This is an old antique medium purple lightning rod ball. It measures 4 1/2" across and the rod hole is 1" It is in great condition with no cracks or breaks. The collar rings do have normal age chipping as shown.There are some bubbles in the glass th at is common with old glass. There is a little residue inside from being out on the roof for years. CONCH SHELL - LARGE 10-1/2 INCH SHELL FROM BAHAMAS!
From what I was told. This shell was picked up from a beach in the Bahamas several years back. It's a nice large one- not quite 11 inches but it does have a hole in the crown(see last picture) and some surface wear. It is clean and smoke-free. All items I sell come from the secondary market(estate auctions. Flea markets, yard sales) Occasionally I'll find something in new condition, but most antique or collectable items will have normal expected wear for their age. My home is smoke-free and I try not to get smokey items by using the"sniff test" I wash, steam clean and clean with alcohol or a disinfecting wipe depending on which method suits the item best, because I don't want to catch the flu any more than you do. We have a couple of small dogs in case you're highly allergic. This nice heavy blowtorch is made of brass& steel and in very good condition- no dents. It does have some paint wear and drip marks. I don't know if the blowtorch works. But all the parts on top still move fluidly. The pump is easily pulled up and the brass cap can be easily turned and taken off. The handle also works fine. The small screw-in cap is missing from the top of the burner, but the piece that goes inside is still there, but kept inside the tank. This would be a nice addition to a vintage tool collection. ANTIQUE RIBBED GLASS BANANA BOWL SCALLOP RIM 1/2 Inch Thick, in a Metal Basket
This early American pressed glass bowl in a leaf decorated metal basket is in very good condition. The bowl is ribbed. And the top edge is scalloped. The metal basket has a silver patina and does not show any sign or tarnish or rust, although there are very small dents at the top of both side loops of the basket. Because of the uniformity of the"dents" I think they are original design elements. The glass bowl is 9 3/4 inches long, 4 1/2 inches high at the ends, and is 5 1/2 inches wide. The metal basket is 10 inches long by 4 1/2 inches tall by 7 1/2 inches wide. This banana bowl belonged to my late mother-in-law who would have been 101 years of age, so it is quite old. This Auction is for as Spectacular and Very Hard To Find Piece of Hull Art Pottery from the Bow-Knot line that was produced by the Hull Pottery Co. of Crooksville. Ohio. It is cataloged in raised letters on the bottom being Hull's catalog and line number B-15-13-1/2. This line was produced circa 1949 and this piece is possibly the largest piece produced in Bow-knot. It is very hard to find today. Best of All is the Condition of this Ewer. It is in Beautiful Near Mint Condition with NO Chips and NO Cracks and NO Glaze Discoloration. There is No Discoloration of the glazes. Being true and beautiful original colors. These bowls have t he glaze pattern called Brown Drip(a lso known as Futur a Stoneware when first marketed) T his pattern has a dark brown glaze mixed with white dripping down from the rim. This is very similar to the Brown Drip pattern produced by Hull China. These are marked on the bottom with" USA" T hese bowls are approximately 6-1/2 inches i n diameter across the top rim and 1- 3/8 inches tall. The capacity is in excess of 8 fluid ounces. These pieces are in very good to excellent used condition. The glaze is bright and shiny. There is light to very light use and utensil marks.
