To be functional, it needs a pull or operator which was missing when we found the bell. These can be found here on Ebay or at architectural salvage shops and are even reproduced. It has a patent date of December 30, 1879 on the back. The bell has a diameter of 4 1/2 inches; with the mounting holes included, it has a total width of 5 5/8 inches. The surface shows wear and has some bits of old paint here and there from when the door it was once mount on was painted several times over the decades. It's a nice, original Victorian element salvaged from an old Western New York home that's ready for reuse in the renovation of another house of the same period. Here is an old cast iron lamp finial that is large enough to be seen and will enhance the look of your lamp. It is about 3 11/16 inches tall. This finial has a larger threaded hole designed to fit onto standard lamp rod(shown in two of the photos) So it may have been designed to be the top of a floor lamp or the crowning detail in a large table lamp. It has has gold paint that may be original but we are assuming it has been repainted. There is some paint loss in a few spots that you can see in the photos. It is shaped like a pillar or column.

Vintage Cast Iron Pot with Brass Lid Handle-Fire Starter with Pumice Stone Wand
Offered is this neat vintage fire starter for your hearth. About 8 1/2 inches tall and about 8 inches at widest point. It is cast iron and has a cast iron lid with a solid brass knob. The pumice stone wand is 11 1/4 inches long and has a ovoid pumice stone on one end and a brass knob(painted black) on the other end. The lid has a notch so you can close the lid to put out the wand when finished starting your fire. This one was clearly used, as the pot has soot on the inside, an odor of kerosene and the rod on the wand is bent from overheating. In very good condition the pot has no visible damage or cracks. But it does have some surface dirt and oxidation that needs a good cleaning. I wiped off years of surface dust but didn't delve deeper. Pair of antique vintage soda fountain bar stools from the 40's. They are cast iron with an overlay of porcelain. The seats are oak with the outer rim of cast iron porcelain. Some of the porcelain is off of the bottom and could use some more cleaning. There are a couple of places around the seat that the porcelain has a chip. One oak seat has a better finish than the other. I think they are in good condition for the age and could be refurbished to look very nice. They measure 25in. high with the seats on and the bottom is 24 in. tall without the seat that fits down in the hole. The base is 7 in. square and the seat is about 11 1/2in. wide. They both have a brass foot rest that slips right onto the bottom. I am showing you a picture of the foot rest and how it is made. They weigh about 28 lbs a piece. Antique McDonald well water pump manufactured in Dubuque. Iowa. This is in extremely good condition! Missing one square nut and that bolt is stripped but can be replaced easily. Pump has been inside our home since it was built in 1900. It was used for cistern water in our basement. I cut the supply pipe off on the bottom and if you want to actually use it. You would need to heat that up with a torch to remove the pipe. All of the other nuts and bolts cam loose without effort. No cracks or chips in this pump. It has spent it's life in our basement. A fine cast metal sculpture of a duck or goose(it strongly attracts a magnet) It's vintage Japanese and both feet are stamped"JAPAN" Stands 12 inches tall and weighs about 3.5 pounds. there is a marked" oct 14 1910" on the bottom of the oval shape glass. the rim/edge of the glass piece has some crack on it. Up for sale is a great antique hanging balance scale in amazing condition. It has gradients for 1-10 lbs on one side and if you flip it over it goes up to 50 lbs. It is marked by the blacksmith who made it. ATKLN" is stamped on one side(I was able to find reference to a person with this last name in the January 1918 edition of the Blacksmith's Journal) and"WARRANTL'D" is stamped on the other side. Both the scale and the counterweight are in excellent condition.
