COMPOSITION & SIZE Antique, aluminium, round, approx. 2 inches with the bail. Early 20th Century. CONDITION Excellent with fine patina. It is interesting to note that when aluminum was first extracted (around 1787) it was considered a precious metal and sold for $1200 per kilogram by 1852. There are 2 small black marks that I was unable to polish out with silver polish. See pictures. I believe this celebration took place in Canada. This is a unique and beautiful piece.
