End of the Trail" is the master work of American artist James Earle Fraser. Completed in 1915. It depicts the exhausted Indian warrior wearily making his way back to his village, slumped over his starving pony, both buffeted by the freezing wind of the high plains. The battle has been long and hard but the brave warrior has now come to the end of the trail. This vintage bronze was cast in 1978. It is museum quality, highly detailed, and faithful to Fraser's original. The bronze is 24 inches high(excluding the lance) and 18 inches long. The statue stands on a black marble base large enough to balance the heavy bronze. The piece weighs nearly 56 pounds! Fraser's name is engraved in the base along with the date of the casting.
