This is an ORIGINAL vintage press photo dated December 29. 1956 The caption on the back explains: MILAN. ITALY- Ava Gardner, glamorous screen siren who is still the wife of actor-singer Frank Sinatra, is shown here romping in the surf at Milan with Walter Chiari, Italy's leading comedian, to whom she has been reported engaged. They were reported to have plighted their troth under a Christmas tree where they exchanged gifts. This was later denied, but the story persists that they will wed when Miss Gardner gets her divorce from Sinatra. It measures approximately 7 x 8 3/4 and is in very good condition except for some slight corner wear. As can be seen. There are two smaller photos that are printed on one sheet. And yes, it is a been grainy; obviously, the paparazzi of the 1950s lacked sophisticated cameras!
