A beautifully made unusual Norwegian sterling silver salt cellar. It is hallmarked 925S along with the makers mark of David Andersen. A mark used from 1888 until 1925. I would date this piece to the early 20 th century. It has been beautifully designed being in the form of a nicely detailed Viking ship complete with its original glass liner. It is in perfect condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs. The liner is free from chips cracks and repairs. It measures a touch under 3.5 inches(8.5cms) long and weighs 33 grams including the liner. A beautifully made more unusual example.
