This is a Vintage Crams world globe. Showing USSR. It is in very nice condition, no dents cracks or pen or pencil marks, Spins freely on its metal base. The only problem I see is at the equator, the paper band that covered the seam has come off, does not interfere with the globes appearance to me. If IO have measured correctly it stands approx. 13" tall and measuring around the equator it is approx. 28" Colors are bright and overall a clean nice globe. stand is a gold painted metal.

Antique Lighted Glass World Globe Paris Not Crams UFO Extraterrestrial Alien
Here we have a glass lighted globe which shows UFO sightings according to USSR data as of 1960. A most unusual piece. Various areas of the outer"skin" of the glass globe were peeled back and highlighted with white to show where these sightings occurred. Interesting that many areas of Antarctica were areas of UFO sightings. The writing on the base indicates a year of 1960. The amber bulb[included] lights up with the inline switch working as it should. Besides the alteration showing the sightings, the only other things I see is the finial on the top has been replaced by a nut and a tight age crack in the wood stem of the base which poses no threat to the structural integrity. Crams Imperial World Globe 12" Diameter 38" circumference and stands 37" tall. Good overall condition. The stand is solid and the globe is intact. The globe does have a couple of spots where the lamination material is coming up a bit. I feel this is an easy fix for the new owner. The base is made of hard wood I would say dark maple would be the color. The globe itself is tan with blue areas. Brass colored rings that serve as rings and pivot. They all work great. This is a 12 inch diameter crams plastic world globe night light. 7 foot 4 inch cord with easy turn switch for on and off viewing. Cord and switch is in great condition. The plastic globe has a few light scratches in it but not to bad and it still looks nice. The bottom set pin has been repaired but seems to be doing its job just fine. Not sure if the top pin is original or not. Both would be an easy cheap replacement if need be. The wood base is in really good condition and does look very nice. Over all it is a nice globe. Very nice and hard to find world globe on stand. 36" high. Great shape for age. Will ship broken down with some assembly required to save money shipping. A few spots where it appears some red paint got on wood base. One or two spots where some scratch cover could make look a bit better.
