1800's Malakof Russian Stomach Bitters Black Americana Advertising Trade Card
Offered here is a rare original late 1800’s Malakof Russian Stomach Bitters advertising trade card with black Americana Woman farting. It advertises that the Malakof stomach bitters are for women and their ailments. The card normally would measure 5" x 3 1/4" But as you can see it is missing a piece from the lower left corner and a small piece on the right edge. There is a tear on left side in about 1.75” and corner wear and missing paper. I know it is a little rough but this card is rare and 80% is still present. Reasearch this card and you'll know how hard it is to get. If you collect Bitters or Black Americana this is a must have. Good luck.

This auction is for one authentic"PARKER'S GINGER TONIC" lithographed trade card. Printed by the Giles Lithograph& Liberty Printing Company in New York. Which was known for great artwork, large maps, and charming trade card scenes. The advertisement for Parker’s Ginger Tonic depicts a young barefoot girl in a dress. She is leaning against a wall with outstretched arms. The wording is“Everybody needs at times the invigorating help of Parker’s Ginger Tonic” The reverse of the card includes information about three products: Parker’s Hair Balsam. Parker’s Ginger Tonic, and Hindercorns. A circular picture of a woman with long hair accompanies Parker’s Hair Balsam which restores color, stops falling of hair, removes dandruff, cures itching and humors. Two testimonials accompany Parker's Ginger Tonic which is the"best ... morecure for coughs and consumption and all diseases arising from defective nutrition, impure blood and exhaustion" Hindercorns removes corns, bunions, warts, and callouses. The balsam and tonic are sold in large bottles for 50 cents and $1.00 and the Hindercorns is 15 cents. Hiscox& Co. 163 William Street, New York. Originally collected for a personal scrapbook. Well over a century ago, this example rates a"Very Fine" Condition. Great pastel colors. Strong image, wonderful period text, sharp edges, and strong lithograph paper makes this a prize to the lithograph collector. The only blemish is a small pin hole at the top of the card, probably from when the card was posted on a grocer's shelf, and a paper flake in the Hindercorns text. This trade card measures an exact 4 1/2 inches tall by 2 7/8 inches wide. Flat and uncrinkled. Look closely at the photos to judge the great quality. It is an authentic antique! Not a reproduction. A great addition to collections focused on Victorian lithography or patent medicine advertisements. It was discovered in a Victorian scrapbook containing papers. A trade card with a date: Registered June 5th. 1877. It is thin comared to the usual trade card but 2 sided like a trade card should be. Imperial Granum is described as being good for infants, children and invalids and some of the claims are that it helps digestion. In good condition with a few minor stains on the back. Up for auction is a rare Swiss Mono lithograph trade card/advertisement. Dated March 1907, featuring an illustration by Swiss graphic artist C. Carl) Moos. Moos participated in an art competition at the 1920 Olympics on behalf of Switzerland. The image is an advertisement for Histosan. And features a Swiss skiing scene, with two well-dressed ladies sitting on a bench at the top of a ski run, looking out upon a village nestled in an Alpine valley. Histosan appears to be a patent medicine which is recommended for catarrh. Bronchitis, influenza, and other ailments. Published by the Internationale Mono-Gesellschaft in Winterthur. These premiums.
