ANTIQUE EDWARDIAN QUACK DOCTOR MEDICAL SHOCK MACHINE. The case is made from mahogany with brass fittings. The machine is in excellent condition and comes with all its equipment. There is a compartment for the equipment to be stored away. I have not been able to test the machine as I do not have a battery. I assume it should work because it is in great condition. Antique Quack Medical Dinshah Spectro-Chrome Color Therapy Projector
This machine was invented and patented by Dinshah P. Bhadiali who produced these color therapy machines in the 1920s. He believed that it cured many different ailments including cancer. He believed by shooting different color lights at certain spots the people could be cured. This machine is excellent working condition. All of the color lenses and clear lenses are intact and still operational. The 1.000 watt bulb still also works. The outer box made of heavy aluminum with some wear in some areas. The cord in frayed and may have to be replaced.

Up for auction is hard to find"Boyd's Battery" quack medicine pendant from 1878- 1879. The most famous of the medical batteries was the Boyd's Battery. They were made with different metals that promised to create a healing electrical current when pressed against your skin. The galvanic properties were released by the different metals reacting to the moisture in your skin. Antique Quack Medical Induction Coil Shock Electropathic Instrument
Up for bids today is what I believe to be an antique Quack Medical Induction Coil device. Perhaps used for"electropathic shock" therapy in the 1930's or prior. There are no identifying marks on this item, but the base is made of wood and the top plate that everything is mounted on is perhaps bakelite, but I am not sure. The dimensions of the piece are 9.75" x 11" and about 3" tall at the highest point. As you can see in the photos, there is some wear, and a small tear in the material that is wrapped around the coil. The induction coil, from what I've read, is for the purposes of applying high voltage, low current to the body. The adjustable rod(second to the last photo) varies the intensity of the shock. Up for auction here today is a no 4 D.D. Home medical apparatus. I bought this from a estate sale a few years back for a 100.00 and I am just trying to recoup some of my money. It is missing quite a few different things to actually be considered complete. What it comes with is pictured in the above photographs. And what it is missing is outlined in the condition description. If you are missing a few parts to make yours complete. A couple of good points to mention about this apparatus are as follows: The label is in pretty good legible condition which is more then I can say for some of the other machines I have seen on ebay that have sold. ANTIQUE DUPLEX OXYGENATOR TURN OF THE CENTURY QUACK MEDICINE
This is a really nice piece that is in fine condition for its age. It is a Duplex Oxygenator made by the Oxygenator Company of Buffalo. New York. This I believe was made in the very early 1900's. It must have cured everything from the common cold, to STD's and cancer. This is a great piece for anyone who collects medial quackery devices. I believe this to be complete and comes in the original aluminum case. I don't have the instructions so I don't know how to use it. Even if I had them, I don't think I'd go and hock myself up to it. Vintage Antique Quackery Quack Medicine Medical Electro Electric shock machine
This is a strange old piece of"medical" quackery. I don't know much about it other than it was in my parents basement and they are cleaning things out like the many late 1800's and early 1900's blueprints I had for sale and the glass negatives. The man who used to live there had several strange things like this that we are finally getting around to selling. My dad said this actually works. Or at least gets current through it, but we don't really know what it does. There are no markings with a name that I can see. The front of the box has a pretty scrolled silver lock(that works) and the box opens up to see the handles with the electric cords and the knobs and whatnot. The box itself is a heavy wood and measures about 9" tall. 7.5 deep and 6.75 wide We would be interested in learning more if you know what this ... moreis just for curiosity sake. This unique Quack Medical Device is in great condition. It was patented May 17. 1904. The Davis Electric Company Sole Manufacturers Parkersburg, WV. It is number 9161. I believe it was used as some sort of voltage machine. Like an ancient electrical stimulating machine with several places to hook electrodes. It has foot plate hook up on the side. Vintage Antique Phrenology Psychiatry Quack Medical Shock Device VERY RARE
Here is a VERY rare phrenology device. I have only seen one other one of these and it was in a museum. I have never seen one on eBay. You probably will never have an opportunity to purchase one of these again. It is totally complete except for the key(to lock the box) The batteries are original and quite rare themselves. The batteries have very little power left in them. So the device will not work with the original batteries hooked up. I did build a battery pack that would mimic the original batteries to see if the unit worked. It did. It operated flawlessly. You can see(and hear) a quick video of the unit generating high voltage by clicking. I will include the battery pack with this auction. The markings on the box are interesting"Schule Althabendorf. It does work(see photos) The case is extremely worn. The hinges are no longer attached, the lid comes off freely, the lining is deteriorating. The wand is in very good condition. Antique bit of medical quackery OXYDONOR VICTORY. Invented made& sold by Dr Hercule Sanche. Patent years engraved on the 3 5/8" by 1" diameter metal capsule: 1890, 1892, 1894, 1897, 1898. This device claimed to cure almost anything by forcing oxygen into the body. The tube is supposedly filled with carbon and would have been placed in icy water while the attached wires conducted the"life force" to electrodes attached to the patient. We do not have the electrodes. Nickel plating on the capsul is worn and scratched and the woven cloth covering on the wire is worn. Kutnow's Powder Antique Vintage Aqua Blue Glass Bottle Quack Medicine England
This is an antique Kutnow's Powder bottle. Kutnow's was used to(supposedly) cure everything from liver problems. Kidney problems, headaches, gout, etc. The bottle has a mold seam that ends at the base of the neck and measures 4-3/4" tall, 2-1/2" wide across the front and 1-3/4" wide across the side. The bottom is embossed with.K s. P. The bottle has a line in the lip which I think is a production flaw but may possibly be a crack. It also has some scuffing. Antique Fulton's Diabetic Compound Full Medicine Bottle Quack Signed Label Rare
This is an auction for an antique bottle of Fulton's Diabetic Compound. The bottle is about 8-1/4" tall and 2-3/4" wide. The bottle seems to have never been opened and still contains all of it's original contents. The label is still about 85% present but damaged. There is a name penciled in on the label of a John J. Fulton(Last name is partially missing due to tear) John Fulton was the owner of John J. Fulton Co who obviously made this medicine. It is unknown if this is his actual handwriting but from fading you can tell it was written onto the bottle a very long time ago! The bottle has many air bubbles throughout with one burst surface bubble in the back of the bottle. There are no other chips. Cracks, or scratches noted. The bottom of the bottle says either PCCW or PCGW. The seams stop at the base of the neck.
