Antique E. Leitz Wetzlar Solid Brass Microscope with Wooden Box No 23756
Neat. Vintage solid brass E. Leitz Wetzlar microscope with wooden box case. Comes with two eye pieces. One marked 1. The other marked 3. Missing the objective lens. Microscope is marked E. Letiz Wetzlar No. 23756 on the top of the base. Box is also marked 23756. Box is solid. But the bottom is starting to pull away and the inside wooden supports are no longer attached to the case. Key is also missing. See photos for details. Box is also marked D. McFadyen. Microscope measures 10" tall. Box measures 11 1/2" x 6 1/2" x 4 1/4" This microscope came out of estate of a local physician with a long family history of medical doctors.

But it doesn't affect the integrity of the case itself. Awesome for any collection. In fact its been in my pharmacy for the past 10 years. It has three objectives. A working aperture under the bed. Firm but easy movement in all parts. The eyepiece is of course included. The solid dovetail wooden case is by the Swift corporation and comes with two keys. This microscope is in exceptional condition!

Antique Spencer Microscope in Original Wooden Box, 1928
This antique Spencer microscope(Buffalo. USA) photos 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6,7, 8) is offered for sale by the family of the original owner. The microscope was purchased from Williams, Brown, Earle(Philadelphia, PA[photo 9] in 1928 by my husband's father, a physician. It has been gently used and carefully stored over the years. The microscope is 11 inches tall and has 2 eye pieces and 3 lenses(stored in compartments for that purpose in the wooden carrying box[photos 2, 3, 4] The box is in good condition, except for the mssing handle at the top(photos 11, 12) There is a lock on the box, but the key is missing.

This auction is for a Antique Bausch& Lomb Binocular Research Microscope w/Wooden Case and Lenses. Scope is in decent condition with the sort of aging and wear one would expect from something like this. I have no idea how old it is although this model looks older than other similar microscopes I've seen on eBay and online. I don't think it's missing anything but I have no idea if it might be. It looks like there are 4 sets of lenses here at different magnifications and it looks like the mirror is intact. The box seems like it is in decent shape and it has a metal badge on top that has a lab stock number probably was used in a working research situation. Complete with original wooden case, made by Bausch& Lomb, Rochester, NY, U.S.A. The underside of the horseshoe base carries the inscription. Pat. Pend. Des. Pat. 92.394. A pillar connects the base with the rectangular stage. The stage is 9 cm long and 6 cm wide; it retains its original stage clips. A fork inserted into the pillar holds the concave mirror. A distinctive feature of this microscope is that the mirror may be attached to the arm to provide incident illumination for opaque specimens– a clever touch, rare in a children’s microscope(see pictures) Focus is controlled by rack and pinion. Attached to the inside of the case there is a slotted box capable of holding up to 8 slides; there is also a division where lens paper could be stored.
