Antique Bausch& Lomb Optical Co. Solid Brass Microscope SN#26739 ~ Pat. 8-1897 Up for auction(sale) is a Vintage Bausch& Lomb Optical Co. Brass ... moreMicroscope My clients husband found this microscope in the remains of an old building and cleaned it up very well. Most all the adjustable parts move. Though some are a little harder than others. It is missing 1 of the 3 magnifying lenses that can rotate to any one of the 3 positions. It may be missing other parts that I don't know about. The eye piece does not appear to be the proper one for this scope, but does fit in the chamber. The mirror at the base does have blemishes on both sides. It has many more options than some of the other scopes that I have found from this era. It has 2 patent dates that I can find, one from Feb 1897& one from Aug. 1897. The serial number is on the base#26739. It is 14 1/2" Tall x 6" Deep x 4 1/4" Wide I was unable to really see anything as I didn't have the knowledge or the material to test. I'm sure that it does need some restoration. Though it is a great looking decorative piece as it sits. This is the condition it has been in for many years and I did not attempt to polish or take apart to clean. If you would like more pictures please let me know I will ship this scope FREE in the Continental United States PayPal only please If you have any questions please ask I strive for 100% approval so if you have any issues please contact me before leaving feedback I will do returns in special situations Thanks for checking out my items. Depending on the position of the scope(a typical wine bottle is shown in the photos for reference) Please read the description in full. Review all photos and ask all questions prior to bidding. Happy to provide addition photos if requested. This is an antique. Likely around 140 years old, so there is some wear commensurate with age. I have provided key conditional notes based on my review of the visuals and mechanics. I am very pleased to offer this attractive antique binocular microscope by Charles Baker of London. A handsome. Stately presentation piece! This appears to be an early example of the bar-limb design first pioneered by Andrew Ross. As might be expected with a mechanical antique of this age. It is not in perfect, complete condition. Descriptions can sometimes be subjective. And details/ condition of mechanical antiques difficult to capture in photos. While I am passionate about antique microscopes and enjoy hanging onto them briefly as a hobby/ admirer. I am not able to yet call myself an expert so please review as well, and do not hesitate to ask questions/ request more photos. I have tried my best to thoroughly identify any issues/ notes based on a top-to-bottom visual review. 1. No box or other accessories included beyond shown in the photos(as is) 2. The adjustment knob controlling the vertical position of the scope works reasonably nicely between the highest and lowest position. Moves fairly smoothly and there appear to be no kinks in the treads(see photos) 3. The microsc

Happy to provide addition photos if requested. This is an antique. Likely around 140 years old, so there is some wear commensurate with age. I have provided key conditional ... morenotes based on my review of the visuals and mechanics. The microsc

Antique Brass Microscope (ca. 1875?) - Dual Power, Original Wood Case
Antique Brass Microscope Double Pillar Design Dual Power Magnification This microscope was likely made in France around the year 1875. This is based on information and photos posted on the internet. I am not an expert in this field and cannot guarantee the age or country of manufacture of this piece. Two powers of magnification are available. Unscrewing the outer objective lens provides lower power viewing. It is in very good working order. Although lenses might benefit from some cleaning. I have not detected any damage to the optics. It has a double sided mirror illuminator with the concave side being damaged(see photos) The flat mirror is excellent. The multiple aperture diaphragm under the stage is in very good condition. Other than some blemishes on the finish, I am not aware of any significant defects. Please examine photos. Height is ... moreapprox 10 inches. Beautiful brass construction. Base is cast iron with green/brass lacquered finish. 40" is stamped into the yoke holding the main tube(see photo) 11" is stamped in the corner of the bottom of the stage(see photo) Unique extension arm for magnifier. Case appears original. The top and bottom boards have some splits from drying out and there are some small paint splotches on the finish. Please refer to photos of the case. The piece inside the case that supports the neck of the microscope is loose. But is present. All latches and hinges are in good order. This piece is offered as you see it and as I have described to the best of my limited ability. Please examine the photos carefully. Contact me through eBay with any questions that you may have. I will be very happy to respond. Satisfaction is guaranteed

Swift& Son London Antique Microscope Lamp* A heavy. Antique lamp with glass oil container and wick used to illuminate microscopy. It appears to be brass, but may be brass on iron. Swift& Son London is marked on the base. Antique Brass French Microscope c. 1880 C. Verick #3434, for Display, Home Decor
This is a nice. Yet incomplete example of one of Constant Verick’s microscopes from the late 1800’s, serial number 3434. C. Verick advertised himself as a élève spécial de E. Hartnack(special pupil of E. Hartnack) both in the signatures he used for some of his instruments and in his catalogs. By the mid 1870's he established his own firm where a number of different microscope models were produced, among which is the continental style model presented herein. In 1882, he was succeeded by his son-in-law Maurice Stiassnie. The base of this microscope is inscribed with“ C. Verick. Élève spécial de E. Hartnack rue de la Parcheminerie. 2, Paris” It comes with a box of lenses, but unfortunately, this microscope lacks the sub-stage aperture stop holder and more importantly its mirror. Without which it can't function. ... moreBut. It would still make a nice accent piece as home décor, or perhaps for an enthusiast that wishes to repair it. Please feel free to contact me with any questions prior to bidding. Please check out my other listings. As I have a lot of other nifty items for sale.some unusual, some vintage, ALL of them interesting! Happy Bidding! xx

ANTIQUE REICHERT WIEN BRASS SCIENTIFIC MICROSCOPE #104355 - 1900s
Up for sale is a very nice antique Reichert Austria microscope. Carl Reichert married into the Leitz family in 1874 and began manufacturing microscopes in Vienna(Austria) two years later. This and the fact that he had some of the Leitz technicians working for him explains why his instruments are so similar in design to those of Leitz. The firm was known for high quality instruments well into the 20th century when it was eventually bought out by American Optical in 1962* Background history from NJhouseholdgoods Auctions) This antique Reichert Microscope is numbered 104355 and dates approx. 1900. It has a black lacquered iron horseshoe base and. The Tube is also black lacquered and has only a single occular lens numbered 1. It also has no makers identification. The second objective lens(plated brass) is a newer Reichert lens labeled- A=0.25; Ph 15:1 250 Reichert Wien. The condenser function normally with full range of iris closure. The miorror is in excellent condition on both sides. All the adjustments move freely and the microscope is in reasonably good shape for something that is over 100 years old. Sold As Is- no returns. Fast shipping- all questions answered. Early Antique Bausch & Lomb Universal Brass Microscope W/ Case and Accessories
This auction is for an amazing early Bausch& Lomb Universal brass microscope with original mahogany case. Additional lenses and accessories. This has the earlier one line patent on the side. There is an original B& L cardboard card for magnifying combinations that identify this as microscope number 3316. The scope is in great condition with no dents or scratches. The varnish is crazed in some areas. There are spots of tarnish as well. I will not clean the microscope. I will let the winning bidder decide on the finish. Everything moves easily with precision. It has four Carl Zeiss Jena eyepieces(1. 2, 3, and 6(Compens Ocular) and an adapter for them. The six needs to have the bottom lens reinserted. It looks like the retaining ring was bent. The lens has no issues. It also has five B& L eyepieces(two bases are labeled A and two ... moreare labeled C, and one labeled D but the lenses are etched A, 1, D, and unetched) There is a C base with no upper that is different from the other four. There are four objective lenses(3/4, 1/5, 1/6, and 4/10) with brass cases. There is a B& L rotating"shutter" piece(pic. 8) that when rotated closed metal shutter in the small hole. A brass adapter for an eyepiece? A dual stage adapter for the objectives. Also included is a rare example of a James L. Pease quick change adapter(patented feb. 13 1883) pic. 9) The B& L light condenser is in its original box with additional eyepiece marked 1. It is in excellent working condition. The hinge has separated from the box though. Inside the drawer is some additional equipment with a cool ivory container. Brushes, needles, objective rings some additional tools. It also has a great article from an 1870's or 1880's newspaper that describes a"sociable series" in which microscopes were the item of discussion and use. There is also a really nice advertisement for an early microscope light made by Ernst Leitz that is also contains lens paper. The mirror at the bottom of the scope is two sided. Not cracked. It d

Up for auction is this awesome Reichert Microscope from Austria. This is in working condition and great for its age. Comes with original box. Any question please feel free to ask. This is a awesome Antique Piece! Here is some more information about how Reichert microscopes came about! The Reichert company was founded by Carl Reichert in 1876 in Vienna. Carl Reichert was a son in law of Ernst Leitz. He learned microscopy business from Leitz in Wetzlar(Germany) and then moved to Vienna to establish his own company. His company was successful and by 1930 the 100000th microscope was produced. However in 1962. The family Reichert sold the business to the company American Optical(AO) American Optical, in turn, was taken over in 1968 by the worldwide pharmaceutical company Warner Lambert. Later. Within Warner Lambert, Reichert company was merged ... morewith Jung, another microscopy company established by Rudolf Jung in Heidelberg in 1872. In 1986 Warner Lambert sold all non-pharmaceutical companies to Cambridge Instruments(the optical company established in 1881 by the son of Charles Darwin, Horace) And finally, in 1990 Cambridge Instruments merged with the Wild Leitz to form Leica group. In 1999 Reichert stopped microscope production, concentrating to instruments for sample preparations for transmission electron microscopy. Thank you for viewing our product. Old Antique Solid BRASS Student MICROSCOPE
heavy brass microscope about 9" tall
Antique Leitz Wetzlar Brass Microscope with Parallel linkage No 5349
This microscope belonged to my father. What he did with it. I couldn't say. He wasn't a doctor, and actually, it was just stored away. I never saw him use it. It is in very nice condition. The brass table for slides has one place on the right side where the paint is off it in about a 1/8" area. The back of the base has some marks, something sticky that is on the paint. I didn't want to chance trying to clean them with a solvent. The lenses are all good. The fine adjustment mechanism works smoothly and has no play. The rotating disc under the table clicks in solidly to it's detents, and the mirror moves smoothly. It is certainly a nicely made instrument. I believe this style would have been considered a traveling microscope, if I am reading their history correctly. Another one like this on EBay listed it as 1908. I couldn't ... moresay for sure what year this one is. The number on the table is 5349.
Antique Brass Microscope w/ Lab. Acc.. E. Hartnack, Paris
This is one beautiful in excellent condition very old micriscope. All lenses are clean and clear. Including the mirror. No signs of damage, misuse or abuse. All functions work as brand new. This must be from the 18 hundreds. I know very little about antique microscopes as I am a machinist and can tell you this is a machinist's work of art. There is a removable compartment under the table that seems to facilitate some kind of reservoir for lab specimen viewing. It slides in and out on a dovetail. Hopefully the pictures can tell you more than I can. The barrel is engraved in script, E. Hartnack, Place Dauphine,21, Paris. I would love to keep it myself but it is on consignment and so it has to go to a real Scientist, Doctor or some medical instrument collector. Anyhow, thanks for looking and maybe even buying.
Beautiful brass antique microscope Bausch Lomb with case lenses

Thanks for looking.

Antique FIELD MICROSCOPE Flea Glass Botanical Entomologist BRASS Magnifier 1800
Antique FIELD MICROSCOPE Flea Glass Botanical Entomologist BRASS Magnifier 1800 Greetings. Tonight we have a RARE and ANTIQUE Circa 1800 Brass Folding Microscope/ Magnifier that would have been used by a Botanist or some one in the Entomology Field a couple Cenuries ago. The Single Lens Scope comes complete in it's ORIGINAL CASE, along with the pick/ spike that would hold the leaf or insect that was being studied. I can find no name on the scope to signify a maker; but the construction is excellent and the condition is the same- the Tea Stained handle is also great and free of any chips or cracks- It is also worth mentioning that it has a nice finial on the end of the handle. I have not tried to clean or polish the brass portion; keeping the wonderful patina it has attained over the years. The case is also in good solid condition; with ... morewear spots and a few chips to the outer portion as you would expect from a piece of scientific equipment that was used outdoors in the field. Don't miss out; these do not come along very often-especially when they are complete with the case and in this condition! Please look at all the pictures(SUPERSIZE) as they are an intricate part of this description; and email me with anything that you may need clarification on. I am by no means an expert; and I want to represent all items to the best of my abilities. If you have questions. Please cast them my way. ALL OF MY ITEMS ARE GUARANTEED TO BE OLD AND ORIGINAL UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED IN THE AUCTION. Thanks for looking at this auction and look for more great items to be coming in the very near future! I will always combine shipping whenever possible in order to save you money. GOOD LUCK!

ANTIQUE E. LEITZ(WEZLAR) MICROSCOPE#3 THIS IS FROM AN ESTATE. I'M NOT SURE IF IT IS A SCIENCE OR MEDICAL MICROSCOPE( THE LENSES APPEAR TO BE BAUSCH& LOMB. I BELIEVE IT IS FROM THE 1920'S ERA( POSSIBLY EARLIER(DUE TO THE FACT THAT I DON'T SEE A BEND IN THE STEEL WHERE IT TILTS ON THE BACK SHAFT WHERE THE LENSE GOES UP AND DOWN. THE MISCROSCOPES THAT I HAVE SEEN FROM 1929"DO" HAVE THE BEND IN THE STEEL. POSSIBLY THIS IS HOW THEY MAKE THE DISTINCTION BETWEEN MEDICAL SCOPE& ONE USED FOR SCIENCE LABS? THE MICROSCOPES THAT I HAVE RE-SEARCHED BY THIS MAN ARE VERY COLLECTIBLE& RARE! THERE ARE EXTRA LENSES; BUT NO BOX OR SLIDES. THERE IS SOME WEAR TO THE BRASS ON THE SHAFT OF THE MICROSCOPE. HOWEVER OVER-ALL, IT IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION. I WOULD ALSO LIKE FOR YOU TO TAKE"NOTE" OF HOW THE MICROSCOPE MEASURES: ... moreANY ONE OUT THERE WITH KNOWLEDGE& FAMILIARITY WITH E. LEITZ'S MICROSCOPES AND CAN ENLIGHTEN ME; I WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE HEARING FROM YOU. YOU MAY EMAIL ME THRU EBAY MESSAGES. THANK YOU FOR LOOKING AND PLEASE TAKE A MOMENT TO LOOK AT MY OTHER ITEMS.

Vtg Antique James W. Queen & Co Philadelphia Brass Microscope with Carrying Case
Antique James W. Queen& Co Philadelphia Brass Microscope with Carrying Wood Case Up for auction is an antique brass microscope manufactured by James W. Queen& Co of Philadelphia. It comes with the original carrying wood case. I am not familiar with microscopes to accurately describe it's completeness or operational condition. This appears to be missing some eye piece and maybe other parts. There is a stamp on the microscope that reads"Queen Phil" and a number"3" is stamped on the opposite side. The carrying case has a paper tag regarding James W. Queen Co. The box measures approximately 6" X 6 1/2" and 12" high. The box has some damage. A piece of wood missing, no latch or key and shows wear. The brass on the metal shows corrosion and I am not certain if this is all brass. Please see photos for ... morecondition and completeness. Note: We can provide additional photographs. International Buyers: We ship to limited number of countries. Please check with us regarding shipping costs before bidding.

I believe this is a late 19th Century microscope. The only number on it is"63" on the outside of both feet. It weights about 4lbs. 8 ozs. and is 10 1/2" tall when compressed. All parts seem to be working. The stand tilts, there are two sides to the mirror, the focus works and the bottom lens says"16mm" and"025 NA" Inscribed on the top of the wishbone shaped stand leg is"Bausch& Lomb Optical Co, Rochester N.Y. and New York City"
Spencer Lens Company Brass Antique Microscope, Buffalo NY, serial number 9538
Spencer Lens Company Brass Antique Microscope. Buffalo NY, serial number 9538. I am out of my area of expertise but I did a little research and found that Spencer Lens Company microscopes with serial numbers up to 10.000 had an approximate date of shipment of June of 1909. That would make this microscope 105 years old or older. The microscope has two objective lenses. One is marked 4mm NA066. The other is marked 16mm NAP.0.25. Both are marked Spencer Lens Co. The microscope seems to work and be in good condition for its age. When you look through the microscope you can see a couple small crooked lines. I don't know if these are cracks or dirt. The finish is worn. I do not understand why Brass has a brass finish. There are no case or other attachments. If you have any questions I will try to answer them. If you can tell me what to look ... morefor it may help me find the answer. 336.RcmdId ViewItemDescV4,RlogId p4%60bo7%60jtb9%3Fvo%7B%3Dd70f%2B%3E336-1449fa81c59-0x10f-

Vintage Old Antique Spencer Lens Co Microscope Buffalo, NY U.S.A. Brass and Cast
Up for auction. Is a great example of a Vintage Antique early 1900s microscope by Spencer of Buffalo, NY, U.S.A. that I recently picked up. It has a wonderful patina, aged look to it. The serial number on this microscope is 67927. According to my research. That serial number places the Manufacturing date sometime between June 23, 1920 and May 23, 1921. This microscope is even OLDER than one that just recently sold for about $400. Both of the brass knobs turn and the mirror is intact. With"no cracks" It could use a cleaning if you prefer the polished look, but I know some collectors prefer the aged natural look, so it has been left untouched. I am no expert in microscopes. So if you have any questions or would like to request any pictures of specific areas on the microscope that are important to you before buying this piece, please ... morefeel free to message me and ask whatever you like and I will do my best to answer any questions you have, but odds are you probably know more about it than I do. ANTIQUE VERY RARE BRASS AQUARIUM MICROSCOPE, 1860's
I bought this antique aquarium microscope about 18 months ago from Professor Yuval Goren of the Tel Aviv University who is a collector of antique microscopes. I bought this to go along with my antique aquarium collection but since I have sold nearly all of them I no longer need/want this microscope to go along with the collection. Prof. Goren is a well respected professor of archaeology in Israel and sells some of the antique microscopes from his collection from time to time. Here is your chance to own one of these rare aquarium microscopes. It was also available with a sucker joint which I've included an illustration. I will also include the original description by Prof. Goren of the microscope: Offered for auction is an extremely rare brass. Iron and wood aquarium microscope, made by Collins of London, dating to the second half of the ... more19 th century. The microscope is attached to an attractive stand made of cast iron with a wooden handle and an attractive Y-shaped base in the form of dog's legs. The microscope is connected by a compass joint to a brass pole that slides into a holder attached to the stand. However. This micoscope is known to be connected also to a sucker joint that can be connected to the glass of an aquarium, as seen in the engraving(not included in this listing) copied from the Journal of the Royal Microscopic Society of 1882. Though the microscope is unsigned, according to this reference it was made by C. Collins of 77 Great Titchfield Street, London(1860s) The company moved in 1875 to 157 Great Portland Street in London. The company was closed in ca. 1890. Aquarium microscopes were used to observe aquatic organisms in an aquarium. Magnifications can be changed by a draw tube. Untypically connected to the objective(rather than the eyepiece) side of the tube. The microscope is in very good optical and cosmetic condition for the age. The brass is only lightly stained. The optics are in excellent condition and the microscope provides surprisingly high quality images. In all, this is a ver

I will be listing a variety of nice estate-fresh Antique and Vintage Items this week. Here is a Nice ANTIQUE BAUSCH& LOMB OPTICAL CO. BRASS MICROSCOPE with WOODEN CASE. It is Serial#22928. Probably c.Late-1890's vintage. The microscope has a Patent Date of Feb. 16. 1897 on it. The microscope is in working condition. The 2 lower magnification lenses seem to magnify and focus objects fine, but I couldn't get the highest power lens to focus. Not sure why- maybe I just don't know how to properly operate machine. I know little about microscopes in general myself. Microscope looks to have it's original finish on surface. Bottom double-sided reflective mirror in good condition. The iris mechanism in the assembly above mirror opens and closes fine. The three objective lenses on microscope are Bausch& Lomb lenses. antique JOHN BROWNING London BRASS Prism SPECTROSCOPE Microscope ca. 1900
An antique Brass Prism Spectroscope by John Browning of London. I must say that I am a bit out of my league and am not exactly sure what type of Spectroscope this is. The cosmetic condition is very nice and all original. There is no evidence of wear to the varnish and the brass has a nice goldish warm tone to it. When looking tru the lens I can see the prism rainbow and an etched number scale. The view is clear and crisp. It is signed: JOHN BROWNING. 146 STRAND, LONDON. There are two caps included but the larger one has two cracks on the sides and therefore does not fit tightly enough to stay in place and the smaller cap seems to be a tad to small to fit. But they came with the Spectroscope, so they are included in the listing. The leather case shows wear and the closure is damaged. Spectroscope measures 3 1/2" x 2 1/8" Thank you ... morefor considering this listing. Shipping to PAYPAL CONFIRMED address ONLY. INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING via USPS PRIORITY mail OR EXPRESS only.
