This is adapted from the 1928 novel by Felix Salteen, published by Simon and Schuster. The book measures approx. 11" x 9" which would be the size of the artwork as well. The artwork is beautifully done in full color and pages of book also offer great illustrations throughout in both color and black& white. The cover of the book does show some wear on front and back. This is a very large world map. It was manufactured by Rand McNally and is labeled a"Cosmopolitan World" map. According to the fine print on the map. It is a"Mercator's map, upon which true bearings of courses can be measured directly. The map measures 54" x 34" and is very suitable for framing! I can't find a date listed. But I believe the map to be older. Condition is very good. The map has been folded, presumably to fit into a magazine or periodical. It has a small seam tear and a small hole on left border. There is slight staining upper left portion of map and additional staining on backside of map. All in all, a very nice map! ALL MY ITEMS ARE FROM A SMOKE AND PET-FREE ENVIRONMENT. Vintage/Antique P.S.&W. Co. No 1 EX 1 3/4 Wood Framing Chisel
This is a great example of a tool from the past. This P.S.W. Co. No 1 EX is a well used framing chisel. It measures 1 3/4 in by 24 in overall. It was longer at one time. But the wooden handle shows mushrooming from the many blows from a hammer. There is some damage to the handle from repeated blows. A chip is missing from the front. It is about 1 in wide at the top, 5 1/4 in long, and tapers to 1/4 in. It is about 1/8 in deep. There are two other chips/splits forming from the top down, smaller than the larger one mentioned. The chisel body does have some surface rust. A previous owner inscribed his initials on the front with a center punch(H J T) picture 3. I only ship within the continental US.
