They seem to range from the early to late 1920’s– 40’s. They are beautiful if I do say so and that is why I grabbed them originally. I recently obtained this map from a very prominent local estate that had retained much of their familys furnishings dating back to the mid 1800s. This map is very stable but has condition issues as detailed in the condition report above. I have no experience handling antique maps so please ask questions if my photos do not answer them. Engraver, and cartographer active from 1817 to 1866, James H. 1895 Atlas RAILROAD MAP OF OHIO Cartography On Linen 29 1/3 X 31 2/3
This is a 1895 Railroad Map of Ohio in an atlas and on a linen type paper. It depicts all railroads operating in Ohio. Red circles are 25 miles apart. The map is in good vintage condition. It has some bending on all four corners and on the right lower side near the 1895 edge. The top has a one linen like strings hanging but no portion of the map is missing. The map has water damage that is shown in the pictures but fortunately the water spots do not show through on the map at all. The spine of the atlas is in poor condition and has almost completely detached but it does not take away from the map itself(in my opinion) It is 118 years old.

Vintage Embroidered Territories USA U.S. America United States Map Sampler Linen
A real find- a gorgeous US Map sampler- unframed- on quality white linen. very well done. Probably from the 1940's(definitely predates the late 50's. As Alaska and Hawaii are not on it) The stitching was done in cotton threads in a wide variety of bright colors. It measures 22" x 28" selvage to selvage. The condition is excellent for the age. still very bright and no stains or holes. would look wonderful framed. Look at the pictures- each territory/region is depicted by things by which it is known(palms and fishing for Florida. Rodeos for Texas, etc. plus there are different forms of early transportation depicted. really detailed and fun to explore! The eagle is wonderful! Thanks for looking and good luck bidding!
