I didn't go to great lengths to clean these two. But they are empty and non-greasy. I also almost didn't list them as I find the size and capacity very convenient, much better than the giants I have in my shop. The Golden Rod, mfd. by Dutton-Lainson Co. measures 4 1/2" tall with a 4 1/4 inch spout. The can is aluminum. The Eaglet is 4" tall and has a 4 1/2" spout. It's not aluminum. When taking them apart I also lubricated the handle assemblies which were sticky and made sure that both worked. Gaskets are good, too. The Golden Rod has one sharp dent near the top and a number of smaller ones all over. The Eaglet is missing some of its graphics, but there are no dents anywhere. For this item. One a 9 inch plate that has either two apples or maybe two cherries of different color and one 10 inch plate in a floral pattern. The nine inch plate is on Skyline blank and the 10 inch plate is on Astor. Both pieces are in very good used condition. There are no chips. Cracks, or crazing. For auction is this nice little reproduction DEDHAM POTTERY"Lettuce" Bowl. Most likely by The Potting Shed in Concord, MA. It stands approximately 2 1/2" high and measures approximately 4 5/8" across the top. The bowl is in the traditional creamy gray pottery with cobalt blue crackle finish with hand painted details. Its shape is somewhat textured to resemble overlapping leaves of lettuce and veins on these leaves have been hand painted. The base is unmarked but the bowl is believed to be vintage. Probably from the 1980-1990s. The condition of the bowl is qui te good: no chips or cracks. Just light age crazing commonly found on pottery of this type and two glaze skips on the inside top edge(from the manufacturing p rocess) This charming hand detailed bowl is not commonly found and would make a nice addition to a collection ... moreor a gift for someone special.
