It is made in one piece with a long handle and a deep, oblong shaped bowl. The bowl has a unique drain home in the center. It has one knot hole at the front bottom where the bowl meets the handle which does not go through to the back. It has a hanging hole at the top of the handle. 17th Century Dutch Violin Jan Boumeester Amsterdam c1670 w/ Case Free Ship w/BIN
Free UPS Next Day Shipping If'Buy it Now' Is Selected! Offered is a RARE Jan Boumeester 4/4 violin. ca. 1670. Generally Amati modeling. One piece back. There is a typed label: Jan Boumeester. Amsterdam. 1670. Obviously not an original label. Rather an identification tag for an auction house, appraiser, violin shop, etc. Although I do not have a professional COA, I am convinced it is an authentic Jan Boumeester based upon Boumeester's pronounced scroll bosses, and finely executed scroll, f hole and edge work. The violin is in its original Baroque form. En lieu of a COA, the'Buy it Now' is approximately 1/2 current market value. My return policy states that if the violin is not as described, I offer a full refund, less return shipping cost. The sound post is set. The violin will have new Thomastik Dominants installed prior ... moreto shipping. Included is a good condition modern case(not pictured) No bow. Condition: Antique. There is a tight ~5" long crack on the top from the bottom of the bass f hole to the bottom edge. It has been expertly repaired. There is a ~3.5" crack in the upper bass bout. Top. There are two ~1.5" cracks in the upper treble bout, top, near the neck. These three cracks are tight and stable. I do not know if they are repaired. There is no movement with light pressure. There are two top to rib seam repairs: one is near the neck heel; the other is in the chin rest area. All afore mentioned issues are stable currently. No back cracks. No rib cracks. No peg box cracks. Never a bass bar or sound post crack. No open seams. The neck needs a reset, as there is a slight mis-alignment between the neck heel and button. The neck is stable, and the angle is close to Baroque specs. The peg box has been bushed. Please view photos for more detail. AMERICAN 17th CENTURY FURNITURE -WALLACE NUTTING 1921 Classic Pilgrim Century
Furniture of the Pilgrim Century 1620-1720. Including colonial utensils and hardware” By Wallace Nutting. Published in Boston by Marshall Jones Company in 1921. DISCUSSION: The first book published on the subject of American 17th century furniture. Like all Nutting books. Caution is required in figuring out where the good examples end and the restored or re-manufactured examples begin. This book was beset by controversy almost from the start, as within a year a broadside was circulated by an ironworker stating that he had made many of the examples of ironwork illustrated by Nutting. Still, as with other Nutting books, the sheer volume of furniture illustrated, as well as the important place these volumes have occupied in the literature for over three-quarters of a century, make them worth having. Ames& Ward 1. Speaking of both editions ... moreof the title(which were different enough to really qualify as two different books) notes that they"occasionally contain nuggets of information of use to modern researchers" DESCRIPTION: Hardcover. 8"x11" 587 pages, hundreds of black& white illustrations. With the ownership stamp of Alfred Easton Poor. Alfred Easton Poor[1899-1988] was an American architect. The designer of the Wright Brothers National Memorial, and president of the National Academy of Design in New York from 1966 to 1977. He was involved with many buildings and projects in New York City and Washington, D.C. and has been called"one of America's most prominent twentieth century architects" and a"prominent member of the international school of modern architecture" CONDITION NOTES: The covers and spine have some wear(please see the photo) Some light soil inside. BIZARRE 17th CENTURY BLACK CLAY MAYAN AZTEC AMPHORA POTTERY PITCHER SNAKE
BIZARRE 17th CENTURY BLACK CLAY AMPHORA MAYAN GOD AZTEC WEIRD POTTERY PITCHER SNAKE Ok. I have no clue what age this is. but my picker friends are very excited about it. They say it's hundreds of years old. The clay is light brownish black and for the size, abnormally light in weight, and they believe it was probably sun dried not oven fired. The clay is porous and as I said, lightweight. I can't discern if the gods and people on it are Mayan or Aztec or maybe even Guatemalan. It's 11" tall. Yes, there is a chip on the lip, I bought it that way. It could be worth $50 or $12,000 depending on the true age and original source of the pitcher or vase. It borders between weird and creepy and kinda cool. Stored in smoke free environment and no animals. We sell items like this AS IS and do not guarantee individual items in a bulk ... morelot. Beautiful 17th - 18th Century Silver Filigree Cross Pendant / Wearable
On offer is this very pretty silver gilt filigree cross pendant. Dating to the late 17th- early 18th century(c. 1680- 1720 AD) It has been beautifully constructed from fine wire and applied decoration, a very skilled and time consuming process. The finished piece then gilded with a mellow rose gold. The workmanship is consistant with that found on Dutch jewellery from the 1650's. The Netherlands during this period became extremely wealthy through their trade with the East. Much of the wealth accumilated by the Ducth East India Company. Antique Hungarian Polish Silver Mounted Sword Belt 17th-19th century Hungary Search Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 A superb antique 17th-19th century Hungarian– Polish Nobleman's silver-gilt mounted sword belt. Made in the characteristic Transylvanian manner of belts produced in Hermannstadt- Nagyszeben, present-day Romanian city Sibiu, which was an important goldsmith center, and the producer of weapons and military equipment, not only for Hungary, but also for Central and Eastern Europe. Many of these types of Transylvanian belts were exported to the Kingdom of Poland due to the fact that the costumes and weapons of Hungarian Nobleman were similar to the Polish Nobleman's. Because the belts from Transylvania were very expensive, these types of belts were frequently copied by Polish craftsmen, so sometimes ... moreit is difficult to determine if a belt is an actual Transylvanian product, or made in Poland, but in the Transylvanian style. Some of the belts have been described in Polish museums as Hungarian-Transylvanian, or Polish made in the Transylvanian style. In the Ukrainian museums in Lwow these types of belts are described as Ukrainian belts. 17th -18th Century European Ceramic/Porcelain Jug. VERY RARE
A rare 18th century jug/vase made out of ceramic. A rare 18th century jug/vase made out of ceramic. It has the Anchor mark on the lid and on one side of the upper body. The anchor symbol is believed to be European. Especially British. SRILANKA was a British occupied country back in the 18th century. Before that. Srilanka was occupied by Portuguese and Dutch, but that was during the mid 17th century. So there is a rare chance that this vase could belong to one of the Dutch or Portuguese periods. But I inherited this vase from my wife's parents. Passed down from family, father to son to daughter etc. And this family has a long history of living in the middle parts(non coastal) of Srilanka. Where the British rule was prominent. The Dutch and Portuguese rule was prominent in the coastal areas. So I believe this to be of British origin. And ... morealso the Anchor mark on the lid and on the side of the body looks similar to British era. I am calling this a VASE. Because I honestly don't know if it is a Jug or Vase. A picture speaks a thousand words they say. But explaining them is also vital: The measurements are as of the picture. You can see the height and other measurements of the vase in the pictures. The height is measured with the lid on. Although the lid is not screwed in the picture. Part of the screw of the lid has broken off. But it is very well screwable. And closes tightly. A slight discoloration on the bottom and on the sides of the lower body is visible due to age. Due to fragility and weight of the item. Shipping rates may differ for countries other than USA. I will contact you after the bid finalized and bought. Will send the invoice after discussing shipping terms. Item location is Srilanka. That's about it. If you have any questions. Please feel free to contact me. Posted with

Exquisite Safavid Persian Pottery 17th Century Lustre Blue Glazed Bottle / Vase
This beautiful. Museum quality 17th Century Persian Safavid blue glazed bottle/ pottery/ vase for collector of Safavid or Ancient Persian art measures 5" tall x 5" wide and contains fanciful animal(dog and bird) and plant motifs. The bottle is in good condition for its age(approx. 350 years old) with some expected repairs to the rim. The gold paint and glazed blue color appear throughout the bottle(although some photos seem as if the motifs are partially dark blue and partially gold. This is a result of the flash and all of the motifs are outlined in gold) Some of the animals and plant motifs are more pronounced than others. You can compare it to the similar size and color Safavid bottle sold by Christie's London in 2011: and to another Safavid blue glazed bottle that sold in 1999 which has motifs somewhat similar to this one: ... moreI'm an art and antique collector and have a very nice private collection of art(Renaissance.
