Measuring 8" high and weighing 1.2kg. It is in reasonable condition– one spout has a crack all round, and the glaze has multiple defects with losses, staining(the vase should be white) crazing, and pits and holes in the glaze where bubbles have burst; there is also chipping to the spouts. The Ottoman Empire) It bears a finely glazed and vibrantly coloured Qajar painted floral design to the body. Vase spout is situated halfway down the back of the animal. Made around 1900-1930. It measures 8/5” long by 7.25” in height, and has crazing and slight discolouration to the glaze but no chips, cracks or other damage; it is a high quality example of antique Islamic ceramics.

EXTREMELY RARE ANTIQUE 19th C PERSIAN QAJAR ISLAMIC POTTERY VASES CHINESE MARKET
For auction is this beautiful pair of antique Persian pottery vases. The vases would have been made especially for the Chinese market and they have been painted and finished in the Cantonese Famille Rose design. I think the vase are possibly 19th Century or perhaps early 20th century. There are beautiful swirling lions on each vase finished in a 3-Dimensional manner which really brings the vases to life. There are further hand painted lions typical of the Qajar era. So even though the vases were made for the Chinese market, there is still the Persian Qajar influence hinted in subtle ways. Size The height of the first vase is 29.3cm = 11.5 inches. The height of the second vase is 28cm = 11 inches. One of the vases is in very good condition. Antique Persian Pottery Floral Vase Islamic Qajar C19th
A beautiful old pottery Persian or middle eastern bottle vase that I believe dates to the C19th. Circa 1880. Qajar period. It is decorated with panels of flowers in vases with vibrant coloured glazes. It has overall crazing and a some places with little glaze loss spots(see picture 5 for example i marked it in circle) There is a small scale on the top i took a picture of it on picture 3.4. The vase is dirty but I do not dare to clear it. Remarkable condition for this type of pottery and its years. Measures- high 20 cm; width about 12 cm.

Coronation of Ahmad Shah, Dated 1914 This unusual early twentieth century earthenware vase originates from Persia(modern day Iran) Square in shape. It bears a beautifully glazed and vibrantly coloured panel to the front showing the coronation of the last Qajar emperor, Ahmad Shah, and it is dated 1914(although Shah became emperor in 1909 at the age of 11, he was not crowned until reaching the age of majority in 1914) There are further panels to the other sides of the vase showing panels of flowers- a typical decorative motif seen in Persian pottery. It is also stamped to the base with the Persian/Iranian pottery mark. The main panel shows the new Emperor being crowned. With a date ... moreand Arabic inscription above; unusually, the panel is shaped as a postage stamp(complete with postmark to the bottom left! and‘Persian Post’ is written in French at the bottom. The Persian Postal service did issue a set of commemorative stamps for the Coronation, so this may be something to do with that. Standing 10” 26cm) tall. The vase is in very good condition with just a chip to the back left corner and a 0.5cm glaze loss on the bottom front corner; there is also crazing to the glaze(as is common on pottery of this origin) and there is some slight discolouration of the craze lines and to a glaze flaw on the back of the left hand panel. This beautiful late eighteenth century vase originates from Persia. It bears a very vibrantly coloured under- and over-glaze geometric pattern with a floral motif. And it measures 3.5” 8cm) high. There is a two-crossed-swords pseudo Meissen mark on the base, as is sometimes found on pottery of this date. It is in excellent condition with no chips or repair. Just crazing and wear to the glaze, and a 1cm hairline on the top and inside of the neck. A beautiful Large Heavy Qajar Persian Pottery Vase. Measures 11 inches tall. This was handed down to me. My mother purchased it back in the 70's from a couple who had moved from Iran. It has a raised profile of a flying duck with characteristic handpainted flora. The condition of the piece is fair/good. There is a significant rim chip to the rim above the bird's wings, also there are areas of crazing to the glaze- nonetheless, as you can see this remains a stunning piece. OLD Muslim Islamic Pottery Persian Turkish Tile Plaque Panel Frieze Qajar Iznik
This listing is for an old antique 16.4" square plaque composed of four 8.2" approx. terracotta tiles which form a circular medallion when assembled. The reverse of each tile shows orange terra cotta clay with an Arabic mark or signature. There is residue from the previous installment on the back of the tiles. The glaze is crazed. And shows some wear. there are a few nicks here and there, and one corner chip has been glued back on. Overall the ceramic is intact with most losses on the reverse from removal. Some grout remains on a few edges. The man that I purchased the tiles from said that he had pulled them from a house- and the owners of the house had brought the plaque with them to the United States from a Mosque"somewhere" If I knew where the Mosque was. Persian Qajar Period Antique Pottery Inkwell Madrasa Beasts Bird Stag Bull Hare
Offering this very appealing and interesting hand painted Persian Qajar period pottery piece probably dating mid- to late-19th century. There is a central well area with seven holes in columnar shapes surrounding it; an inkwell with the holes for holding the quills/pens. There is a bright blue glaze on the top. And the seven columnar pen lobes are separated with decorated green indents. The immediately noticeable and highly interesting parts of this piece lie in the decorations of these pen areas. There are two examples of Persian architecture, Madrasa or palaces, and the rest are all animals and birds of significance: stag, bird, bull, hare and dog shown in outdoor settings, in motion, and in intricate detail. The base of the piece is glazed as well; the feet found under the pen columns have either worn glaze or more likely, only partially ... moreglazed to begin with. Condition: Please examine the photographs carefully as I consider them to be an important part of the description. There are a few areas where the thick glaze has chipped off the piece primarily at the edges of the petal-like parts of the pen holding areas. These are most noticeable above"bird" and"hare" and have been shown in the photos. There are areas of age-related crazing noted. The rim of the inkwell has glaze chipping from use. Visible artist application of the blue top glaze(ie. It has areas of differing color strokes) While I'm mentioning these as flaws for descriptive purposes, to me they also add age character and authentication. Rare Iranian Persian Glazed Pottery Dog Qajar Period
Rare Antique Iran Iranian Persian Dog from the Qajar Period. It has been difficult to date due to being unable to find another similar piece. The design has been found on a few vases from the late 1800's. The piece measures 7 1/2 inckes long. 4 inches wide and 6 1/2 inches tall. There is a small 1 3/4 by 1 1/4 inch opening on its back. There are of course cracks in the glaze due to its age. I have researched this item and can find no other like it. If you happen to be an art expert on the Qajar period I would welcome any information. This was purchased at an auction of an elderly lady from Iran who passed away. There is some crazing in the clear glaze. There are some areas with glaze skips/rubs, one on the edge(sort of half way up) and some uneven glaze edge on bottom. This bottle is crudely manufactured, so it's appearance reflects that. For it's age it looks great. The rim and spout are in great shape. The top edge is great. This bottle looks really old! Beautiful antique Qajar dynasty art pottery vase from Persia(Iran) with floral design in excellent condition. Good quality oatmeal-colored earthenware. Hand thrown on a wheel, with a traditional white tin glaze, over-painted in green and manganese purple on a thick black outline of the design. An old hand written note kept inside the vase mentions Ecbatana and Hamadan. Those who recognize this pottery will know whether this is pertinent information or not, I don't.
