VINTAGE ANTIQUE PORT & STERN OLD SHIP LANTERNS
These are two ship lanterns my father-in-law had in is liquor store during the 1950's in Santa Barbara California that was close to the beach. They were old when he got them. They appear to be hand made. The height is 12 inches to the seam that is before the top. The height to the handle on top is approxmately 16" The front is 14 1/2 inches in circumference Each side is 9 1/2 inches across. It is 14 1/2 inches across the top. The red lantern weighs almost 12 pound and the other 9 pounds. They are dirty and the Blue lantern's glass has been broken and repaired. Antique/Vintage Rotating Ship's Lantern- Converted to Electric. The piece is in good working condition. I suspect that it is brass under the copper colored paint. It can be used as wall mounted or stand up. Very unusual piece. It could stand a good cleaning but I do not see any major issues to report. It is very heavy. The piece is about 10 1/4" tall(without the wall piece) with the wall piece using as a stand up. Vintage Floodlight Westinghouse Nautical, Navy, Maritime, Ship light INDUSTRIAL
For your consideration is a very old Westinghouse Electronic MFG. Co. Floodlight. It is very heavy. It's on a stand and the light swivels up and down. A metal plate on the top front says that the watts are 200 and the Style is 1217420. There is a W on the top metal and also in the middle of the lens. I found one like this on Google and it is described as Vintage Nautical. Maritime Floodlight, Naval, Ship Light from around the 1940's. I know nothing about the history of the floodlight but would like to know more about it if anyone can tell me more. The cord is old and I did not test it. This item is large and heavy. I'm guessing it is cast iron and aluminum but not sure of the material. The back shows black that comes off when I dabbed at it. This is probably a pretty rare item and would make a good addition to any Nautical collection. Sale fell through on last listing of this item. This is a clean and fully functional"Ahlemann& Schlatter" ships lantern. It measures approximately 25" from bottom handle to top handle. And approximately 12" in width. The length of the lantern body is 18" and the lantern weighs almost 11 lbs. This lantern is made out of galvanized steel and it is LARGE! The lantern pictured on the right is the average size lantern you typically see listed on ebay and is used in the photo, so you can see the difference in size. It is not included in this sale. This is ideal for the person who prefers a lantern that has a more industrial look. There is not another Ahlemann& Schlatter lantern like this on ebay RARE! Vintage Red Glass Fresnel Lens For Ship Light Or Lantern
This is for one vintage– antique red glass lens for a boat light. Ship light, shore light or lantern. It is in the shape of half of a cylinder. The lens is in the shape of a Fresnel lighthouse style lens. It is red glass through and through. Not just red on the surfaces. It is 7 3/8 inches tall and 7 7/8 inches wide at it's widest. It has an inside diameter of 6 9/16 inches. It has a molded in rabbit or stepped edge for mounting in the lantern on the top and bottom. On the top edge it has"Corning Made in U.S.A. molded in the glass. The side edges have grind marks from making it flat there. There are some small chips on the edges. There are no cracks or repairs on it. It came from Duluth, Minnesota. Duluth is at the west end of Lake Superior and has a large ocean going ship harbor. This is a vintage 1950's cabin ceiling light that I removed from the Captains cabin on the treasure hunting ship. Arctic Discoverer. The Arctic Discoverer was auctioned off in May, 2013 to a salvage company. I was fortunate enough to be able to collect some artifacts from this historic ship before it was sent to the scrap yard. The Arctic Discoverer is the ship that recovered tons of gold and artifacts from the"Ship of Gold" the SS Central America in 1988. The Arctic Discoverer has been featured on the History Channel on their show"History's Mysteries, Ship of Gold" It can also be seen in numerous pictures in the book"Americas Lost Treasure" by Tommy Thompson, the man who led the recovery expedition. Purchased on ebay many years ago. Each lantern measures ~12.5 in tall(to top of ring) and ~8in across(at widest measurement) They are vintage and weathered. I am not sure of maker or age. But they look similar to Perko lanterns. The"Starboard" and"Port" wording are mostly gone, weathered away. Then lens of each is is good shape. The port lens, red, has someVERY minor superficial scratches in a small area, but no chips, cracks or other flaws that I can see. The starboard lens, green, has a few areas of"pits" but no obvious cracks or chips. The bottom pieces and burners of each are missing, as per the picture of one. Paypal only. Rare Vintage 1968 Nautical Ship Table Lamp. This Lamp is made of Solid Wood(appears to be walnut) It has an anchor attached to the front and uses Authentic Ship Hawser Anchor Rope. The shade is lined with real rope and depicts an art scene of a sailing vessel and a small row boat in the background. It is marked"Whaling bark- 1840" The lamp h as old fashioned green felt like surface protector pad on the bottom to protect the surface it is rested upon. This impressive well made lamp is of quality and craftsmanship you cannot find anymore. The lamp is in well preserved condition. Having little wear to the finish.
