Very Fine Stunning and fine quality Antique c1900's Islamic Bowl in the Mamluk Style Brass Inlaid with Silver inlay. with wonderful Arabic Calligraphy.And also inlaid with copper This is a fine antique piece for Collectors Of Cairoware.Mamluk Revival,Persian& Islamic Art in General. inside the bowl it has a mark/ signature as pictured. Its highly polished- almost looks like gold inside the bowl- the quality is stunning- the silver inlay has been engraved in places. A good sign of quality the bowl is heavy and measures 4.3inches in diameter and 2.2inches high.

Large Mamluk Revival Cairoware Incense Burner
We are pleased to offer for your consideration this remarkable example of Egyptian Cairoware ca 1900. It is a very large inlaid( ceremonial? brass incense burner. While Cairoware trays. Boxes and bowls are fairly common, incense burners are much more uncommon and I personally have never seen one anywhere near this large. The burner is made up of three pieces- a globe. A matching burning tray and a stand. The globe part of the burner measures approximately 10.5 inches in diameter, and the overall height when on the stand is 17 inches( it has a hole in the top for a finial, but it is missing) The whole thing(globe, tray and stand) weighs in at 7 lb. 3 oz. It is made of solid profusely pierced and engraved brass. With silver and copper inlays. There are 10 cartouches containing Islamist script inlaid in silver and several oher symbolic cartouches.The ... morestand has been soldered in a few locations, and one of the legs on the stand has been replaced. Overall. I would consider it to be near museum quality and in excellent condition, with no major dents or damage. The silver and copper inlay is all intact. Stunning Inlaid Islamic Bowl This bowl is one of the most ornate bowls of this style that I have ever seen. It is rare in that it is inlaid with 3 metals- copper. Silver and brass. The brass bowl has been hand-spun and hand-decorated. The decoration is beautiful and the work that has gone into it is incredible. It dates from the late 19th Century. Measurements: Diameter: 5" 12cm. Height: 1 3/4" 4.5cm. Weight: 186g. Overall it is in very good condition. There are a very tiny dinks on the inside of the bowl and one slightly bigger dent that has pushed through from the outside(see photos) There is a small strip about half an inch of silver inlay around the top of the bowl that is missing. Apart from this there is no real damage. I have polished it but it could be polished further. This is a really beautiful antique plate or small tray. It is made from planished copper and has been inlaid with beautiful scrolling Islamic decorations and arabesques. The central panel has an Eastern inscription. Contained within a cartouche- with a decorative trefoil above and another below. All the inlay is very fine and slightly raised from the surface- it is an old plate- dating from the end of the 19th century or early 20th century- and the silver has oxidised with age and turned black with exposure ... moreto the air. With a little polish I am sure that this would come up as shining silver. All the inlay is present with no losses- and it must have taken ages to form such a busy and intricate pattern. Certainly a very beautiful example- and a nice size too with a diameter of some 10 inches. A nice heavy piece too and weights 600 grams unpacked- I have taken lots of image and close ups which you can supersize for even closer inspection. And images of the back to the plate too. Any white marks on the plate are simply reflections from when I took my photographs. Of course happy to post internationally- please ask for a postage quote. No reserves. A classical dome form surmounted by elaborated finial, the central wide band adorned with four large copper, inlaid and pierced medallions containing a calligraphic Arabic inscription, profusely inlaid in thick silver and interrupted by four elaborated cartouches decorated with openwork interlacing scrolling design. The lower and upper band decorated with openwork, and silver and copper inlaid arabesque motives.
