This is an antique advertisement from a 1905 issue of J. W. Pepper's Musical Times& Band Journal. Published in Philadelphia. The sheet measures 12 1/2 X 9 1/2 inches and is in good condition aside from a small repaired tear on the upper right edge. Slight curling& small bends in the corners, and light age toning. The sheet advertises violoncellos and double basses. It is illustrated with fine wood engravings of the instruments. It is a nice looking piece of musical instrument history. From a scarce source and is suitable for framing. This is an antique advertisement printed in 1905. The piece of paper is over 100 years old. It is not a modern re-print. Antique Gilbert Clock 12 Day wind-up This clock has more variations of it’ stile than any clock I have ever seen. I have had at least 8 different trim-stiles. So when this came along I just had to have it. The case and shape, and works(Gilbert) are always the same, just the painting(or decal) are different. This clock came to me with an electric movement, no movement cover, and no pendulum. A correct Gilbert movement and brass movement cover have been replaced. The movement cover has been repaired and painted. The pendulum rod has been added to the an original bob.

Shows great age wear and crusty finish. With its fully intact wood strapping lid also wood hand turned and great signs of wear and use. THIS IS A REMARKABLE PRINT AD FOR A FAMOUS MEAT COMPANY. NOTE THE PHONE NUMBER Roosevelt 3000 see facts below. The Fuhrman and Forster Company was a meatpacking and sausage manufacturing company located in Chicago. It was founded by three German immigrants from Bavaria. John and Andrew Fuhrman started the Fuhrman Brothers meat market at 408 W. Harrison in Chicago in 1897 and invited brother-in-law George Forster to join them in 1898 creating Fuhrman Bros. and Forster Meat Markets. The name was soon changed to the Fuhrman and Forster Co. By 1902. They operated 5 meat markets in the Pilsen neighborhood area of Chicago. This neighborhood was largely populated by Czechoslovakian and Bohemian immigrants who were very fond of Fuhrman and Forster products. Their lard was very popular with the women for baking. The company's horse-drawn delivery ... morewagons were a common sight in the neighborhood as they delivered Fuhrman and Forster Co. products to many of the local butcher shops as well as their own stores. The horses were kept in stables behind one of the stores located at 1748 West 21st Place. By 1919. The wagons and horses were replaced by motor trucks which at one time numbered 75. The company was incorporated in 1920 and closed all retail outlets in 1923 to concentrate on pork packing and sausage manufacturing. By the 1940s the yellow and blue trucks were delivering product to customers on Chicago's west side and suburbs such as Berywn, Cicero and Riverside. Several different types of delivery trucks were used over the years with the most popular being manufactured by International(shown here) and GMC. The company owned and operated their own fleet except for a few years in the late 1930s when the fleet was owned and operated by Hertz Corp. and leased back by the Fuhrman and Forster Co. Here is a wonderful. Rare vintage casket/ coffin advertisement from a mortuary/ funeral home. I was told it came from the first female mortician of Massachusetts. I am not sure when- I would guess early to mid 20th century. The frame measures about 23.75 x 27.75-inches along the outside. It is dark. Glazed wood. The image is in wonderful condition. I assume it is hand made, though it may be printed. It reads, A Casket is a lasting shrine not utilized solely for display. How true. The coffin pictured certainly looks cozy. It's in very good condition given it's age with only minor fading in the upper middle and a few small minor stains. It has vibrant gold lettering and lots of detail that is still very visible. It measures about 2 feet wide by 16" tall.I have only seen ONE other for sale and it was in much worse condition. When I brought it to the antique shop I had to fight to get it back! Ad for"soothing plasters" reads: Shaker Soothing Plasters- Good For Backache. A.J. White. Proprietor. 168 Duane St. New York. Its in a weathered little frame with gold paint on the front only. There is no glass on the frame. It appears to have some age since the paper itself is a little brittle, but I don't have a clear idea of the date it was made since the ad is attached to a piece of wood that makes up the back of the frame. Its cute! Its dimenions are 4 x 6 with the frame; the ad itself is 3 1/3 x 5 1/4 inches.

Antique advertisement of an old-time gospel preacher. Named Dr. Myers. It mentions a quartet it says is famous-the Lotus Male Quartet, and a soprano soloist, Mme. Wilhelmina Wright Calvert. There is an engraving print of what might be Tremont Temple, the place the show is said to be held. I am only guessing, but suspect this is from the 19th century. Please look over pics for condition. Hi I am not happy I have taken several pictures of my crock rolling pin and cant get the words on the picture to show up to good but it says J.C. Bremser Groceries and Meat and Market.Shoes-Hats,Caps sand Notions Mill feed, Hay and Salt. It was in my grandmothers kitchen and she said the grocer gave it because she was a great customer but she said he had a crush on her. she was quite a fox and very pretty. But it is very old and in good condition. I seen one in a antique news paper and there rolling pin brought $700.00 but I am not trying to rob you I will sell it for 650.00 and I will pay shipping in USA or will let you know what the price would be to ship out of USA I think it is very nice Hope someone will think of my grandmother Dorothy when they look at it.

Antique London Life Cork Tip 10 Cent Cigarettes Tin Advertisement 1915? LOOK!!

The ad says"London Life Cork Tip Cigarettes"Most Extraordinary" 10 c" If you look at the tax stamp on the pack of cigarette s in the corner i t looks like it is dated 1915 but I am not sure if that is how old this advertisement is. It does advertise a pack of cigarettes costing 10 cents though so it has to be pretty old though. The advertisement is made on tin and measures roughly 22.75 inches by 11 inches. It does have some dings and marks on it as you can see in the photos but it has lasted for over 100 years. There are some holes in the sign where it was probably nailed up. This is an excellent addition to any collection. All the items I sell are in pre-owned condition ... moreand may have wear from age. Use, and storage. I am no expert though so I have not graded these items but have taken photos so you can see them and make your own judgements. I do not know the exact age of this item but it may be older.
