The ... morehorn having some splitting on one side and crackling(like you see on an old oil painting) on the other side. The horn is stable and holds the piece solidly. Large silver pommel cap to the top of the handle. It is silver, with a hallmark to each side of the pommel. There is a brownish staining on the pommel and also on some of the scabbard. Probably old nicotine stains or something to that effect and should clean off with some TLC. The scabbard is also silver, nicely decorated with floral designs throughout, with each side of the scabbard having two hallmarks for a total of 4 on the scabbard. The knife measures 16 1/2" in total length when measured in the scabbard. The pommel cap is 3" wide. Good blade. All in all, a very nice Moroccan dagger. Please e-mail with any questions. Antique Arabian Islamic Syrian ancient dagger with coin
This knife was purchased in the deserts of Syria. In a small Bedouin camp. The man, who sold it, said that it was owned by his grandfather's grandfather. Consequently, the age of the dagger may be about 150- 200 years. However, the analysis of wood scabbard and overall wear of the metal, says that this exhibit has really more than a century. Bedouin said that by this knife 6 people were killed and destroyed one demon, for which his great-grandfather raced through the desert for 10 years, until the local witch had knocked on the blade special characters(figuers) you can see them on a knife) which helped him to destroy the demon. Of course, a lot of stories told by a Bedouin in fact are only scary fables, but in every fable there is always a grain of truth. Knife is handmade with using of precious metals. Condition- good.

Up for auction is a very nice antique Indo Persian knife with brass/bronze sheath. The overall length of this knife and sheath is approximately 16 inches. The blade itself is 9 inches and the handle is approximately five and a half inches long and one inch thick. Although I make no claims of authenticity. This knife appears to be an antique. The handle is made of what appears to be bone with some checkering for grip. The brass portions are also ornately carved(see photos) and hardware appears appropriate. This is an early antique steel bladed dagger with Islamic script. The script is at the top of the blade on both sides. Ive no idea how old this is because this really isn't my subject! I'm sure collectors of islamic weapons will know but it does look early. The sheath could be crocodile skin or leather. Sheath measures 33 1/2 cm long. Widest part is 4 1/2 cm. OLD ANTIQUE ARABIC MIDDLE EASTERN ISLAMIC JAMBIYA DAGGER WOODEN BLADE
Being offered is an interesting old object. The handle looks like an Arabic jambiya dagger handle. It is either made of steel with very fine pierced and beaded work or it is a heavy gauge silver or silver alloy but is very well done in either case. You have a flared pommel with a pommel cap supported by four balls. Very fine pierced and bead work throughout. The shape is reminiscent of Arabic jambiya daggers found throughout the Middle East. The blade is wood. Nice dark wood with a very nice grain. It is thick at the handle and then has been tapered nicely to a thinner point. It measures 10" in total length and the blade is 2" wide at the handle. Probably used as a page turner. Possibly for reading from the Holy Quran. ANTIQUE ARAB ISLAMIC JAMBIYA DAGGER.ARABIAN KNIFE SILVER HILT SHEATH W/ JEWELS
This is a fantastic looking antique Middle Eastern dagger. It appears to be 19th century or earlier. The blade appears to be Damascus steel- see photos. The hilt and sheath test as 900 silver. The stones on the hilt appear to be carnelian. While in sheath the dagger measures 11 1/2" in overall length x 1 3/4" wide at the widest point. The blade measures just under 6 1/2" long and 1 1/4" wide at widest point. The dagger hilt measures 4 5/16" in overall length and 2" at widest point. The hilt also measures 5/8" thick not including the stones. I assume the three stones in the sheath are glass. The faceted stones in sheath do cut glass. I have not cleaned the blade etc. as I did not want to possibly do more harm than tood. There is a dent on one corner of the hilt- see photos. Middle Eastern Afghan Islamic Khyber Sword Knife Dagger w/ Sheath Indo Persia Up for auction. This Afghan Khyber dagger. This is an original, but I am unsure of the maker of the dagger. There are plenty of markings on the blade on both sides.as well as on the spine of the blade. The sheath shows some markings and designs too. As you can see in the pictures the sheath shows some wear issues. The one side of the leather has been peeled off, exposing the wood sheath. The length of the blade is 22" and the entire knife measures 28" It is a very rudimentary with a piece of animal hide wrapped around the handle. The sheath is made of leather and wood. The knife was acquired in Afghanistan but I am not sure that is the origin. I will offer a 30 day refund to ensure that the buyer is satisfied with their purchase.
