Title GERMANY AT THE TIME OF REFORMATION. another old map by Harding copy-write 1916 printed 5th edition in 1924 a couple of areas need repair. easy to make the map look very good by separating the top dowel just trim the torn areas and screw the dowel back together use a little tape and you my friend are a map expert.almost.I take the pictures in bright light to make the maps look worse not better. no repairs no tricks just old maps worth 10 cents to some and hundreds to others. if you are the 10 cent buyer please look at my other maps some may cost 20 cents.in 1920; The pictures show the details of map and the repairs done many years ago.

This old vintage 1937 Nystrom school pull down wall map of Africa came from an estate map collection. The map itself is approx. 50 by 40 and pulled down all the way including both top and bottom wood rollers it is approx. 58 by 40. It is in reasonably nice condition considering its age and use. It still has nice bright vivid color. The black color on bottom has some color loss. The bottom and sides have some staining. Has some edge rub wear and some crinkles. This is an old school map. The kind that used to hang over chalkboards. They operate like a shutter and roll up. This is probably 50's or 60's. Mexico has a rip in it and there is rust on the metal part. I was going to dump this but maybe somebody wants it. Map shows some wear and I have taken all 12 pictures to try to show the condition, it is very readable and clear, measures 44" wide and 66" tall, has the spring loaded roller bar on the top, it is missing the wall mount brackets. AWESOME - RARE Space Age Pull Down School Wall Chart Science Vintage Moon map
It's big. It's cool, its SPACE. Here's a teaching aid produced by the Hearne Brothers from, I'm guessing from the illustration work, the late 50s to early 60s. The first two photos show the front and back of the chart. The actual printed area is roughly 66" wide by 50" tall. I've spent some time detailing the defects in photos. There's some water/mildew stains and tears on the edges of the pull bar(not that unusual for pull down charts)

Map is in Very Good Condition for its age in my personal opinion. there are some maps that have highlighter/marker/pen markings likely from being used as a teaching tool. This old Nystrom pull down school map came from an old school house. The actual map size is 50 by 40 and overall 58 by 40. The map has a cloth back and nice vivid colors. Because of it's school use and age it has some crinkles. A loss of color area by the large South America right hand corner, some edge wear, some black bottom color loss, and a front and back clear tape repair by the Falkland Islands. Please see pictures. This old NYSTROM school map is probably a 1937 issue. It is very similar in size and looks to six other maps all found together in a school house and the other Nystrom maps were dated 1937. This old map is in nice condition considering it's age and school use. It has some crinkles. Stain spots near bottom and a two inch tape repair on the back which is not very noticeable on front. It has some black bottom paint loss. Please see pictures. It still has it's original wooden top and bottom rollers. It has a cloth back and the map is 50 by 40 and 58 by 40 overall.

One interesting fact is that the population of Kansas in 1950 was 1,905,299. I think this was probably used in an elementary school classroom. This listing is for a Antique"WORLD School Pull Down Map that measures approximately 50" tall by 64" wide. There is a yellow discoloration along the bottom 4 1/2" of the map. The map itself is in good shape and the pull down action works great. This map is marked Special Ranally Political World Modified Sinusoidal Projection. We can't find a date on the map but from what the different countries are called we have narrowed it down to 1930's or 1940's we believe but not sure. This auction is for one Rand McNally World Wall map. This map is used. But in pretty good shape. It is a roll out or hang up type map. I am not sure of the age because I cannot find a printing date on it, but I suspect it is older that 1988 as it still has the old Soviet Union and Yugoslavia listed on it. The map is in pretty good shape. It does have a couple small tears along one edge and does show some creases. Crinkles, and general wear. Map has wear along bottom edge where the map is attached to wooden pull that runs all the way across the bottom of the map. Scratches and surface rub wear marks commensurate with its age. Box's brass hardware is intact and in need of cleaning. The swivel hook on one end of the box is slightly bent.
