His nose and mouth are stitched. He has a wire frame inside the limbs. Comes with a cute old old dress with pink details. His nose is running a little black so I wonder if he got a bath a some time in life. For reference see similar bear on page 131 of the Teddy Bear Enclyclopedia. An antique or vintage decorated leather dog collar, Staffordshire Bull Terrier
Normal 0 MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 An unusual and decorative antique or vintage leather dog collar with white metal fittings and decorated with three brass Staffordshire knots and two brass Staffordshire bull terrier heads. This has a ring for a lead to be attached and white metal studs. It is difficult to be sure of the exact age. But I would say early twentieth century to 1940's on this one, judging by the wear and appearance. Condition is pretty good overall. With the leather remaining quite supple, however, it looks as though there is one missing metal stud towards the buckle end. The collar can be fastened with two holes remaining on the strap, but it has been cut down, with a missing section from the end of the strap which would have fitted through the buckle, possibly it broke, or was just altered to suit a smaller dog. Some of ... morethe leather lining has come unstitched and the white metal fittings have wear/light rust to their original surface. The collar measures about 18.9 inches(47.5 cm) from end to end when laid flat. All in all. This is a good opportunity to acquire a very unusual antique or vintage collar to add to your collection, at a reasonable price. Here is a very cool antique leather bag or satchel with a shoulder strap. This bag is thread stitched all the way around. The measurements of this bag are approx. not including the strap) 9 1/4" wide by 9 1/2" high by approx. 3" When the strap is up it makes the bag an additional 23" in length. The metal rings and buckle are rusty but still function well. The bag is very stiff and should be treated with saddle soap or a leather product of your choice to make it softer. The piece of strap that closes into the buckle appears that it may have been longer at one time.but it looks fine the way it is. This is a vintage Doctor's Bag. Leather. Not sure of year/vintage. Guessing 1920's-1930's. It is in good condition. Some wear on bottom. And where it folds. Not bad. It has a"pop- up" type opening, so when you open it, it pops up into a fully open position and stays there. Kind of a neat feature. Measures 18" long, 9 1/4" wide, and 13 1/2" high when opened. A characterful and nice quality 1910's to 1920's era gentleman's leather collar box of quite small size and lined in a tan textured finish. This could also be used as a jewellery box or to store other small items. It still has its leather fastening strap. And the interior is very clean. The strap has some wear to the surface, but is sound and strong. There is a written name: Lieut.J. Cordingley. R.N. on the inside of the lid and on the edge where the lid fits down over it- quite a nice touch, and obviously once owned by a naval man! This is a smaller sized collar box. Old Vintage Embossed Leather Document Stationery Letter Holder Lion Crest Italy We took a trip to some unfamiliar shops this weekend and came home with some fabulous items– lots of antiques and uniques for you! I’ll be listing all week. So be sure to check back! Here is a lovely older vintage embossed leather document/stationery/letter holder that is marked on the inside as being made in Italy. It's in excellent solid and sturdy condition structurally. With wear typical of age that can be seen- there's scratches, scrapes, crackling, corner and edge wear to the leather, light spots of wear to the color and general wear to the leather on the outisde and inside- see photo 2 and the scratching/cracking with lightened color on the center left by the fold. There's wear to the color finishes on the front, and a handful of small holes ... moreto the satiny material that lines the inside. I believe that the color looks lighter in my photos than it does in person- that's due to the light reflection off of the snow that we have had- the color is really dark blue- almost black in some lights, but it's clearly dark blue- not a royal blue. On the front is the relief image of a lion inside of a crest and surounced by colorful swirls and what look like leaves- they are in rusty red, gold, moss green and medium blue. The backside also has relief designs- but no coloration, and the image in the crest is not a lion- is it a griffon, a gargoyl, or? When closed, the folder measures 9" by 6 5/8" Folder in design is the best way for me to describe it. It has sewn edges on three sides-the"thread" being leather that matches the same color. When open, it measures 13 1/4" and it has a leather vertical pocket on either side that is 2 1/4" deep. It weighs 1/4 lbs. Photos 16& 17 show the two wear spots/holes to the material inside- they are small and on the edge by the sewn border. The rest of the material is in nice shape. This is an old piece- with lots of primitive charm. It may be too primitiv
