On the reverse side, is an article on"The Topographic Maps of The United States" including a Standard Symbols Legend. The map has specific details to it and shows various attributes- different road surfaces. Buildings, barnes, greenhouses, railroads, national boundaries, State boundaries, towns, woods, vineyards, marshes, mine tunnels, steep slopes, tunnels, bridges, etc. Map is generally in Good condition. It has been stored in a roll for many years. So it naturally rolls up now. The map has some wear and browning. There are some small creases and tears around the edges of the paper and other stains along the edges. There are other creases and dings here and there. As well. This map is a great piece of history! ANTIQUE DATED 1872 WORCESTER ROYAL PORCELAIN HERON PLATE RICHARD BRIGGS BOSTON
Offering this rare Heron pattern plate manufactured May 1867 by The Worcester Royal Porcelain Co. England. This is a 10 3/8 inch diameter porcelain dinner plate decorated with hand painted applied transfer of a flying heron trimmed in metallic gold and colorful flora pattern. The bottom bares the Richard Briggs retailer stamp over the standard Royal Worcester mark. The"C" in the center of this stamped mark was used from 1862 to 1875. The impressed Worcester Royal Porcelain Co. mark is also present. From 1867 a system of dating by year letters was used. The upper case G as seen impressed on the bottom of this plate, represents 1872 and the 5, the month of May. This piece is in excellent condition. There are a couple of light, hard to see utensil marks and the edge of the rim shows light glaze rub. There are no chips, cracks or crazing.

Wow what a nice window set with a sturdy 2" thick frame. The frame was painted on one side and stained on the interior side. Some caulk missing. There is an old split repair that seems to be holding fine. The glass is very good overall. One section with a tiny crack. One that is scratched and some typical old glass imperfections. The other section has four cracks, but three are very tiny. This window makes a statement and is well worth the money. We can get an estimate from Great Box's Inc. PAIR OF VARNISH SILVERED GLASS TIE BACKS OR BOSTON SANDWICH MT WASHINGTON
Listed for purchase are an EXTREMELY RARE PAIR of Silvered glass Tie Backs of rare emerald Green glass cut back to silver. They measure approximately 2 + ¼ inches tall without the screw by 2 inches across. These Tiebacks were either made by E. Varnish or Hale Thomson who held the patents for Silvered glass in 1849 while Whitefriars was the producer of the Glass in England or by the Boston& Sandwich or the Mount Washington Glass Company here in America. I dare not disassemble the silver plated collar and screw to see if the base has the E Varnish or Hale Thomson glass wafer. The Tie Backs are Circa 1850 to 1870 and are as all this glass was and is Spectacularly Beautiful. There is an informative book on Silvered and Mercury glass by. It is a wonderful book however her price guide is a tad to simplistic. I care not how much money you may have or care to spend but your chances of buying a Vase or Doorknobs or these tiebacks are close to an impossible task. I noticed a 9" vase marked E Varnish fetched 16 thousand dollars. This type of Art Glass is close to impossible to obtain. It is not the common Bohemian Mercury glass so available today. This tin is in good condition and displays well. As you can see in the photos, the tin's paper label has several tears and some missing sections.
