The medal and brooch frame are in good condition for age. There is an old fashioned c-clasp pin on the pin. Which is slightly bent but still closes. The frame is gilded or gold plate, which has age-related wear on the pin and the tips of the claws(see photos) The size of the brooch is 2.5 cm(just under 1 inch) across, and it weighs 4.4 gm. A very nice piece for a collection or to take on your travels.

Lovely vintage silvered St Christopher Art Deco Catholic French medal car travel
A beautiful vintage silvered Art Deco medal of St Christopher. 6-sided, with a 1930s car on the reverse. This is a lovely medal featuring Saint Christopher. The patron saint of travellers, on one side, carrying the infant Jesus across the water, with the sun's rays pictured behind them in typical Art Deco style. On the reverse is a 1930s car travelling through mountains. Both sides exquisitely designed to a very high quality. It is possible that this is silver, as there is a mark on the bail, but I am not sure what this is, so I am listing it as a silver plated medal. Size is 15mm across, just over 1/2 inch) and 1.80 gm in weight. There is a jump ring in the bail, and the whole medal is in excellent condition. Great portrayal of a popular saint.

Mercury Silvered Glass HUGE 15+" Art Deco Bimini Bohemian Czech Stork Figurine I just purchased this antique Silvered/ Mercury" Glass figurine from a local estate here in Central Virginia. The piece is characteristic of the figural forms produced by a number of Bohemian and Germany glass houses during the first quarter of the 20th century(I've seen this form attributed to the Vienna company Bimini Werkstatten but couldn't find a definitive confirmation) The figure of a standing stork is quite impressive in stature. This is the largest example of this form I've ever seen measuring 15 ¾" high, 7 ½" long and 4 1/8" wide at the feet. The hand blown form shows nice stylized detail to the outstretched beak, delicately pulled wings and spread feet. The bright silvered lining is in excellent condition ... morewith only light scattered oxidation. The bird shows no damage or noted surface wear. This very hard-to-find size in excellent condition would make a great addition to any collection of early 1900's Silvered/ Mercury glass or antique Continental Art Glass Menagerie. Although it was originally"silvered" Only traces are still visible, but the bronze retains a fine patina! A small indentation on the lower rim appears to be a manufacturing issue and is not visible from above. Under the base the numerals 425 are impressed. Holes necessary for the manufacturing process are cleverly hidden in the back(see pictures) The vase exceeds the 600 gram capacity of my scale.not sure exactly how much it weighs, but it is heavy for its size and is just over 6 1/4" in height. I have cherished this piece for long enough and it's time to pass it on. I've had this looked at many times and I have a certificate on a recent professional appraisal. I am selling it under the auction estimate. So retail value is $1200-$1400 on this piece. It is truly stunning. Every time I've showed it, people are wowed. I've been told that it's a rare piece and a stunning example of the Art Nouveau era. The appraisal says it is either German or Austrian, circa 1900 and is made of"silvered metal" The lining is coming apart inside but it appears original. Up for auction is a fantastic Art Deco metal and glass round miniature picture frame. As can be seen in the last picture. The frame stands approximately 3 1/8" tall. The base measures approximately 2 3/4" X 1 1/2" The two round glass pieces measure approximately 2 1/2" across. The base is made of a silver color metal and is surprisingly heavy for its size. The two round glass pieces rest in a crescent shaped groove in the metal bass. Very minor chipping around the edges of the glass is present. This can be hidden by crescent groove. Images can be cut to size and sandwiched between the glass and can be viewed on either side. The pictures serve as part of the description so please look carefully. Antique French Art Nouveau Virgin Mary pierced silvered & gilt brooch pin medal
A beautiful little late 19th/early 20th century Art Nouveau brooch with the Virgin Mary in the centre. Featuring leafy scrolls and stars. The style is Art Nouveau/Belle Epoque and the portrait of the Virgin is similar to others which are found on medals of this era. Though I don't know the artist on this one. The scrolls around the sides and centre finish in a trefoil design, and two stars, four circles and two oval points are highlighted in rose tone gilding. There is a small scratch to the gilding on the bottom left hand circle, so they are not solid gold, but it is possible that the brooch is silver, though there are no marks to indicate this. The original pin has broken off the hinge(see photos) and has been replaced by an ordinary bent pin- I think this could be put right by a good jeweller and would be worth doing as it is such ... morea pretty object. It has an old-fashioned C-catch. The size of the brooch is approximately one inch square(2.5 cm) and it weighs 5.4 gm. Lovely collector's item.

HAMMERED ART DECO SILVER PLATED BRONZE BUCKLE This is a men's web belt buckle that belonged to my uncle. It is a small rectangle measuring 1 1/2 inch in height and just about 1 1/4 inch in width. It fits a 1 inch web belt. On the back are the words"Pioneer" and"Silver Plated. On the inside on the belt loop is the word"Bronze. Around the edge of the buckle is an X design with a bar between each X. Around a hammer design. There is an 8-sided box. There is no initial or other design. There is scratching to the front of the buckle and some discoloration. I'm not sure whether it will clean up when polished. The hallmark Pioneer is for the Pioneer Suspender Company. The belt itself is also made of silvered metal. But it is incredibly light-weight and articulated so finely that the belt curves and coils freely. The belt measures approximately 45" It's in nice shape. I've just noticed that there's a small spot of sticky gunk on the back. As if maybe someone put a price sticker on it at some point. These bags were usually worn with evening gowns or cocktail dresses and were considered an essential element for the elegant woman. Sold in high-end jewelry shops. This larger sized evening bag would probably have been used to carry a fine linen handkerchief, perhaps a dance card, a comb and maybe even a small pot of lip rouge(as well as taxi fare in case one's escort got out of hand) Made in France during the early 1900’s. Killer Art Deco Building Panel....Numbered--A Rare Find. Silvered Copper
This killer Art Deco panel is silvered copper and was removed from the the New England Power Building in Boston. I purchased this from the architectural salvage firm that removed them from the building on Ebay in 2004 for $500. These limited(and numbered) panels have sold for several times that since. This is being offered at far less than market because frankly. I am out of room. There is some light rust in one or two small spots, but it does not detract from the stunning beauty of this piece. This is of the art deco machine age period and if you desire it can be stripped down and re-coppered to make for an even more stunning piece(but hardly necessary) This is a must for the art deco collector, the machine age buff or Boston architecture fan.
