This is an extraordinary antique brass microscope, serial number 22192, from the prestigious E. Leitz Wetzlar brand. The microscope comes with its original ... morewooden box, making it a rare and highly collectible item. The maker of this exquisite piece of scientific equipment needs no introduction as E. Leitz Wetzlar is known worldwide for producing high-quality microscopes. The microscope is in condition I purchased, and can not confirm its actual functuality as not my field of expertise. It was manufactured before 1900, and I believe 1893 is the manufacture date adding to its historical significance. It is a must-have item for any collector or enthusiast of scientific instruments and antiques.

Antique Brass Microscope Marked Depose - Made in France?
Antique Brass Microscope Marked Depose- Made in France? This is an antique brass microscope. The only marking seen is on the small brass dial on the base. Marked"Depose. According to our research, this may indicate that it is French. It stands approximately 10 3/4" tall. The base has a ball joint which enables this microscope to be tilted to the side. The socket for the ball joint has a piece of metal missing out of the side, though it is still stable and functional. Telescope shows overall wear such as scuffs, scratches, and loss of metal finish as a result of age and normal use. Optics are not functional- it just looks black when you look through the eyepiece. ANTIQUE A. KRUSS No. 250 BRASS MONOCULAR MICROSCOPE for Parts or Restore
Antique brass monocular microscope for parts or restoration. I don't know much about it but will describe what I see. It is marked"No. 250 A. Krufs( or Kruss? I think) Hamburg" The long piece measures 9 1/4" It attached to the base by a brass'ring' This'ring' is broken from the base but it is a"clean" break and could probably be repaired in the right hands. The'lens' where you look into has some spots(probably needs cleaning from the inside) and the lens in the end of this piece is loose. It will not come out but you can make it sit one way or the other. see pictures) The base is 3" in diameter and is weighted. From the bottom of the base to the highest point is 5" The small wheel on the side moves the top of the platform up and down and the wheel at the back moves a piece with ... moredifferent size holes that is between the 2 platform pieces. They both work fine. The top part of the cylinder piece has some use wear and the bottom part has a small dent. Unusual microscope! Maybe you can restore it or use it for parts. Please check out the pictures for a better idea of condition and e-mail with any questions.

Missing the 2 clips that hold the glass lenses. The number of the box is different than the microscope, just one lens on the microscope but there is room for a second one to be attached, also missing the mirror underneath the brass plate. Because Bausch% Lomb is still in business and there are parts for sale for most ... moreevery type of machine. I think you can find the pieces you wish to add. Our policy is to keep pieces we sell in the same condition in which we found them. The wooden box that houses this microscope is absolutely gorgeous. The color is beautiful. The design of the dovetail corners is just excellent craftsmanship. There is not a key for the door. I will keep looking through my sample keys this week: Why do you think there are numbers on the microscope or the box? You are right. due to inventory! We think this must have been used in a medical school due to the times. or perhaps a very wealthy school district? This piece of Science'past' Is in great shape! Just needs few things added if you wish it to have more parts. It also would be a fabulous conversation piece! How cool would it look in your half bathroom or near a wet bar or on a shelf in a book case or in an office. Schutz A. G. Cassel Brass Microscope Made In Germany
For auction is a rare antique German compound microscope by Schutz. This is a very interesting piece that appears to be made from brass and iron(steel) it is labeled Schutz A.G. Cassel 19595 D.R.G.M. i have read that the acronym stands for"Deutsches Reich Gebrauchsmuster" or"German Reich Registered Design" in English. This piece is pre WWII and most likely from the first quarter of the 20th century. It is very well designed and made to a high degree or quality like the Zeiss and leitz microscopes of the period. It stands around 11" tall and is quite heavy for its size. The overall condition is good for its age(1912) it dose need to be polished but iam not willing to do that winning bidder may want this in its original condition. Some pieces may be missing i do not know what originally came with this set but everything ... moremoves as it should.Thank you for looking and good luck bidding. Very Old Primitive Antique Light Microscope - Unsigned Brass and Copper
Up for sale is this unusual Antique Light Microscope. I can describe it. But do not know anything of the history. It is mostly brass, but the center section appears to be copper. It is unsigned, with just the number"11" and a star imprinted in the metal on the underside of the stage. The base also appears to be bronze, instead of cast iron. I've looked at quite a few antique microscopes online and cannot find one like this one. All the parts seem to move as they are intended. The eyepiece moves up and down and there the lens seem to be intact. The whole upper section tilts on the base. The mirror swivels and moves forward and backward. But the mirror is black in places where the silver came off, as happens with old mirrors. The stage clip is in one piece and slides up and down the arm. There is a wheel beneath the stage with ... morevarious sized holes to control the amount of light coming through. The eyepiece moves up and down along a track. And it moves by adjusting a wheel. Both the track and the part that holds the wheel to the track, appear to have been screwed in with tiny screws at one point. They those pieces were welded. The welds look about the same age as the rest of it. It also has a chip in the front of the stage. Please look closely at the photos provided and email with any questions. It is about +/ 10 inches high. I ship internationally on a limited basis(Canada. UK, Australia, etc) just email me for shipping costs.

This item for sale comes from my daughter-in-law's family estate. Many of these items are very dear to the family. They need to sell as much as they can. Due to a devastating illness that her mother has recently been stricken with. Back in 2011 Joanne was in serious pain. It seemed to get worse as time went by. after many trips to the doctor, tests and great expense they discovered that several bones in her neck and spine had been chipped and fragments of bone were causing the pain.later that year she underwent surgery to remove the fragments and repair as much damage as they could. After the two and a half hour surgery she didn't seem to heal and began falling and bumping into walls many times a day which caused further damage. She seemed to become much more frail as time went on. Although her cuts healed, her doctors could not find anything wrong, her frail nature continued and began to get worse. The family had to start paying the mountain of medicall bills from the tests and surgery, however Joanne was sent home from work many times a week due to her condition and soon had to leave to be on bed rest. Before the first bills could be taken care of the

JOHN W. SIDLE #194 ACME - Antique BINOCULAR Microscope – 1880’s – Brass & Copper
ANTIQUE BINOCULAR MICROSCOPE* Engraved Signature on the Brass Base: John W. Sidle. Lancaster. Pa. ACME Wm Stanley Jr#194 Objective Reads: E. Gundlach* Estimated Early 1880’s* Stands about 15 to 17 inches high. Depending on the position of the scope* Please read the description in full. Review all photos and ask all questions prior to bidding. Happy to provide addition photos if requested. This is an antique. Which I estimate as being from about 1880(130+ years old) so there is some wear commensurate with age. I have provided key conditional notes based on my review of the visuals and mechanics. According to this extract from the American Artifacts Website: Sidle began making microscopes. First in partnership with Poalk, in Philadelphia, and then as"John W. Sidle& Co, Lancaster PA" His several models of 1880 were called the"Acme" ... moreand some of his ads referred to the"Acme Optical Works" Lancaster, PA. In 1881, James W. Queen& Co. took over the marketing of Sidle's Acme microscopes, which they continued to sell into the 20th century. I am very pleased to offer this attractive antique binocular microscope. A fantastic presentation piece. This appears to be the Binocular(Double Tube/ Scope) version of the ACME No. 3 Microscope produced by Sidle in the early 1880’s(see last photo) As might be expected. This is not in perfect, 100 percent complete condition, but still a great, very attractive piece of scientific history. I have tried my best to thoroughly identify any issues/ notes based on a comparison of the monocular version found online and my visual review. I am passionate about antique microscopes and enjoy hanging onto them briefly as a hobby/ admirer. But I am not able to yet call myself an expert so, again, please review as well and do not hesitate to ask questions: 1. No box or other accessories included beyond shown in the photos. 2. Beautiful combination of what look to be brass(majority) and copper(accents– knobs. Joint, swinging mirror gauge, objective cuffi
Old Antique Vintage Leitz Wetzlar Brass Microscope Model # 272910
This is an old Leitz Wetzlar brass embellished microscope. No 272910 In fairly good condition overall. Missing one objective lens(it has the 44x and the 10x) Missing the mechanical stage slide holder. But still has the dovetail gear on the side Needs a cleaning- and has some chipping in the black paint over the iron armature- the usual wear. Ocular lens is 10x. Brass is good- scratches seem to only be in the lacquer covering the brass. Needs to be polished- brass is more yellow than is showing in the pictures. Overall it functions properly and there is no mechanical issues. Tube. Condenser and fine focus all seem to be working fine and smoothly. Look at pics- email questions. Ships only in the USA. Unless you really want to pay the extra shipping overseas- it is heavy and would cost a lot more to ship.

Please look at all my auctions. I pack to the best of my ability(see my feedback comments) I welcome any questions that you might have! A word about shipping: shipping involves a lot more than postage or UPS charges. We have labels. Boxes, packing materials and a"longer than most" trip to the Post Office or UPS. We are very rural and the post office and UPS will not pick up our packages. So we have 10 miles every shipping day and if a buyer pays, we ship IMMEDIATELY, even if their package is the ONLY one to be shipped. We do not over charge for shipping, but sometimes if you are a lot closer than we estimated your shipping expense may be less. Please ask if you think the shipping shown in the auction is too much based on your location, and we will give you an individualized quote. If you live close by you can even pick up! Any questions? Vintage Bausch & Lomb Antique Brass Microscope Circa 1899 Better Pictures!!
Vintage Bausch& Lomb Antique Brass Microscope Circa 1899 The pictures do not do justice to the way this instrument gleams! All the movements move freely with no binding or sticky spots. The Irises on the condenser move freely as well. The bottom iris looks like it is missing a couple of the leaves, there is what appears to be one of them that was in the drawer of the case. It is shown in one of the pictures. The Case is in good shape. But it is showing it's age, the cabinet does lock and includes a key. I have added a shipping charge to this due to the extra care that is needed to package this securely to ensure it will arrive safely also to cover the extra charges due to it's weight.

Vintage Antique Brass Leitz Microscope circa 1894 - Leica "cousin"
This offering is a rather simple brass microscope. From Ernst Leitz, Wetzlar(Germany) the same firm which made the classic Leica Cameras(although this was made long before any Leica Cameras were made) Leica is short for LEItz CAmera) It is rather handsome, simplistically functional, and in my opinion is very attractive on a shelf. Most of the original lacquer is still present. And adds to the attractiveness. It is engraved: E. Leitz Wetzlar- New-York No 30069. Which identifies it as mfg. about 1894, per Bracegirdle's book: Notes on Modern Microscope Manufacturers" The New York address was a sales agency- Leitz microscope manufacture was in Wetzlar. From the beginning(1849) still is. Interestingly, the present new microscopes are now called"Leica" though"Leica" was originally, and for many years, the name of the ... morevery fine and very popular camera made by Leitz, Wetzlar, in Wetzlar. The precision column top knob fine focus. And sliding tube coarse focus still function very well, and the eyepiece and objective do function also. I would not expect this to serve well enough to win you a Nobel Prize, however, while it is not really a very useful microscope, it does work- To demonstrate that, I just put a piece of multi-colored cloth on the stage, illuminated it from above with my pocket LED penlight, and took the picture shown(last above) of black thread crossing colored threads under rather high magnification- just holding my Nikon Coolpix up to the eyepiece, as steadily as I can. I think of this as more something quite attractive. Historic, and interesting to look at, rather than to really use- it is as shown- no case, no extra parts, no sub stage, just a very basic stand- I have kept it on a shelf for years, where it looks quite attractive, and evokes interest. Height measures from 10 to 13 inches, depending on the tube expansion, base is about 3" by 3 1/2" and stage is about 2" by 3" Wt. is est. at 2 lbs. All metal(mostly brass) and a little glass) No Plastic! You get

Antique Brass and Metal Spencer Microscope with E L Wetzlar Attachment No 24832
Antique Brass and Metal Spencer Microscope with Ernst Leitz Wetzlar Attachment and Spencer Illuminator Serial No 24832 All items in our store include NO sales tax to our US customers! Here is a great older brass microscope for your buying consideration. Recently picked it up at an auction. There were 10 microscopes recently at a high end auction that appeared to be from someone's collection or a high end store that dealt in them. I acquired 6 of them. Here is another one of them. The other microscopes will be made available for sale separately at my eBay store over the next few days as well. The microscope scope and the lens and objective case and dials are made of brass. There is some corrosion to the brass and painted surfaces in places. The black painted part of the microscope stand is some sort of other metal. There is a 6x and 10x ... moreeye lens with the scope. Also a 3x with the scope that is not the right diameter. There are no date. The serial number of 24832 on the microscope would make it as having been produced around 1914 to 1915. There is also a Spencer illuminator with the microscope that has a great vintage power cord on it. The illuminator lights up when plugged in. There is a clear and blue lens inside. The reflector is still behind the bulb. The microscope also has some sort of brass Ernst Leitz Wetzlar attachment on it for moving the specimen around both horizontally and vertically on the observation plate. This is a really nice attachment and in very nice condition. The mirror at the bottom of the scope is two sided. Not cracked or blistered, but the mirrored surface does show some wear. The glass for the lens and objective are dusty and may have some minor scratching. I see no blistered cracked or missing glass in the lenses or objectives. The microscope is 12.25" tall. By 6" across, by 6.75" wide. Nice what appears to be the original wood case, missing the original wood drawers. Case is intact, still has its' lock, no key. The objectives are a 1.8mm, a 4mm and a 6mm. Handle

Vintage Brass and Iron MICROSCOPE with two E. LEITZ Wetzlar LENSES
Vintage Brass and Iron Microscope. Both lenses are marked E. Leitz Wetzlar. The eyepiece can be raised and lowered easily and the 2 lower opticals rotate easily. The entire mechanism can pivot 90 degrees so the barrel is horizontal. The lower double mirror is in fine shape- no cracks. The finish on the metal has some nicks and scratches etc. as shown in the photos. Eyepiece lens marked"GRAF APSCO CHICAGO. USA 10X" Lower lenses are marked 5 and 7. All appears to be in good functional use to my untrained eye, but it would need a proper cleaning to remove the dust specks from the lenses. Even as a display piece it is simply stunning. Measures Approx: 14" tall at full height down to 11” Base is 4" x 5 1/2" Please Feel Free To Ask Questions Especially Before Bidding.

Antique English Brass Microscope Bar Limb Design with Varley Stage Original Case
Antique English Brass Microscope with Bar Limb Design with Varley Stage Original Case 1860s Here is a great older English brass microscope for your buying consideration. Recently picked it up at an auction. And remember. There is never any sales tax to our US customers as we live in Delaware, the home of tax free shopping! There were 10 microscopes recently at a high end auction that appeared to be from someone's collection or a high end store that dealt in them. I acquired 6 of them. Here is another one of them. The other microscopes will be made available for sale separately at my eBay store over the next few days as well. The microscope scope and much of the body with the exception of the base are made of brass. There is some corrosion to the brass and painted surfaces in places. The black painted part of the microscope stand is some ... moresort of other metal. There are the patent dates of October 1876 and October 1885 noted on a brass plate on the microscope. I do not see a serial number on the microscope. Nor do I see a makers mark on the scope eye lens or objective. The legs and the case of this one remind me of a Thomas Cooke microscope, but again no markings on the piece. So, you be the judge of the maker before acquiring. The scope came with a card that identified it as a English microscope circa 1860. And then that it is a bar limb design with a Varley stage. The mirror at the bottom of the scope is one sided. Not cracked or blistered, but the mirrored surface does show some wear. The glass for the lens and objective are dusty and may have some minor scratching. I see no blistered cracked or missing glass in the lens or objective. The microscope is 13.75" tall. By 4.25" across, by 5.25" wide. The microscope came with a great old case and appears original to the scope. There is a separate wood piece in the base of the case that the 3 legs fit into perfectly. The case wood appears to be mahogany. The case still has its' lock in it, but no key. The hinges still operate and securely attache

There is some corrosion to the brass and painted surfaces in places. The black painted part of the microscope stand is some sort of other metal. ... moreThere are the patent dates of October 1876 and October 1885 noted on a brass plate on the microscope. This microscope appears to be a bar limb design. I do not see a serial number on the microscope. But do see the number"37" impressed on the bottom of the stand. The objective has Bausch& Lomb impressed on it and"tube length 8.5" I can see Bausch& Lomb on the eye lens, but not a strength The mirror at the bottom of the scope is two sided. Antique Bausch & Lomb Brass Microscope 1893 Many Accessories and Lenses & Case
Antique Bausch& Lomb Brass Microscope Produced around 1893 with Many Accessories and Lenses Here is a great older brass microscope with accessories(lenses. Objectives and their cases) and a case for your buying consideration. Recently picked it up at an auction. And remember. There is never any sales tax to our US customers as we live in Delaware, the home of tax free shopping! Recently at a high end auction there were 10 microscopes from someone's collection or a high end store that dealt in them. I acquired 6 of them. Here is the first of them. The others will be made available at my eBay store over the next few days as well. The microscope stand. Scope and much of the other lenses and their cases appear to be made of brass. There is some corrosion to the brass surface in places. There was a tag that came with the microscope that ... morestated it was circa 1893. Has a graduated round stage, 4 eyepieces, with swinging substage and hemisphere diagram. The serial number on the microscope is 12068 which would seem to make it as having been produced sometime before 1893. The microscope has a bone or celluloid handle on it that allows the scope to be angled. One eBayer thinks this is a model CC microscope which stood for Circular, Centerable, referring to the stage. You be the judge as to the model of this microscope before acquiring. There are 4 eyepieces. Then three objectives(lenses) down at the bottom, a 1/12 in it's brass case and then 1/6 and 2/3 on the scope. The mirror at the bottom of the scope is two sided, not cracked or blistered, but the surface does show some wear. The glass for the lenses and objectives are dusty and may have some minor scratching. I see no blistered cracked or missing glass in the lenses or objectives. The microscope is 13.5" tall. Antique Brass Cast Iron Optical Device Williams Brown & Earle Philadelphia 1890s
This interesting antique brass and cast iron optical device is about 5 1/2" to 6" tall(or long) and it is attached to a 6" x 4 1/4" x 3/4" thick cast iron mounting base. It has metal clips to hold a slide and it can serve as a microscope when viewed vertically. The iron base has 2 channels through it that permit the scope to be mounted horizontally in front of a light source(magic lantern)and used as a lens to project the enlarged image onto a screen. The device is heavy(approx. 3 1/2 pounds)and well made and it is marked"Williams. Brown, and Earle- Philadelphia" on the side. There is some rust on the iron base and it has a patina of age but over all the piece is in good original condition and it still functions well the way it is supposed to. My best guess as to age is 1880s-1910s. Very unusual! Payment ... morePa. residents please add an additional 6% sales tax or provide a tax exempt number.
