They both have embedded, brass shanks on the back -- one of them is a two-way shank. Please refer to the ruler pictured in the image for the exact button sizes. Overall condition: Solid VG+..... The button with the woven pattern has a chip on the back edge which is quite noticeable in the second picture, but it is not noticeable when the button is viewed from the front. Otherwise, the buttons may have slight surface wear / tiny dings along the outer edges -- but there are no cracks, visible larger chips, or other more serious flaws.
