3 Queen Mary Vertical Ribbed, Double-Branched Candlesticks (and Cinco de Mayo)
Three candlesticks. Each with two candle holders. They were made by Anchor Hocking in the Queen Mary pattern in the 1930s to 1940s. Each is 4" wide and slightly over 4 1/4" tall. Good, vintage condition. I'm also listing this under party supplies for Cinco de Mayo. Call me crazy. But I think these look like little saguaro cacti. I used them on a Cinco de Mayo buffet table and they looked fantastic.

A really nice commemorative Tin featuring King George and Queen Mary upon their Silver Jubilee in 1935. It has a very nice color picture of them on the top. Surrounding the picture are Flowers and vines! Over the scene is a crown and on the bottom is their coat of arms. The Tin is blue with silver trim. It has a very nice detail over all. It is in good condition with normal wear and tear of a 80 year old item. There is a very small color loss. It is 6.00 inches long. 3.50 inches wide and 1.25 inches high. However. Under the portrait of Queen Mary it is signed Russell and Sons. I looked them up and a family firm of portait painters and later photographers based in Chichester who were called Russell and Sons were well known for their portraits of notable and distinguished persons. Including royalty. In 1868, the studio photographed Princess Victoria Mary of Teck(later Queen Mary) and so I think perhaps this plate could be based on that portrait. 2 x Rare Victorian Scottish Silver "Mary Queen of Scots" Brooches
This is a lot of 2 x Rare Victorian Scottish Silver"Mary Queen of Scots" Brooches. I would think Circa.1870 or thereabouts. The largest is 162mm by 37mm, the smallest is 49mm by 27mm. Both have been hand chased/engraved from a solid sheet of silver and are not the mass produced pressed brooches one sometimes sees. There are no markings on either brooch, which is not unusual with jewellery of this period and both test as sterling silver. The smallest brooch is set with a pale brown stone/glass, which is probably cairngorm. I am not sure why these brooches were produced and I have not come across one before. However, it probably commemorated some anniversary or other and I think must be quite rare. Both are in excellent condition for their age, but there is a little surface scratching to the stone in the smaller brooch, with some ... moresmall losses to the silver retaining it in the setting(see photo's) Lovely pieces obtained from a private collection. Commemorative plate of King George V & Queen Mary's Silver Jubilee in 1935 RARE!
Up for sale is a pretty bone china plate. Which commemorates the Silver Jubilee of King George V and Queen Mary of Great Britain in 1935. The 7" square plate was made in England by the famous quality china company, Aynsley. The decoration features a transfer ware photographic depiction of the King& Queen, Windsor Castle, Houses of Parliament and Commonwealth flags, with the border representing the Coat of Arms of the Commonwealth countries which, at that time, were all part of the British Empire. The plate rim is trimmed in silver gilt. The Aynsley backstamp is on the bottom. Overall the plate is in good condition with minor surface scratches, conducive with its 78 years of age, however there is an uneven glaze area above the central crown, also the top rim of the plate has some wear on the silver, I suspect from a family member ... moreusing a plate hanger. There are no chips, cracks or crazing visible. It should be visible in pic 7. Please use the zoom feature for more details. This is a fine condition example of a footed pottery tile. To be used as a teapot stand and celebrating the coronation in 1911 of King George V and Queen Mary. The royal train stopped to allow them to visit the Lewis Colliery. Treherbert, Pontypridd, and also the cottage of Mr and Mrs Jones of 71 Bute St, Aberdare, where they took tea. Included is the newspaper articles relating to the visit, two original photographs showing the cottage of Mr and Mrs Jones, one showing Queen Mary leaving the cottage.
