This is a beautifully framed original Circa 1900 map depicting Wards 4& 5 of the City Of Boston. Massachusetts. It shows the Massachusetts State Prison, the rail yards and routes, The Boston and Maine Railroad Union Station{Which became North Station} and the surrounding streets. It was created in a scale of 200 feet to the inch. The large"antiqued" and gold gilt frame measures 31 1/2" H x 41 1/2" W. But as you can see, either side would look great as a framed wall sized poster. I love all of the extra notes: i.e. JAYWALKING IS ILLEGAL IN BOSTON” Etc. Date of map is May 1965– code on front 5-65. A triple A map. Size: full size approx. 35 by 25 ½ inches– when folded up. It measures approx 8 ½ by 3 ½ inches. Condition: appears unused. Interior extremely nice, but does show the fold marks, exterior cover shows some very light age toning– no markings within, no rips, no tears. Check out my!
