Kutnow's Powder Antique Vintage Aqua Blue Glass Bottle Quack Medicine England
This is an antique Kutnow's Powder bottle. Kutnow's was used to(supposedly) cure everything from liver problems. Kidney problems, headaches, gout, etc. The bottle has a mold seam that ends at the base of the neck and measures 4-3/4" tall, 2-1/2" wide across the front and 1-3/4" wide across the side. The bottom is embossed with.K s. P. The bottle has a line in the lip which I think is a production flaw but may possibly be a crack. It also has some scuffing. Here at auction is an antique prescription bottle. Glass stopper is original and the liquid remains in the bottle is a little over 3/4 full. The bottle and stopper is approx. 5 1/2" tall and 2" diameter bottom. I cannot remove the glass stopper. So the bottle is sold as is. It looks like it has leaked and is soiled, but I was afraid to try to clean it up. Label is so very old and fragile. Check close up photo of the glass stopper. It has no cracks or chips but does feel rough along the edge and appears there is a seam just along the edge, the photo shows the small roughness. The Oil of Juniper Wood smells very good. If I could remove the stopper I would clean it out and keep the oil for fragrance. If you have questions please ask.

THIS LISTING IS FOR A VINTAGE/ANTIQUE BOTTLE. CONTENTS ARE INCIDENTAL AND NOT FOR USE OF ANY KIND. Vintage/antique Dr. Harter's Iron Tonic quack medicine bottle still sealed over the cork with contents present. It will come to you with it's original box(or at least that portion of the original box still intact) The bottle is brown in color with a cork stopper and measures about 9" tall. Excluding cork. It has molded writing on both side panels. Front label and label covering cork and neck of bottle are still present. Box provides information about the tonic in both English and Spanish. Dr. Harter. Who I assume is the gentleman pictured in the graphics, manufactured from St. Louis and New York. CONDITION USED- VINTAGE/ANTIQUE- UNOPENED The bottle is in excellent condition. Unopened and sealed. Label over cork has some discoloration, edge wear, etc. Box is in bad shape with top missing and tears in the upper third. The graphics are still fully legible. This is an Apothecary Jar or Bottle with the Label Under Glass. The bottle was used for Tincture of Benzoin. A local antiseptic. Neck has been broken off at some point, and expertly repaired. One chip on the rim. I would date the bottle from 1870 to 1910.
