The decorative and well-executed globe depicts the Earth as it was known during the age of exploration. The stand and meridian are made of brass, stamped Japan. The globe is a reproduction of a 16th Century Mercator globe with hand applied paper gores. It was probably made some time in the 60s or 70s. Just acquired out of a Midwest estate. We are able to offer this original 1890's era ~ FROSTED SATIN GLASS GONE WITH THE WIND OIL LAMP ~. The matching shade and base are original to each other. This is a fairly large lamp measuring 23 inches tall. The over all condition is quite nice and it has been electrified at some point in its life. It looks like the font was drilled to run the wire through, and I also see a crack in the brass font along the side. There is no damage to base or shade with the exception of a some expected small little chips or roughness around the bottom fitter end of the globe, that is not seen when placed in the frame. I believe that this lamp was possibly made by Pittsburgh, although I am fairly certain that the collectors will recognize it. This original Victorian Gone With The Wind oil lmap would make a fine addition ... moreto any collection or would be a great lamp to simply use. 2 Antique Beacon railway lanterns / hurricane red globe lanterns, v. good shape
Two Railway lanterns/ hurricane lanterns. Alternate names include Cold Blast Lamp. One lantern stamped'SMP Quality' From the Sheet Metal Products Company. In 1933 the SMP brand was merged with another to form General Steel Wares Ltd, which is the stamp on the second lamp(GSW Quality) Oil fed lamps became part of the rail industry around 1860. Lamps were hung on trains to indicate the class of train. At cross roads, and within the rail yard to signal to trains. The red glass globe lantern were often used to signal along the rail line or in the rail yard. Cold Blast Lanterns channel fresh air through side tubes and, producing an almost white type of flame with little flicker that is bright and efficient. There is an oil tank on the bottom that forms the base of the lamp. There is a door for filling(blocked on the SMP. Functional on ... morethe GSW) and a knob to increase or decrease the length of the wick which is functional on both lamps. The steel cover is vented to allow the heat to escape. There is a curved wire attached to the top of the arms to allow it to be hung on a hook. The lantern globes are intact on both lanterns and are a dark red in colour. Enjoy these beautiful pieces of memorabilia which are in good shape. One in excellent shape. They have been in my possession for 20 years and have been used for display only. They are an excellent addition for a collector of vintage memorabilia.

The parlor lamp is absolutely beautiful. The burner is"success" the fill cap on the oil can is marked"B& H" for Bradley& Hubbard. The bottom part of the lamp is a rose. Floral pattern. The globe is a slightly different shade of red, that almost looks dark orange when seen in sunlight. The globe pattern is also floral, but I'm not sure what type of flower. The lamp in it's entirety measures 14" tall. The fitter is 4 1/4" She shade/globe has an approximately 10" diameter. The top opening is 3 1/2" the bottom opening is 4" where it goes into the fitter) This lamp has not been ... moreelectrified& there's no wick or chimney(a replacement chimney can easily be obtained) When you twist the"success" burner knob. You can see metal move up the tube. I'm not an expert in these type of lamps, but it seems like all the parts/pieces are there, except for the fabric part of the wick. The brass portions of the lamp have wonderful, aged patina. It could use a good cleaning(there is some old kerosene residue underneath the lamp base) There are no chips or cracks in the body of the lamp or the shade. There are"flea bite" chips around both openings of the shade, which is very common for lamps of this age. I actually it amazing that lamps can still be around after all this time, in such good condition. This lamp is in wonderful condition. If desired. The lamp could be converted to electric but many people(including myself) love an antique light it it's original form. The lamp& shade will be shipped separately. Due to fragility. This auction is for an Antique Adlake Erie RR Kerosene Lantern. It has its original Corning Glass Globe with raised Cnx mark and Made in USA(see pictures) Small area on top of lantern where there is some green and blue paint. I started to scrap this off with my finger nail but this left a shiny spot so I quickly stopped. Otherwise lantern is in excellent condition. There is a small dent on bottom where it has USA patent numbers and Canada Patent dates 1921-1923. It also reads Adlake Kero-2-47. Globe has a few small chips on the edge but these are covered by the metal rims of the lantern and are not visible when inside the lantern. This is a nice 4 stack antique barrister bookcase marked Globe Wernicke. This piece came out of the Dept.of State in Washington. DC and still has the old stickers. All the glass fronts are intact with no damage. Door slides work fine; one was recently replaced. All sections have the original finish with slight color variations and non matching old brass knobs. There is no significant damage only some minor stains and scratches obtained over the years. In total you are purchasing 6 pieces: 4 cabinets. A top, and a legged base. Each separate cabinet is approximately 33” wide x 13”deep x 14 3/4” tall. Total height of the case is approximately 72” Please see all photos. It comes from smoke free environment. Up for sale today. I am offering an antique stackable sectional book case. This is a beautiful antique. The wood is all original. To me, it looks like mahogany but I cannot be sure. The wood has some cracking and wear that is typical with wooden antiques. However, they are pretty solid and still in great condition, especially for their age. These all stack in a specific order. They look wonderful when all stacked together. A couple of these still have their The Globe Wernicke Co stickers on them. The glass is in great condition on all the sections as well. The top section has two knobs. Sections 2-4 have one knob in the center of the front. The last section has one knob on one side and it seems as if there is a missing knob on the opposite side. The second section down has a piece of wood that has fallen from the inside but it looks like ... moreall it needs is a screw and it should go back up. This is a fantastic old Rayo No. 22 Cold Blast lantern from pre-1920s. It is a cold blast dash lantern. With bail handle, a brass burner, with dark red paint remaining on the back of the rear reflector and the bottom of the lantern. There is a rear reflector and spring to hold against the dashboard(wall) front of a buggy. The reflector for attaching to the buggy or auto increased candlepower. Rayo was the trade name of lighting items distributed by Standard Oil Company. ANTIQUE 4 1/2 INCH LIGHT PURPLE LILAC AMETHYST LIGHTNING ROD BALL GLOBE
This is an old antique medium purple lightning rod ball. It measures 4 1/2" across and the rod hole is 1" It is in great condition with no cracks or breaks. The collar rings do have normal age chipping as shown.There are some bubbles in the glass th at is common with old glass. There is a little residue inside from being out on the roof for years. I have not tried to clean it at all. This would make a nice addition to any collection. Please check the pics for the best description. It will be well packed and fully insured. There are a bunch of areas where the paper has flaked off and someone has colored the areas green. The green filled in areas look to be a very old repair. Also the bronze ring around the globe has a crack. It still displays nice and is readable in most places.
