This particular one is made from steel and has been cut and decorated with an open work design in the form of breathtaking Arabic calligraphy. The ewer and basin are made from brass but have been inlaid with silver in the form of very fine arabesque floral motifs and some of the finest calligraphy of Arabic script I have seen on an item like this.
