Up for your consideration is this brass antique stern light. It's marked CW and my research says it could be Charles Winn. Charles Winn and Company Limited, Saint Thomas Works. Granville Street, and Borad Street, Birmingham, engineers and brassfounders. Initially plumbers brass work. Beer engines, gas and steam fittings. Later they specialised in valves and fire-fighting equipment. This is mark under a well made heavy bowl with lid. It has two holes in the side. But I'm thinking they are to be there. I've left it with it's original patina. The globe has no chips or cracks, although the base has 2 tiny flakes, which I've tried to picture.The globe is clear glass and isn't sick, I just didn't clean it yet and has some salt on it. Antique early 1900's Quartersawn Oak mission stepback file cabinet. about 41 inches wide. The bottom section is 25 1.2 inches deep, the piece with the file drawers is 16 1/2 inches deep. The drawers measure 13 by 12, and the bottom section cabinet doors are 19 inches wide and 22 inches high. This file cabinet is in outstanding condition with desireable paneled sides. 4 parts comprised of a seperate top cap, one section that has 3 filing drwaers, the next section for storage and a seperate base. I could not find a name but it looks to be a globe wernicke piece or Yawman and Erbe. Very useful quality mission oak file cabinet. Came from an estate sale from Rochester NY. Antique Rose Pink Painted Floral Globe Kerosene Lamp/Early 1875-1900 Period
This is a beautiful antique globe style kerosene lamp that dates back to 1875 to 1900. This lamp has been in my family for many years and eventually became my grandmother's. The original top globe was broken in 1952 when I ran into it while playing in a"forbidden room-front parlor" at my grandmother's house. The original was a large upside down bell type globe with beautiful flowers on it also. I added this clear tall globe for taking the pictures and will include it. Antique Mini Oil / Whale Oil Hanging Wall Lamp / ? English / Milkglass Globe
Unusual antique wall lamp. The receptacle for oil is small. So it could be whale oil? It is domed shaped and has a lion finial. A long thin tube extends from the mouth of the lion in an exaggerated swoop down and up again. At the end of the tube are metal brackets that hold the white milkg lass globe in place. This lamp is made to hang on the wall. No wick. This piece is unmarked but does have characteristics of possibly being English. It stands 6 1/2" tall at the highest point and 5 1/2" deep. Very good overall condition with a slight dent at the bottom swoop of the oil tube. Quite a unique piece for the collector who seeks unusual examples of early lighting. Gorham Silver plate oil lamp antique vintage collectible hand blown glass globe
You are looking at a beautiful old oil lamp. One more item I have found packed away in a box I inherited from my grandmother. It is in great condition. It was kind of tarnished up when I unwrapped it but has polished up unbelievably beautiful. I am not sure if the glass globe is hand blown or not. It is in perfect condition with one very very faint scratch on the glass that you have to hold up to the light to see. It has a cut glass design on it of slash marks that go back and forth and then goes to a straight cut with a little ball on the end that goes up the glass. On the round stem piece it states made in USA Thomaston Conn. I believe it is probably in perfect working order however it will need a wick.
