For your consideration from a smoke free estate. A truly wonderful piece of vintage optical equipment. I am going to do my best to describe this antique ... morebrass microscope. But as I am not an expert by any means in this area please forgive any incorrect terminolgy. Any questions or information is all welcomed and appreciated. This microscope is made of brass and black metal. All we have done is to dust this piece. So the brass. Although warm appears scratched. It looks really retro as it is. But I would think if you wanted to use it you would need to shine it up. I leave the cleaning of these valuable older treasures to the experts. The base is black and measures 5 1/2" longest) 3 3/4" widest) Base does have minimal surface rust(photo 7) and a screw that does turn. I think this screw may tighten the base into place. Back of base has a round metal plate that I think is brass. It reads: Bausch& Lomb Optical Rochester N.Y. New York City. The Bausch is a little hard to read. The mirror rotates and swings freely. The mirror measures 1 3/4" across. The metal around one side of the the mirror has some age rust(photo 7) One side of the mirror magnifies the other is just regular mirror. The mirror side that does not magnify has some silver loss around the edge(see photo 7) this does not seem to effect the visiblity. The mirror will be removed for shipping as to decrease the risk of breakage. The area that holds the slides is black, the two slide holders are intact with good movement and I think they are brass. The opening in slide stage is 1/2" The underside of the slide plate has a circular dial I believe brass piece. This circular dial has 4 holes, I think they are used to regulate the light that reaches the mirror. This dial moves freely and the largest opening measures 1/2" across. The microscope raises up and down without problems but may need to be lubricated. At the tallest it is 14" retracted 11" The piece closest to the slide stage is marked: Bausch& Lomb 16 mm 0.25 N.A. T

For Sale! Hi. Here we have a nice antique Ernst Leitz Wetzlar microscope and two Spencer accessories for it. These were my Dad's and I really don't ... moreneed them or use them. He used them to look at really small rock samples I believe for prospecting. What the two accessories for it do. I don't know or if they work properly or not. They appear to be in good shape and offhand, look like some kind of adapters so two people can look at the same thing at the same time, but I haven't tried them. They look to be in pretty good shape as the pictures show. I'm sure somebody out there knows what they are. They are in seperate boxes marked Spencer, Buffalo NY. The one that has 90 degree angled eyepeices has a 6x and a 10x eyepeice and the eyepiece on the long tube can rotate around. It's in the black box and that's nice. The brown box is a bit rougher and it has one that is at an angle and has two 6x eyepeices. The microscope has Ernst Leitz Wetzlar on it and is marked No. 291286. I don't know if that's a model number or a serial number. It has a 10x eyepiece and two magnifying lenses. Once is a number 3 and the other is a 6L. I don't know what the numbers mean. You can look through it and see light via the mirror so I believe it will work. The mirror can be moved around and there is an iris mechanism above the mirror that works via an arm. Both the knob sets turn smoothly. It's been used as it has some scratches and paint loss here and there and some light corrosion on various parts as you can see in the photos. But overall I don' think it's in too bad a shape. I know he rarely took it out and kept it put away almost all the time. I don't know how old it is. That's about all I can say about it. What you see is what you get! Please ask any questions before bidding and thanks for looking Get it here far cheaper than at other places. Don't blink or it will be gone! PAYMENT. SHIPPING and OTHER: I can do local pickup or ship it to you. Buyer responsible for all shippi

Antique Brass Microscope Marked Depose - Made in France?
Antique Brass Microscope Marked Depose- Made in France? This is an antique brass microscope. The only marking seen is on the small brass dial on the base. Marked"Depose. According to our research, this may indicate that it is French. It stands approximately 10 3/4" tall. The base has a ball joint which enables this microscope to be tilted to the side. The socket for the ball joint has a piece of metal missing out of the side, though it is still stable and functional. Telescope shows overall wear such as scuffs, scratches, and loss of metal finish as a result of age and normal use. Optics are not functional- it just looks black when you look through the eyepiece. Ernst Leitz Wetzlar microscope with Spencer accessories.
For Sale! Hi. Here we have a nice antique Ernst Leitz Wetzlar microscope and two Spencer accessories for it. These were my Dad's and I really don't need them or use them. The ... morebrown box is a bit rougher and it has one that is at an angle and has two 6x eyepeices.

ANTIQUE A. KRUSS No. 250 BRASS MONOCULAR MICROSCOPE for Parts or Restore
Antique brass monocular microscope for parts or restoration. I don't know much about it but will describe what I see. It is marked"No. 250 A. Krufs( or Kruss? I think) Hamburg" The long piece measures 9 1/4" It attached to the base by a brass'ring' This'ring' is broken from the base but it is a"clean" break and could probably be repaired in the right hands. The'lens' where you look into has some spots(probably needs cleaning from the inside) and the lens in the end of this piece is loose. It will not come out but you can make it sit one way or the other. see pictures) The base is 3" in diameter and is weighted. From the bottom of the base to the highest point is 5" The small wheel on the side moves the top of the platform up and down and the wheel at the back moves a piece with ... moredifferent size holes that is between the 2 platform pieces. They both work fine. The top part of the cylinder piece has some use wear and the bottom part has a small dent. Unusual microscope! Maybe you can restore it or use it for parts. Please check out the pictures for a better idea of condition and e-mail with any questions.
Antique 1897 Bausch & Lomb Microscope with a Spencer 4 mm. Lens Brass w/th Box
Sally's Cellar is very pleased to offer one of my favorite finds. a Bausch& Lomb brass microscope with a Spencer Lens(4 mm) stored in an excellent wooden box made for the microscope! Whew! Up for sale by auction-1897 Bausch and Lomb Microscope with a Spencer Lens(both microscope and the lens have ID# This piece is made of brass and black covered metal(not sure) handle and the horseshoe shaped bottom holder Gorgeous brass plate with beautiful oxidation and antique character-Missing a few items that can be easily replaced. Missing the 2 clips that hold the glass lenses. The number of the box is different than the microscope, just one lens on the microscope but there is room for a second one to be attached, also missing the mirror underneath the brass plate. Because Bausch% Lomb is still in business and there are parts for sale for most ... moreevery type of machine. I think you can find the pieces you wish to add. Our policy is to keep pieces we sell in the same condition in which we found them. The wooden box that houses this microscope is absolutely gorgeous. The color is beautiful. The design of the dovetail corners is just excellent craftsmanship. There is not a key for the door. I will keep looking through my sample keys this week: Why do you think there are numbers on the microscope or the box? You are right. due to inventory! We think this must have been used in a medical school due to the times. or perhaps a very wealthy school district? This piece of Science'past' Is in great shape! Just needs few things added if you wish it to have more parts. It also would be a fabulous conversation piece! How cool would it look in your half bathroom or near a wet bar or on a shelf in a book case or in an office. Owning a primitive(made before 1900) microscope that is brass with a gorgeous patina is cool. Cannot Stress Enough What a Fabulous Purchase This Piece of History Will Be For You: Send Me an Email if You Have Questions. As always. if you have any questions do contact.
