Lantern Measures 13 inches tall by 7 inches wide(approx) I believe it is Brass but it has been painted with nautical paint. There are paint specs on the glass, but it may be possible to clean them off. Condition– Good Cosmetic Condition for a Vintage Used Lantern- Paint spots as referred to above. They are visible in the photos. Very hard to see without really looking. The chip on the green lens is on the third rib from the top and the red one is on the bottom rib. It is made out of brass and has one side with green ribbed glass and the other side with red ribbed glass. There is also a divider made of brass that separates the two colors from view of passing ships on the high seas(sometimes seen missing or damaged on other lights) The brass has a nice patina from many decades of life. There is a decent size dent on the slightly-domed top(please see photos) The side of the light is marked with Perko's logo and company info. Being made in Brooklyn,NY. My guess as to age would be from around the 1930s or 40s. It could be even earlier-back into the 20s or so- but I'm not certain. The glass is in good condition. With no major breaks, cracks or scratches. ... morethere is normal wear consistent with age on both red and green glass(in the center particularly- please see photo) Also. Each of the red and green also have a very small chip in one of the thin ribs that runs laterally across the glass. The diameter measures 3/8 inches. The diameter of the glass ball lens measures 1 1/2 inches. The glass has no cracks or chips. There is a bulb inside that has not been tested. I have not taken it a part. The original cloth cover wire extends from the bottom. There is no damage to the brass pole. I do not know exactly what this came off. Very nice as found unrestored antique. From a fresh water location. Appears unmolested. I see no chips in the glass. The glass has a sealer of some type maybe caulking. The chrome has some pitting but would probably polish up pretty nicely. I have not tried to remove the bulb socket- it looks like it needs a good cleaning. You are buying AS IS. For bid is the Old Nautical Lot pictured. There is a new Perko replacement plastic anchor light cover and a used one. There is a pedestal anchor light with cracks in the cap& a used cap. This one has holes for a flag(approx. 5 1/2" gap) There is a transom light with wear that did light 12V. There is a chrome plated brass gas cap with chain(1 3/4" across at threads) Last are 4 flag holders with different angles and hole sizes. One is marked Perko. It is a flush angle mount that someone drilled drain holes in the base. The hole size is just under 1 1/4" The other is a straight flush mount with a 1" hole. The straight outside hole is approx. 1" and the angled outside holder is also approx. 1" Most items will need re-chroming for actual use. Buyer pays actual shipping by weight(5 lbs. and location.

Vintage Copper PERKO Nautical Ship Lantern Electrical Marine Light Gulf Oil
This 16 1/4" tall electric lantern with an all original patina and toggle switch is from the estate of Howard Craven. He was a ship captain for the Gulf Oil Company until he retired in the early 1950's. When he then took up painting ships with oil on canvas. His father was also a ship captain, so I'm not sure which one used this lantern. It is all copper than I can see. It would be beautiful polished up, but I chose to leave it as is for those of you that would prefer it in it's original condition. 2- Vintage copper Perko Perkins Marine Barge Lamp Nautical Light Lanterns. Lanterns have clear glass and measure just over 13 inches from the bottom to the top of the handles. They are about 9 1/2 inches to the outside of each bracket mounted on the side of the lights. It looks like the screws in the handle on one of the lights has been replaced with new brass screws. The clear glass does have some small flea bites chips you can feel if you rub your finger around each edge of the rippled glass. It only appears that the lids or tops are copper or brass. Comes with free shipping. We were told these were used in a boat used to push barges up and down the Mississippi River. If you have any questions please ask and we will get back with you.

I don't know anything about these as they were found in an estate clean out. I was told they are Perko lamps but found no markings- please do your own homework. Both look to have been rewired based on the 12v sticker inside. Now they have 110v wiring, one is missing a plug. Look to be made out of brass and galvanized, and the exterior of the galvanized is painted a flat black. Both lenses appear to be in great shape and are stamped'Perkins C/L 3 Side' and'FIC259 Mould No 3' They are approx 12" x 6" x 6" each and weigh about 3 3/4 lbs each. Fantastic vintage Perko Mast glass threaded globe. 3" diameter fresnel ball globe. Bee hive shape. Clear glass. A few small chips to the bottom threaded cut edge of the glass globe, seen in pictures. No chips to the outer bee hive circular edges. A small amount of shallow surface scratches, that do not show much in the pictures. No damage to the glass is visible when threaded to the metal base. This Perko Mast glass globe light cover is in great vintage condition.

There is a partial interior gasket photo 9 that could be replaced or not. Needs a bulb has wiring. Lens rear rim that faces the back is partial not cracked and fits well. Nice winged type design. Very heavy I believe bronze/brass chromed over. The top of the lens reads 186-P.
