This map shows all of the Caribbean Islands. Plus the northern portions of South America, Central America, and much of the Southern& Southeast portions of the United States, including the Chesapeake Bay down to Florida(a very distorted view) and west to Louisiana and Texas(see the many photos) There are also hundreds of towns and islands are named along with various text. This map measures 12 1/ by 15 1/2 inches when unfolded. Typically these large maps have many tears& various damage. But this map is in great condition-rarely found as such-and still has the full border around the edges. The first page in this magazine has a note reading: The commerce. 1889 Map of San Francisco with Reverse Map of Mexico and Caribbean
I bought this from an antique map dealer around 20 years ago. It appears to be an offset lithograph. One side is a detailed map of San Francisco in 1889 stating that George F. Cram of Chicago. Illinois was the engraver and publisher. There are no tears but there is a small crease in the upper left corner. It measures 11" x 14" Pn the reverse side is a map of Mexico, Cuba and Central America with a Continuation of the West Indies. There is one minute pin hole on the left hand side margin. There is no foxing.

Delaware, Maryland& West Virginia. This map was from the Johnsons Atlas and Johnsons maps were used during the Civil War. We purchased the atlas at an estate sale out in the country. We guarantee the map to be authentic- not a reproduction. As you can probably see in the photos there are some flaws around the edges, a page fold in the middle where it was in the book, a rip to the bottom crease/page fold and some tears along the edges. Royal Caribbean West Indies Cruise Map Aged & Distressed On Sculpted Wood Art
I've seen this Royal Caribbean West Indies cruise map before but never mounted for display in this manner. The map appears to have been burned around the edges and stained. It was then sealed to a wood board. The edges of the wood board have been sculpted to follow the outline of the map edges. The item was further aged and distressed by using some type of tools to create dents other surface imperfections. Through this process it appears there was some fading to the map ink. Mostly to the original red color. Has a wire on the the back for hanging on the wall. There is some chipping to the wood edges and corners primarily visible on the back.
