But it will really always be"Grandpa's writing desk" Unfortunately my seller is downsizing their home and grandpa's desk needs to find a new place to go. It is a lovely little piece measuring 39" tall. 27" across and 15" deep. It is in nice condition given it's age, but it does have a small chip out of the front right corner post. You can see it in the photos. The interior is plain with no shelves, drawers or cubbies. The information that I received from the appraisal company is as follows: The drop front oak(not quarter-sawn oak) writing desk is a Mission style Arts and Crafts desk; there is a keyhole in the top of the fall front and a small gallery or backplate on the top back of the desk. There is an"H" stretcher in the middle bottom of the desk and a vertical"X" stretcher on each bottom side of the desk; the legs are quadrant legs; there is one drawer with round brass pulls beneath the fall front. I would date the desk C. 1900-1915; the value would be between $625.00 and $700.00 in today's retail market. Due to the size of this item it will not be available for shipping. 1950s/1960's RETRO DANISH STYLE TEAK FOLDING NEST 4 TABLES& TEA TROLLEY- POSSIBLY POUL HUNDEVAD? see tables opened and put away-see link to utube below* Great retro set of designer solid wood tables believed to be Danish and possibly by the designer Poul Hundevad(for more about this see links below) the video tape helps to show how well made they are and also show more of their existing condition- the set consists of 4 folding tables that slot into runners under the main rectangular table and suspend above the floor so you can push the trolley around freely on the metal castors- these are vintage tables dating to around late 1950's or 1960's so please note that there are some stains and scratches on the tops of the tables so some may wish to sand them down etc-each of the 4 round tables have 3 wood panels making up the table ... moretop- these are hinged together with brass hinges underneath- a couple of the panels do lift slightly-you can push them down again but some may wish to have them fixed professionaly- none of these issues affect the use of these tables but you should be aware of them- the folding of each table and sliding away all works well and the gate legs on the tables all pull out properly and stand up sturdily- the main table is on castors that roll around properly- whilst there are no names on the tables the impressed numbers of the underside of the tables shows how they were numbered and put together- links to other sites do indicate that they are probably Danish and possibly by the Designer Poul Hundevad but we cannot say for certain- we understand they may be teak topped with beech frame but are not certain but they are definitely solid wood with a lovely grain and great looking and neat- they are very useful and compact for occasionaly use and putting away neatly when not required better still the 4 legs on the main trolley all unscrew so you can even dismantle the main tables and put it away too- we will send it to you like this- all you do is screw the legs back on by hand-

I obtained this from the effects of a Major Maltby- Royal Artillery- a heavy artillery expert and pioneer in the First World War who also served in the Second World War- and the booklet contains a number of his hand-written notes and corrections. This set of 4 vintage retro Cal Dak tv trays with rolling stand is in excellent used condition. The tops are made of a fiberglass material and there are no stains. Cracks or scratches. Possiby a dark mahogany? and the tops are done in a wood grain laminate like material. These are certainly old and certainly different. I love the way they slide into the grove of the larger table and then the smallest one slides into the groove of the medium table. So it stores away nicely. When you want to use one or all, you just slide them out and when not in use its a beautiful side table, etc. There are some minor marks on the outside edes and a few minor pieces of venear missing in spots on the sides, but nothing at all major. The coloring is vibrant and beautiful. The gold has no scratches. Dulling color, cracks or scuffs. The middle table looks to have some discoloration, but I think that is from the gold paint bleeding onto the white part. It's shiny and gold, so that is why I say it's a manufacturing flaw. On the small table there is one scratch underneath the screw nut from turning, but that's the only scratch. It has all the screw nuts and washers! One washer is cracked in half.
