Very nice nautical sail ship night light. Fair shape for it's age. No chips or cracks in the glass bottom. Glass bottom has chipped paint and chrome needs polishing. But it looks so cool lite up! The green and red colored plastic on the deck is cracked on each side, but not very noticable. All sails are there but strings need reattched in a few places. Antique 1869 Scottish Clipper Ship Brass Nautical Lantern Kerosene/Oil Lamp-1255-Dumbarton Scotland I just purchased this nice antique piece at a local estate auction. It is is very good condition considering its age! It has a very nice patina to it and all of the glass is still intact. It also has all of the reflector plates on the inside lid. This is important because there are reproductions out there and they do not have the reflector plates. Reproductions also don't have the lead flaps at the tops of the glass panels to hold the glass in. The other thing to look for is the data plate. Reproductions are usually thin and cheesy looking. This lamp has the nice thick data plate. I did my research before buying this at the auction and am 100% confident that this is an original. In fact there is still some soot in the corners of the reflector ... moreplates to indicate that it was used. Measurements are 24" tall and 14" across. I have up for sale a rare vintage original circa late 1800s to early 1900s Marine Division ARTISTIC BRASS& BRONZE WKS NY ship oil lamp lantern complete with original hanging bracket. The lamp is complete with the inside oil lamp with original chimney and reflector. The lamp stands approx 18-3/4" to the top handle and approx 16-1/2" to the top of the lamps upper section. It weighs approx 9 1/2 lbs and the bracket approx 3 lbs +. It is in Good as found original condition- normal general wear but no real issues. Some light surface rust that will clean off. Antique Vtg Rare Perko Nautical Marine Lantern Port Starboard Combination This cool old Perko nautical lantern is a hard to find model. According to my search for a similar one. The lantern has both port& starboard lenses, with a dividing plate between the ribbed red& deep aqua green glass. The lantern has old silver paint with typical surface age. The interior lamp is brass& shows surface greening. The wick advances. One of the two side mounting brackets on the interior lamp is missing. The lantern displays very nicely& the glass on the lantern is free of any chips or cracks. No dents. It measures 11" high to the top of the holding ring by 4.5" wide and 7" deep. Vtg PERKO SHIPS NAUTICAL BOAT LANTERN LIGHT VERY HEAVY BRASS & THICK GLASS
This is a very thick brass nautical light made by Perko. The red glass is original& also very thick. It was rewired for household current& works. The wire is very short& bared at the end& has a cut in it. So it probably should be replaced. It stands 9 1/2" tall. It has two open threaded fittings(one on bottom& one on back) It also has a smaller hole that the new wiring was ran through. I'm not sure if it was on a ship or maybe even a bridge. It is heavy duty, I put it on a bathroom scale& it registered 10 pounds. The glass is still in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. It was found in an old estate in northern Michigan right on Lake Huron, so it probably has some history. Unfortunately I do not know the history of it. Vintage tug boat light, channel marker buoy light, red warning light lens, red beacon light This large lens measures approximately 6" high and 5.75" overall width from outer edge of lens. Mounting rim edge measures 5.25" dia. Appears to be marked S-4072-L. No other maker name appears that I can see. The only mark is a small chip found on an edge near the bottom. These do have wear from age and use including very worn cloth electric cords(works but for safety needs upgrade) The brass/gold finish has corrosion and tarnish. And the shade on the red lamp is a bit bent on one of the edges. The red shade has a chip near the top- shown in picture 9 by pointer finger and some chipping around the bottom edge. Vtg Copper Sealine Sea Line Hanging Ship Nautical Fresnel Type Lens Oil Lantern
This is the classic solid copper anchor lamp used on sailing ships for hundreds of years. The lamp is hand machined in pure heavy-gauge copper with brass trim. Comes with burner and a bit of wick. The Fresnel style lens is made to magnify the oil lamp light to be visible for 20 nautical miles. The Anchor lamp is named for it's use. A 360 o white light is required to be displayed at the highest point(the tallest mast) on all vessels at anchor or under way at night. These oil burning lanterns were made to be lit. Hoisted to the top of the mast with one rope tied to the handle and a 2nd rope tied to the bottom bail to keep it from swaying as the ship rolls with the sea. A very nice lamp. Ready to use. Vtg Nautical Ship Engine Gauge Telegraph Lamp Baldwin Brockett Ship Chandlery This is an outstanding vintage table lamp with nautical fittings. It is made of wood and antique brass with a ship's engine throttle gauge also known as a telegraph. I believe the wood is mahogany. Very handsome. The shade is the original shade for this lamp; it is drum style and made of linen with authentic rope trim detail. These telegraphs were used on a ship's officer bridge where the officer on deck would transmit orders to the engine room to change the engine speed. Gauges of this type were used on U S Navy and other large ships in the early 1900's. It is marked Baldwin-Brockett. Ship Chandlery, Milford, Conn. This lamp is in great condition and made in the USA. The wood has nice grain and color. The antique brass has a soft patina. The ship gauge ... morelooks great too. The wood lever on the gauge moves well and the engine commands are completely legible on the face. The lamp works very well. It takes a 3-Way bulb so you can adjust the lighting to suit the need: accent to reading. The socket. Plug and cord are all in great condition. I think it may have been rewired and a new socket fitted as the socket has a True Value tag on it and the plug and cord are pliable and in tip top condition. This lamp looks to have been well taken care of- very gently used with no issues to report. It is ready to use wherever you please. The lamp measures 36 1/2" High including the 1 1/2" brass finial at the top. The engine gauge face measures a 7 1/2" Diameter. The underside base of the lamp is covered in green felt and has an 8 7/8" Diameter. The handle of the gauge extends 5" from the face. The gauge handle easily moves and can be adjusted to lie close to the lamp base or extended out if you like. The shade is 16 1/4" High has a 15 3/8" diameter. For auction is an old oil lamp. Very unusual one, I think. I have not been able to figure out too much about it. It has some age though. The bottom is weighted, which I was thinking might indicate that it was to be used on a boat or ship. The only marking is on the knob and it has an R and V on each side of a anchor. I have had this a few years in my basement bar. But changing themes and it is time to let it go. I am not sure it is functional, but the way it is made I would expect that it might be. From an estate sale is an Antique Vtg Brass Wall Oil or Kerosene Lantern. It measures 13" long and the beveled glass windows measure 4" x 3" All windows are free of cracks or damage. There is some surface rust on the inside but no corrosion to the metal to cause holes or damage so it could be cleaned if needed.
