The inside measurement, where the glass meets the brass ribbing, is 6-3/4 tall x 4-3/4 wide. The outer measurements are 8-3/8 x 6-3/4. I have a nice large lot of brass wood screws for your consideration. Boxes are more than half and almost full in a few. Far left in first pic are a# 6 1" nickel plate. Pic no. 6 is a 1 1/2" and looks like a 6 thread. These have no box. And the no. 7 pic is a stainless machine head screw. All the others are either a round head or oval head and sizing on the box is what is in them. 2. 3/4, and 7/8#8's. See pics closely for details. Some are chromium plated and some nickel plated. 1700's antique 18th century furniture ROCKING CHAIR from PA Dutch country
This late 18th century(c.1770's-1790's) rocking chair was recently found in Lancaster. Pennsylvania and has that old farm charm! Measuring 41" high at back. This slat back rocker was converted from a regular chair to a rocker most likely during the early 1800's and has a woven rush seat and is made out of what I believe is walnut? The conversion looks like it was done by some country farmer trying to please his wife who wanted to do her knitting by the fireplace while rocking and has blacksmith made square nails and nuts& bolts holding the rocker runners and arm supports in place. Condition: there are some deep holes on the arm rests especially on the right side which appear to have been caused by years of holding one knitting needle in position while the garments were being sewn. A few scratches are seen though a little ... morefurniture polish or wood stain will make them less noticeable. It is still sturdy since I weigh 175 pounds and other than some creaking it still has integrity. If you don't want to spend thousands of $ on some fancy PA rocker from the 1700's and like that old world charm look made by some country furniture maker(reminds me of Mel Gibson making his rockers in the Patriot movie! This is a vintage Whitney Furniture drop-leaf side table. It is in good shape for its age. The knob on the drawer is missing and one of the wooden extenders to support the right table leaf is broken(both easy to fix) The height is 18 1/4. The width 28 1/4 with table extended& 13 1/2 not extended, the depth is 18 1/4. There are visible scuffs, scratches, and water marks in the wood. It is made from maple and is in overall good shape for its age. This table needs just a little tlc to shine in any room.
