For auction is this beautiful and very RARE antique Persian set of solid silver tea glass cup holders. The reason why it is very rare is that each of the cup holders has a crown cut and chased at the top. Above the ancient Persian Ahura Mazda figure. I have never come across Persian silver of this design with the crown. And this makes it a very important and rare set. Each of the cup holders have been cut with an open work design and then chased with the same designs. There are people and birds and monuments from Perspolis in the ancient Persian empire. It is definitely guaranteed to be solid silver of high purity. There are no hallmarks. However this is a piece which dates from early 1900's or maybe very late 1800's and hallmarks were never seen on old pieces like this.
