Offered here is a nice early Arts and Crafts oak and brass dining gong. Made around 1900. It is made of solid oak and brass, sits on four ball feet and has the original brass and felt mallet. Measuring a total of 10 1/4" high x 9 3/4" wide x 4 1/4" deep. The oak appears to retain its original patina, the brass has been cleaned early in its life. Oak framed. Glass display case made by The Lutke Manufacturing Company in Portland. Oregon I've owned this display case for a quite a long time but unfortunately no longer have anywhere to store it. Therefore I am forced to sell it. Dimensions: 96' L x 26' W x 42-1/2 H Top Shelf: 91-1/2' x 10' Bottom Shelf: 91-1/2' x 14' Additional Info: This display case is in great shape for its age. There are no cracks in the glass. All 4 sliding doors work great but may need a little lubrication for a smoother slide. I suspect from other such photographs that these are friends from the University of Edinburgh Medical School who are just about to leave for France and this is their pre embarkation photograph. Pre embarkation photographs of both individuals and friends were very popular gifts to close family members. The mounting card has J. Drummond Shiels Edinburgh embossed on it but no names on the front or the rear of the mount. John Drummond was a noted Edinburgh Photographer who was noted for his military photographs before the War and was much sought after during the war as a noted photographer. Mirror Beautiful Vintage English Octagonal Oak Framed Beaded Jacobean Beveled Offered here is a beautiful vintage beveled mirror framed in a great oak frame. This piece is from England and is a very nice piece. The wooden frame is in good condtion with no breaks or repairs and just normal surface wear for a piece this age. The frame is good and tight and sturdy and there is a wooden back on the mirror as well. It is octagonal in shape. The mirror itself is beveled. The mirror is not perfect. It does have a fair amount of black speckling to it where the silvering is slightly damaged. So the mirror itself is definately not in mint condition but is in ok condition for it's age. If you are looking for a perfect mirror this one will not work. However. I do think this mirror is still very nice and you really can't notice the issued with ... morethe mirror unless you are looking at it from close up. I tried my best to photograph the surface of the mirror but that is difficult to do. The mirror measures 21 inches across from one side to it's adjacent side. Time Only Fusee clock movement overhaul. Welcome to The Clock Repair Store. Item Info Offered here is a hard to find Oak 2 train fusee clock movement for a nice early cuckoo clock. Or just restore and set on display as a great example of an unusual construction by early clockmakers using local material. Both fusees have early cord. The oak frame around the verge/escape mounting area has been cut open and would need repair. The verge and escape assembly is missing. Its a big movement. I am not as familiar with these wood versions as I am English fusees. The last image shows it next to a Thos Mudge double fusee movement. ANTIQUE LOCKWOOD& ALMQUIST OAK FRAMED DOUBLE SIDED SCHOOL WALL CLOCK CIRCA 1900 Up for auction is this rare large double sided school clock. This came out of a house clean out in NY. The woman thinks that clock came out of PS6 because of the#6 chip. I looked up PS6 and it was around since 1894. The clock's gear housing is marked Pat 1889. The pendulum has a repair on it from years ago. I did not open it up since it holds& will not effect the running of clock. That tape on pendulum is unseen because it is behind the dial face. The clock was not run for years(pendulum was not on. Laying inside clock) so I oiled the gear rod ends before starting. Clock has been running for 8 days and just needs to be tweeked. Clock lost about 11 minutes in 8 days. You just have to move the pendulum weight up till it keeps perfect time. Both clock ... morefaces are good with the one face having a scratch. Both sides keep the same time. Included is the original crank. Size of oak clock box is 18" x 18" x 7 1/2" wide. Wall frame is 29 3/4" long x 5" wide. "ANTIQUE" Oak Framed British Silvered Beveled Glass Mirror
Antique beveled glass mirror with solid 1"X7/8" oak frame. And solid oak three piece paneled back. Inside has a silver stamp British Silvered Glass PB with a 15. And a 2 stamped next to it. This mirror has been mounted, and re-mounted a few times, and the metal hanger I do not believe is original to the piece. However it does have what I believe to be the original small slot headed(common) brass screws holding the back panels on. The mirror itself is in amazing condition with only one small area that has spidering, and cannot really be seen unless you are close up. Tha frame is in great condition with only minor warping in one corner. The ends have dimples and hardware holes where an original bracket may have been so that it could swivel, or flip on its mounts in a horizontal, or vertical position on a dresser, or table. This vintage beveled mirror is in good condition except some of the silvering is eroded as I tried to show in photo 3. I belive it is an oak frame. With a few"dings" along the edge- still a beautiful piece. No hardware for hanging, although that would be an option for oyu to add. The mirror glass and silvering are in good antique condition with some minor discoloration around the edges and on the top(see photos) The wood frame is slightly warped. But the wood and decorations are all in very good antique condition. It was originally mounted in a larger frame and there are a few screw holes in the edges.
