Antique Indian Solid Silver Novelty Barrel Shape Raised Relief& Engrave Decorated Tea Caddy c. 1890 This Antique Tea Caddy or Tea Box measures approximately 3 inches or 7 7 mm across the widest part of its central body from side to side and it stands 4 1/8 inches or 104 mm tall to the top of the finial or handle on its lid. The tea caddy is hand made from 147.8 grams of solid silver in the novelty form of a coopered barrel that has a slightly domed push fitting circular lid. The outer rim of the lid overhangs the body and it has a step decorated center with a ball shaped finial or handle on the top for ease of opening. The outer body of the barrel has engrave decorated strap s that segregate the body into eighteen shaped panels of which nine of them have an alternate plannished or hammered decoration and the other nine panels along with ... morethe lid have been wonderfully hand embossed or raised relief and engrave decorated with Indian village scenes. The tea caddy or box has Not been engraved with a previous owners initials or family monogram and the underside of the body has been engraved with what I presume is an Indian silversmith or makers mark V75 all as photographed below, although I have been unable to find any silver marks as is very typical with these antique Indian silver items the tea caddy or tea box has been tested and it is guaranteed as being made from solid silver. I estimate that this novelty shape tea caddy was made circa 1880- 1900. The condition is used and Excellent for its age. The tea caddy has No Large Dents. No Holes, No Splits, No Cracks and No Repairs that I can find, the tea caddy stands straight, the definition and decoration is very crisp, the lid opens and closes tightly with ease although as the tea caddy is a used antique it does have some small shallow dents around its body and lid rim that are hardly worth mentioning along with the obvious signs that it was hand made and it has some extremely minor surface marks and wear from use, it has the patina of age that is to be expected a

This is an old antique very hard to find porcelain statue of a native American Indian scout with a rifle. This came from a very huge collection of Royal Dux figurines and I will be listing others later. The figure is 12 1/2" tall and 6 3/4" wide where rifle is. It has fine detail and has the pink triangle mark on bottom with embossed numbers below. The rifle metal shaft end has been repaired and so has his two feathers on his head. Fancy Great Lakes Indian Quill Box / Basket with Elaborate Quillwork
Up for auction is a beautifully crafted round quill box made by a talented Native American artist from one of the Northern Indian tribes from the Great Lakes region. Probably the Ojibwa. Hundreds of porcupine quills were used in its construction, and the earthtone colors were all crafted using the natural shading of the quills. Look at the fancy three-dimensional quillwork pattern with a central tuft of red-tinted quills adorning the lid. The underlying box was made of birchbark, and the sides are fully quilled in white quills. The rims are made of sweetgrass bound with the customary black thread binding. If you look carefully on the underside, you can see the year the basket was made, 1964. This awesome quill box will be the centerpiece of someone's collection. The box is a nice medium size and larger than many. Measuring 3" in ... morediameter and 2" deep, with the raised center adding another half inch or so. This basket is in amazing shape for being almost 50 years old. It has NO missing or damaged quills whatever, and all of the bark and sweetgrass forming the body of the basket and the rims are also complete and undamaged. I have taken photos of all sides so you can see. Someone certainly took excellent care of it. As you can see, the basket has an outstanding display quality and the attractive design is just gorgeous. The doll is enclosed in what appears to be her original packaging and has a label that reads“Blackfeet Indian Craft Shop Browning Montana. There is another tag on the inside around the dolls neck with writing. It dates from the 1930's or 1940's and measures approximately 5 + 5/8 inches long and 2 + 5/8 inches at her widest point. This is a very tall(over 20 inches tall. 7 inches wide& 6 inches deep) Cigar Store Indian and weighs in close to 6 pounds. This item is very unusual as it is in two pieces and with the top cover off, there is a 3 1/2 x 2 1/4 x 7 inch deep hollowed out space which I assume could be used for candy on a counter display or maybe used as a secret hiding place in someone's home. Whatever the use, this unusual Cigar Store Indian appears to be in one piece and is a very attractive figure of the famous Indian style display. It appears to be made of some sort of resin or very hard plastic and from a distance gives the appearance of being made of wood, especially with the grooved lines on the statue. It is in excellent condition with no noticeable damage. Vintage Sadler Tea Caddy-The World Of Tea Collection-Indian Tea Design
This is a nice little tea caddy from Sadler's The World Of Tea Collection. Design name Indian Tea as marked on the base along with Made In England. It is in good condition with no chips, cracks or crazing and the rubber seal around the inside of the lid is still a tight fit. It measures approx 6.5" tall, 3.75" long and 2.25" wide.
