Vintage Port/Starboard Brass Ships Lantern
For sale is a very unique item. This is a vintage circa early 1900's divided port and starboard red and green ships lantern. It measures 10 inches tall not counting the handle. With the handle it is 14 1/2 inches tall. Across the back it is 10 3/4 inches wide. Side measurements are 9 3/4 inches wide. The glass measures approx. 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 inches. I do believe it is brass as a magnet does not stick. It is an electric lantern with the original on/off switch. It is in very good original condition. This was found in Key West FL. Vintage All Original Perko Perkins Port & Starboard Lanterns with Burners
Offered is a pair of vintage Perko or Perkins(Miami. Florida) port and starboard lanterns in original condition. They are triangular in shape measuring 13” tall(16” including handle) approximately 11” across the curved front, and each side is 6” deep. Both lanterns have a wonderful patina consistent with age but do not appear to have been used… the burners and chimneys are clean, with original wicks. Each has a couple of minor dents and one of the chimneys has some wear at the top. Otherwise, condition is fabulous if, like me, you love this type of patina. Vintage Copper Hugh Douglas Meteorlite Port Side Ship Lantern
Up for sale is a Port Meteorlite Lamp 51750. There is a patent number 54657 stamped on a brass plaque soldered to the lamp. The dimensions of this historic ship lamp are about 23 inches high. 11 inches wide and 17 inches across the widest part. The nautical lamp is made of primarily of sheet copper with brass fittings. There is a red light filter that is removable that sits behind the glass. The Port Meteorite Lamp was made in Liverpool, England by Hugh Douglas, Walmsley, L'Pool, Sheet Iron Worker, Shipsmith, Boiler Maker, Tinsmith. A brass plate with this information is soldered to the front of the lantern. This lamp is in generally excellent condition. This is some patina. A few tiny dings and scratches, but presents very well and appears to be still 100% functional, though I did not put kerosene in the lamp tank to try it. The wick ... moreis in good condition and I have little doubt that it would not light right up if fuel was put in the tank. My father loved the sea and lived for many years near the water in Newport. Oregon. This lamp, along with a matching starboard lamp in another auction and a ship's compass/binnacle, were among the few things that he left behind when he died in 1998. I have no idea where he acquired them but he had them for a number of years. He used to prowl the ship dismantlers along the Willamette in Portland so maybe these came from there. I've held onto them until now. But I'm getting old and can't see that I'm going to do anything with them. This is a very heavy item at about 22lbs. Fedex shipping will be $30. Antique Vintage Red Bow Boat Light Mounted on Clamp Port Side Maritime Works
This is most likely considered an antique(50+ years old) The only stamp on it. Is on the"on switch" and it simply says, Made In USA" I bought it from an elderly man that was down-sizing. It was described as a"Red Bow" boat light. It's for the"port" side of the boat. It's battery operated and the stainless steel housing is in very good condition, having maybe 2 small"pit marks" The red plastic lens is also in great shape, having only 1 or 2"rub marks" The metal clamp is a flat colored metal and would clean up nicely, there is one small area of surface rust(1-2" on the inside, but the finish is smooth in that area so there is no structural damage, at all. The"turn screw" that tightens the clamp to the boat, is bent and could use a bit of straightening out. The light ... morestill works, I turned it on and took pictures of it, lit up. The light, itself, measures nearly 7" in length. The clamp's inside width is 2 5/8" It's a really great light. I've looked at a number of boat lights online and have yet to find a similar one. It would make a great addition to the collection of someone that collects maritime items!

Here is a great nautical set of large ship brass and copper lanterns for your buying consideration. Recently acquired them at an auction that a party's collection of marine/nautical items were being sold. We will have a number of these pieces for sale separately in our Ebay store. The lanterns would make a great gift or keep them for yourself. I would guess these lanterns are of World War II vintage. No maker marks or year made marks on the lanterns that I can ascertain. Great set of port(red) and starboard(green) brass ship lanterns for your decor needs. The lanterns were electrified at some point in the past. The lenses in each one are glass and not cracked or blistered. Each glass piece ... morewas caulked into each of the lanterns at some point in the past. The lantern cases are in good shape. Show some finish loss. The red lantern has the lip along the top of the lantern bent in and that bottom corner has a ding. The glass lens was not damaged there in either place. Each lantern is 14.25" tall. By 11.5" across, by 10.75" wide. I do not see a maker's mark on the lanterns. The brass tops screw off to access the inside of each lantern. Someone has put aluminum foil inside to get better reflection of the light thru to the lens. These were electric lanterns originally, but the light unit inside is certainly not the original one. The back piece that the lanterns would slide on to a bar are still in place. The cords are the lanterns are older, but still look to be in usable condition. I would recommend you have the cords and wiring checked out by a professional before using them from a safety perspective. This is a vintage bow light that is a bolt on unit and can be removed when not needed. It came in a box of fishing and hunting items. It's made in USA. I can't see a manufacturers name though. It has patent no. 2301714 on both sides. The internals look good. This wasn't stored with a battery in each side. So it's not all corroded or anything. The bulbs look clean and the parts look good, the inner housing have some light rust. The external parts show it's age. It could be cleaned up. But, I don't like to clean and shine old items, I would rather sell them as they come, as they look, and let the buyer decide. So, what it looks like is what it is. Vintage Boat Port Starboard Running Marker Lights NFL CO Nautical Marine Lamps
4-3/4" tall by 3-1/2" front to back or 4-1/2" diagonally. A wonderful set of lights in excellent condition with natural patina. The lenses are embossed with initials of the maker. Which was the National Marine Lamp Co. No dents, no heavy corrosion. The green oxidation on them could easily be removed leaving them with the beautiful patina, or the could be polished up to a brilliant brass like original. The fittings have surface oxidation, but are in excellent condition. The green lens has a small inconspicuous chip on one of the ribs near an edge as seen in last photo#12. There is old masking tape residue on the backs and bottoms. The previous owner put tape on a lot of things to protect from contact with other materials. These can be easily rewired. Each connection point has a set screw you tighten down on the wire lead, after ... moreinserting it in the proper hole. One of these set screws can be seen in photo#11. Vintage Very Large"Perko" Ship Lamps Port& Starboard Red& Green Fresnel Matched Pair Maritime Marine Boat Lamps/Lanterns Here's a matched pair of nautical lamps made by Perko of Perkins Marine Lamp& Hardware Corp. Brooklyn N.Y. U.S.A. The red and green fresnel lenses are in excellent conditions with some great bubbles from when the glass was formed. They are made of galvanized sheet metal with brass or copper tops and openings on the bottom. The galvanized metal is very solid with very little areas of surface rust. nothing major. These are original vintage Lamps dating from somewhere between the 1930's to the 60's based on their websites timeline. Actual manufacture date is unknown. The lamps are 18" tall. 22" tall with the handle extended, 10" wide and 18" across the front. I purchased ... morethese lamps 28 years ago with the intention of wiring them. They've been carefully stored indoors waiting for the project to begin. I never got around to wiring them. It's time to pass them along to a new owner. Bulbs and wiring or burners are not included. Lighted Bulbs were placed inside the lamps temporarily for photographic purposes to show how the lamps may look when illuminated. The gas burners weren't with them when I acquired them. These lamps would look great mounted at a pier. Dock or a boathouse. was initially known as Perkins Marine Lamp. Inc. The original focus was on the manufacture of hand formed sheet metal products for the marine market. The first catalog was published in 1916, with a product line as diverse for its time as PERKO's catalog is today. Large Antique Nautical Lantern Vintage 5-way Green Ship Lamp Port& Starboard Used- Antique Nautical Lantern This lantern has some discoloration around glass and on seams. Pictures reflect a bent spot along one of the upper seams. Approximate size is 14.5" tall including carry handle by 9" wide. This lantern has NOT been converted to an electrical light. I have included the lighted pictures so you can see the brilliance of the green glass. Glass does not have any cracks or major scratches in them. The glass does not have any marks in the glass, other than what appears to be consistent with how glass was made during that time. I do not know the exact age of this lantern. However it is the only one I have seen with 5 semi-globe sections. I was going to convert this Kerosene/oil lamp into a lighted lamp and clean it up for my nautical ... morethemed room, but never got around to it. I now am moving and liquidating some of my stuff. I did pay quit a bit for this lamp due to its unusualness and size, however I am willing to take any reasonable offers. This would be a great old kerosene o conversion lantern to put in a parlor, back porch, sitting room or make great lighting for movie night. I prefer the green over your normal red port lights because it is a little softer and not as aggressive in nature depending on your usage or if you decide to use it for a child's night lantern for sleeping. These are galvanized lanterns with brass trim and top ring. They are each 8" tall to the top of the ring. And 5" across at the base. I don't know anything about these as they were found in an estate clean out. I was told they are Perko lamps but found no markings- please do your own homework. Both look to have been rewired based on the 12v sticker inside. Now they have 110v wiring, one is missing a plug. Look to be made out of brass and galvanized, and the exterior of the galvanized is painted a flat black. Both lenses appear to be in great shape and are stamped'Perkins C/L 3 Side' and'FIC259 Mould No 3' They are approx 12" x 6" x 6" each and weigh about 3 3/4 lbs each. Gorgeous Port Light Lantern. Lantern measures approx. 10 inches tall(not counting the pail 3.5" type handle) by 7 inches wide by 6 inches deep. I have sold a half dozen nautical lamps and this is by far the fairest of them all.inside 7 out. It has a beautiful patina. Only one very small dent, no scratching or chips. There are two layers of curved glass.the exterior glass(Barcelona Glass) is clear and a red internal curved piece. Both pieces excellent.no chips or cracks There is an opening. Surrounded by a rubber gasket, going into the lamp. Not sure what it is for, maybe a lead light. I placed a small light in the body to show what this lamp can look like. Could be electrified quite easily with the hole already there. Great looking lamp. Would look great all lit up out on a boat dock. By the pool or on a patio. We had these on display and have moved to a much smaller home and just don't have the room for them anymore. They make a great display and conservation piece. The gentleman we bought these from is a member of the Corps of Engineers and gave us this information about the lights. They are off of a riverboat that was over 100 years old and its home was on the Cumberland River. They scuttled the boat in the 90's to make it a home for fish(a fishing reef) He saved them for himself prior and used them as display. Up for sale a vintage copper& brass maritime ship lamp with a green glass globe. The majority of the metal is copper although the back may be brass. And the plate is brass. This is a full red glass globe. The case is 14 inches tall measuring to the top of the handle,the round portion with the globe is 8 inches in diameter and the base portion is 8 1/2 by 8 1/2 inches square. This has been wired so the light is in good working order. There is a brass plate on the outside(pictured) it shows Port Round Red. Vintage (Possibly Antique) Pair Brass Port & Starboard Marine Boat Oil Lanterns
Very nice pair of brass port and starboard oil lamps. I dont see any markings on either of them. May or may not be antique. Would look great cleaned up. I have not used them so cannot 100% guarantee that they work. Wicks look good. And move up and down. I do not see any holes in oil containers. Red coloring is flaking off of the port lantern. Bottom of starboard lantern is dented. Both have soldering. Please see the photos for exact item and condition.
