This is an antique Kutnow's Powder bottle. Kutnow's was used to(supposedly) cure everything from liver problems. Kidney problems, headaches, gout, etc. The bottle has a mold seam that ends at the base of the neck and measures 4-3/4" tall, 2-1/2" wide across the front and 1-3/4" wide across the side. The bottom is embossed with.K s. P. The bottle has a line in the lip which I think is a production flaw but may possibly be a crack. It also has some scuffing. This is an auction for an antique bottle of Fulton's Diabetic Compound. The bottle is about 8-1/4" tall and 2-3/4" wide. The bottle seems to have never been opened and still contains all of it's original contents. The label is still about 85% present but damaged. There is a name penciled in on the label of a John J. Fulton(Last name is partially missing due to tear) John Fulton was the owner of John J. Fulton Co who obviously made this medicine. It is unknown if this is his actual handwriting but from fading you can tell it was written onto the bottle a very long time ago! The bottle has many air bubbles throughout with one burst surface bubble in the back of the bottle. There are no other chips. Cracks, or scratches noted. The bottom of the bottle says either PCCW or PCGW. The seams stop at the base of the neck. DOCTOR CRUMB'S UNION OINTMENT antique medicine cork bottle aqua excellent 2 3/4"
I listed this as a quack medicine but have not researched it so I could be wrong. The bottle is small. 2 3/4" long and 1 1/4" across on the bottom. It is not square as the sides are octagonal. The top extends from the base by about an inch. It has an inside diameter of 3/4" and an outside diameter of 1 1/8" Nice aqua color and quite clear as I think you can see in my pictures. I forgot to take a picture looking directly at the top and at the bottom. I will do so and add later. Some air bubbles. Lettering is embossed. No chips or cracks. Nice original turn of the century(1900's) example of"modern medicine" This is a full. Unopened bottle of Foley's Honey and Tar Compound in the original box, complete with the directions/ advertising page. According to the label, it is an expectorant and demulcent for coughs, cold, hoarseness, and children's coughs which should not be neglected. This elixer contains no opiates or other harmful drugs, however it does contain 7% alcohol. Interestingly, the label also says it is safe for infants. Okay, so we've come a long way in medicine. These pieces are in good condition- the bottle retains its original cork and is unopened, the paper label is complete with some light stains as shown. The box top is rough, the flaps are gone and there is a 2.5" approximately) tear on the left side, a smaller tear on the right ... moreside. The direction sheet is VERY fragile. It measures approximately 11.5" tall by 11" wide. The crease lines from being folded are thin and some of them are split, there are holes in the fold corners. It would probably best preserved framed. And I found some fabulous primitive antiques, as well as boxes and boxes of antique and vintage hardware that I will be listing for a long long time- someone clearly was a woodworker or dabbled in furniture creation or restoration. There’s something for everyone! O.K. I love me an old quack medicine bottle- the more bizarre the message the better, and this one will not disappoint. What I have here is an antique light blue/green colored bottle that advtertises what it used to hold, Dr. Kennedy's, on one side, Roxbury MASS, on the other, and, MEDICAL DISCOVERY, on the front of the bottle in relief letting. It's a molded glass bottle- the mold line seen at two adjacent ... morecorner edges going up the side of the bottle from the base, and stopping before it gets to the bulbous base. It measures 3 1/4" wide, 2" deep and 9 1/4" tall. It is in excellent solid and sturdy condition. The glass is thick, and there's bubbles, lines, and burps inside- anomolies original to the making. No chips or cracks that I can find at all. LOVE how thick the glass on the bottom is. It's dusty on the outside, and slightly hazy dirty on the inside- so could use a good cleaning, I have not cleaned it in any way- it's as found, and it will make a fabulous display piece or addition to your collection! ANTIQUE GLASS STOPPER BOTTLE TOUT DRUG PHARMACY OIL JUNIPER WOOD
Here at auction is an antique prescription bottle. Glass stopper is original and the liquid remains in the bottle is a little over 3/4 full. The bottle and stopper is approx. 5 1/2" tall and 2" diameter bottom. I cannot remove the glass stopper. So the bottle is sold as is. It looks like it has leaked and is soiled, but I was afraid to try to clean it up. Label is so very old and fragile. Check close up photo of the glass stopper. It has no cracks or chips but does feel rough along the edge and appears there is a seam just along the edge, the photo shows the small roughness. The Oil of Juniper Wood smells very good. If I could remove the stopper I would clean it out and keep the oil for fragrance. If you have questions please ask.

HEPANTHUS Miracle Elixir Quack Medicine Bottle 1947 Liniment Antique Amber
This listing is for a old unused antique full pint bottle of HEPANTHUS on the bottom of the bottle a local antique dealer said the bottles stamp indicates right about 1947. The bottom has a 9 the letter I in a circle and a 7 with a 18 at the bottom. The antique dealer couldn't tell me what it was worth because he had never heard of Hepanthus before. He did say he had seen the mixture of chemicals before as liver repair liniments and instant mood boosters. He warned me not to even think about taking a sample taste as there is enough Podophyllum. Echinacea and Dioscorea in just a ounce to give the average person a flipping heart attack. I couldn't find any info on HEPANTHUS on the internet. I don't collect this weird stuff and this bottle was inherited so im selling it.

It has molded writing on both side panels. Front label and label covering cork and neck of bottle are still present. Box provides information about the tonic in both English and Spanish. Dr. Harter.
