This is a an antique globe. Made using Rand McNally gores(maps) And produced for the American Globe and School Supply Company. Copyright 1891 by Rand McNally. 8" diameter; 14" tall. Appears to have been used in a schoolhouse. And shows the resultant wear. Maps are soiled and yellowed- could probably be cleaned by a conservator, but I will not attempt any repairs. Some paper loss, and one area of significant dark soiling. See photos. Coleman Model 275 lantern. Dated 11-79. Surface rust on globe base which I did not clean yet it should clean up with an SOS pad. I am not an expert on these lanterns yet it seems to burn dim. Has what appears to be the hard to find original etched globe. Paint is nice and I don't see any rust on fount. I used it 1 time in my hunting tent and it is a cool lantern. Will need new mantles. A 5 stack Globe Wernicke Grade 598 solid mahogany with rich finish barrister with brass trim. 7 pieces including the top and base. All original wavy glass with old brass knobs and bands around each section. Each section is labeled with the stickers. The bottom is a stepback unit and has an unusually big section which is labeled E. This refers to the size and is desireable at 13 1/2 inches deep and very tall. Can accomodate large law books. Photo albums and collectibles. There is slight wear to the top cap piece which is in one of the photos. Someone may have left a plant on top and the ring from water appeared. No damage to wood here just finish. It cannot be seen when the bookcase is together. On the base there is some wear on the right side that looks like it happened maybe 20 years ago and a 3-4 inch metal band is missing. The ultimate storage/organization piece with it's variety of drawers and cabinet space. There are 4 drawer/cabinet sections plus the base. Top and a mid top/counter piece. Original dark brown paint with original black painted wood-grained effect over the brown, giving it a nice, subtle faux-wood-grained look. Some chipping to the paint but retains at least 90-95% The entire unit is 71" high x 32" wide x 25" deep and weighs 440 lbs. Incredibly solid with extreme heavy-duty high-quality construction. Notice the"raised panel" look to the cabinet doors and some of the drawers. Very clean and ready to place in your office, workshop, study, loft, etc. Everything works and fits together ... morecorrectly. This beautiful survivor has an overall fantastic look with age/patina/distress/ wear& tear/etc(see photos for cosmetic condition) and is completely solid and tight structurally. Two fully adjustable steel shelves with spring-lock mechanisms are in the bottom cabinet. Antique Perko Wonder Junior Skaters Marine Lantern Lamp w Marked Globe
This antique lamp is 6 1/4" tall and it's 3" wide across the base. It's missing wire handle. The burner wheel is signed Perkins Marine Lamp Co in Brooklyn NY, and it has a working wick adjuster. The lamp is made of tin with some light rust, no dents or cracks, the connection for the two pieces is loose and needs to be adjusted, the globe has chips to the edges because it looks to be hand cut and there are no cracks.

Please investigate this. Pictures#1, 4& 5 shows it with a clear crystal plate at the base of the globe. This is not an original part. The original part has been lost to time. I have another one of these globes with this original beige crystal"nipple" plate part. I can e mail you photo's of it, so that you may understand what the original nipple plate part looks like. I am selling the globe that does not have the original part. However, improvising with this clear glass plate it looks stunning. This clear glass plate is held in place by gravity on the inside of globe. It cannot slip through just as the original part was used. The reasons I ... moream letting this globe go as inexpensively as I am is the lack of original plate. That. And one of the clips that hold the two large halves of the main sections together is also missing to time. It is being held with three clips sufficiently& safely[originally it had 4] You can consider having a machine shop bend another replacement clip. This piece is very large as well as very heavy. Each of the two halves measures 14" across outer edge to outer edge at the widest point approximately. It has a circumference of 44" all the way around the widest point of globe. With out the clear glass improvised part in place and sitting the globe on the table. It measures 9 3/4" in height. With the fitter in place it measures 14" in height to the top of the hanging loop on the fitter. Approximately. The 3 clips measure 1 1/2" in length and 7/8" in width approximately. These clips have bends which snap it into place on the rims. There are 4 little indent places on the bottom half of the globe. Feel for these. The U bend end of clip goes on the bottom half of globe. The S shaped end snaps it into place on the top half of globe. The top half of globe does not have

This piece has latitude and longitude lines with continents along with Chinese characters for the different continents. The lid lifts to allow access to a removable jar with lid. The piece is signed with a sun symbol inside the lid along with the logo for Swatow to underside of the removable jar. The piece does have some small dents around the globe. The pewter is soft so I believe these could be removed by a competent hand. The piece has been polished at some point and very much resembles silver. I place the production early 1920 because of Petrograd presence. Marker: 1922- Russia changes to Soviet Union( Still Russia)1924- Christiana, Norway renamed Oslo( Still Christiana) While the condition is not pristine it has been restored to top condition with this grade: fair condition with some touch up the the Atlantic. A small crack in France,all of the country are easy to read. The globe turn freely. The overall colors are fading in some part with oxidation.The old yellow varnish has been removed to restore most of the original color. Vintage Antique Table Floor Lamp Metal Base Includes Globe 28" High
Up for bids is an antique table lamp measuring between 28 and 29 inches tall. The glass globe is 8 inches across, it has an 8 inch base that is very nicely detailed. Includes bulb. Lamp has been rewired and works great. The pictures of the base(5th and 6th pictures) are the actual color. It was taken when I had it apart and was cleaning it before dark, the other pictures are taken with flash and do not show the true color, will take more tomorrow in daylight. I don't know the age of it or any more information other than it appears to be very old. Going by the condition of the original cord and the plug that was on it. I would think its from the 1920s to 1940s but really have no way of knowing. I did some searching on ebay archives and did not find one like it that had been sold in the last 2 years. T here are some numbers stamped on the ... morebottom of the base but the switch is in the way and all I can make out is S11 with 2 more numbers under the switch. And I would rather not remo ve the s wit ch as I'm afraid I would have to replace i t if I did. It screws into the base and it doesn't want to come loose. But if it would help someone by knowing what the n umbers are under it I will remo ve it and if it gets damaged will replace it with a new switch. Designed to hold 3" by5" index cards or library Dewey Decimal System cards. All the original drawer sliding mechanisms, rods, and supports are still present and work perfectly. All original brass pulls and hardware are also present and in good condition. I believe it dates to before 1930. It is very tight and solid. All the drawers are metal except for the wooden face. The cabinet has some scratches and scuffs but I really like the way that makes it look antique. This piece would finish very nicely if that is your preference.
