Scottish antique crusie lamp. Used to make a light in a cottage or bothie, by placing a wick in whale oil. A form of hanging lamp, used for centuries in Scotland and blacksmith made. Real Folk Art. I have had this for 20 years. I got it out of the Basement of the Old Nationa City Bank Buliding in Downtown Anderson Indiana. I got it when I was doing a Boiler Demolition job& this was in a room they had me empty out for the scrap. Not a bad score: I have seen the base in a few different variations. This 1 has hole's drilled in it& 2 wheels mounted. I assume the other holes are for other wheels. The pipe that held the policeman has 2 holes drilled with the bolts still intact the third hole has no bolt. This old origional cast iron base is in great shape. National Safe Cast Iron Safe Bank- Scarce
Being offered is a wonderful Cast Iron Safe Bank known as the National Safe. The bank is quite old but I do not have a date. It measures 5-1/8" H x 3-3/4" W x 3-3/4" D. This bank can be found in the ISB book pages 5& 6 Item#26. It is rated D for Scarce. The bank can also be found in Moores-The Penny Bank Book p.53. What makes this bank so unique is that it is one of the only cast iron safe banks that has the combination dial as the safe door. The bank has very interesting depictions on all sides and on the top(See Pictures) The coin slot is located on the back It comes with a working combination. However it is difficult to open once it has been locked. For as long as I have had it it has been displayed with the safe door slightly ajar. The combination will be given to the winner. It will be shipped with the door open. The ... morebank has no breaks or cracks in cast iron. It does have spots where the paint is missing. The inside of the bank is in great condition with only a very small area that shows some surface rust. The bank will be shipped USPS Priority Mail along with a tracking number. Rare Antique Goat Head Cast Iron Door Knocker
Offered for sale is this rare antique cast iron goat head door knocker. There is a small chipping off on the lower part at the left side tip. Please see pictures#7, 8& 9, otherwise, it is in excellent condition. It measures 11"tall x 2-3/4"wide x 2-1/8"deep. It is heavy and weighs 1 lb 13 oz. The door knock did not come with a strike plate and missing the screw. The door knocker is probably designed for iron door/gate. It mounts on the door using a 1/4"D screw. It is easy to find this screw at hardware shop. The maker's name is on the underside of the knocker, please see picture#9, but I can't make it out. It is an old piece but don't know the age. The door knocker is in good shape and functioning well.

Primitive General Country Store Tobacco Rope Cutter Abliene Ks Kansas cast iron
This is an old cast iron primitive cutter of some type good for a general store or country store. It is marked on top of the handle. Pat Aug 11 08 J.A. Tufts Abilene Kas. 12 1/2 inches long counting the wood handle that turns, 7 inches wide counting the cast iron handle. It consists of an angled trough in which you put something, then hold it in place with the handle, mount it on end of a bench, turn the handle that rotates the blade and that cuts off whatever is in trough. The previous owner called it a pipe cutter, but the cutting blade does not look strong enough for that and the angle trough would only accomodate a small diameter pipe, so my guess are: rope cutter, tobacco cutter, or sausage cutter. Probably you need to tell me. No damage or repairs or breaks, does need to be cleaned up if you prefer, we always leave cleaning to new owner. ... moreNever seen one before. Vintage Cast Iron Fancy Design Pulley
This neat looking pulley would be a nice addition to a collection or(with a little work) could be used on a project. The hub appears to have been brazed at some point with a bushing pressed in the bore. I cannot guarantee anything that's brazed so BUYER BEWARE. This may never cause a problem but. Who knows? There are some round glare spots on one of the images that are not actually on the paint. Weighs in at 55 lbs according to my scale. LARGE Cast Iron No. 2 School Dinner Farm BELL 2 Yoke & Crystal Metal Cradle
Antique#2 Cast Iron Crystal Metal Bell with the Yoke. Upright Cradle and Ring ing Arm Crank. Bells like these w ere used since the 1800's on Rural Farms and small Country Churches. Old Farm Bells in this condition are getting very rare and do not come up for sale very often! The bell measures 15" Diameter. The bell. Upright, yoke and crank does not have any cracks in the castings and the bell still has a beautiful and loud tone despite its age and weathering. The only markings on the bell is the number"2" on one side of the Yoke. The Cradle is marked Crystal Metal. There is a few places where the casting was not perfect. Which is characteristic of many early cast iron bells. The inside looks almost like it has never been rung.
