Excellent condition Rare antique copper and brass ships lantern from the south Texas coast. Lantern was made by the R. L. MURRAY& Co. LIMITED. Pollockshaws Rd, Glascow S. 1. Also marked LAMPADS NO. 260 on another plaque. 1 other plaque is marked NOT UNDER COMMAND and the plaque below it reads S.A.R- S.A.S. The main body measures 13 inches tall by 11 inches across. Has both an upper and lower arm to allow it to swing with the ships movement. It has been electrified several and light up with a soft amber glow as shown in picture. Cord has an on/off switch built into the line. Super conversation piece for that man cave. Has been lightly scratched around screw near top edge as shown. Heavy item that will weigh 29- 30 pounds packaged.

Vintage 1950's Nautical Lighting Fixture, Cut Clear Glass Patter Dome Cover
DESCRIPTION This Vintage 1950's Nautical Lighting Fixture is heavy weighting in at almost 8lbs. But is beautiful and would make the perfect light fixture for any nautical themed decor. It has a hinged opening with a single buld fixture inside. It is in very good condition for it's vintage age with minimal dings or marks, it has not been tested to see if it works. It has some natural patina here and there and could probably use a cleaning but that decision is left up to the new owner to make. It measures aproximatley 13" in diameter is about 5" from the base to the outer tip of the dome cover and the base of the light fixture is about 2" deep. Vintage Rare Adlake Maritime Nautical Aluminum Electric Bridge Lamp No 1335. It has the red and green 60° draw span. Two green lenses and two red lenses 90° apart. The top and bottom caps are made of aluminum the bolts and stretchers between the lenses are made of cast-iron. It is electrified and it does work but I would recommend rewiring it just to be on the safe side. There is some rust and paint loss and it needs to be cleaned. The lenses are thick and heavy, made by Corning. The lenses have some chips but they are not cracked. It is about 11 1/2 inches tall and 8 1/2 inches wide. It is heavy about 16 1/2 pounds after it's packaged so shipping will be expensive I will try to ship the item as economical as possible. Please review all photos for item condition before bidding. These lights measure about 9 1/2 inches tall and not counting the wall mount they are about 4 inches wide. When mounted to the wall. They will extend out from the wall by about 7 inches. The wall mount has two mount holes and will require a mounting surface that is about 3 inches wide and about 1/2 inches tall. Originally the power source for these lights came ... morefrom two conduits that connected into the back side of the light. We installed two copper caps in the original conduit holes and added the 90 degree elbow and short brass pipe on the top. The elbow and the brass pipe we added allows all the wiring to be 100% hidden from sight. You can install a plate cover over your existing junction box and drill a hole that will allow the conduit pipe to enter your junction box. Next step is to screw the light to your cover plate and you are done. Also, the new pipe we installed can be cut flush with the wall mount, and the light can be installed right to the wall with no junction box. If you want the pipe cut, just tell us and will cut it flush before the lights are shipped. The globes are glass and in good condition. Each light weighs almost 3/12 pounds. You can access the bulb area by unscrewing the cage and then unscrewing the glass globe. The glass is undamaged, but could use some additional cleaning. The cage and the glass globe drops right out. And is in excellent condition for its age. Since there is a small light bulb installed in the oil lamp, I am also including the original oil burner for the starboard lamp. Here's an old vintage what I think is a ships passage way light that was movable with the handle and one hook. Found at an estate sale in Newport Bch buried in the garage. I have not touched it. I can see there is still a light bulb inside. Don't know if it works or not. This has a Red lens and needs to be cleaned up or not. Also has a wood handle, can't find any others that have that. Out of the handle is whats left of the wire cord. This has been around and shows wear and tear but is really cool looking. Its about 12" from handle to top and about 5" at its widest point. Vintage Wm Porter's Sons Co Marine Ships Lantern Nautical Clear - RARE!!!!
Offered for auction is a very rare marine/ ships lantern. Bow light or Dock lantern. Made by the Wm Porter's Sons Co. Probably in the mid-to-late 1800. Wm. Porter was a long-time naval/navy man. In 1823. At the age of 12, he signed on as a midshipman on his uncle's ship, the Franklin. 11 years later he was commissioned as a lieutenant. From 1838 to 1840 he served as lighthouse inspector on the east coast. Ultimately he reached the rank of Commodore in the US Navy and commanded the USS St, Mary's and the USS Essex In 1942 the destroyer William D. Porter was named in his honor. Originally an oil lamp. Up for bids we have a large vintage marine searchlight. I was told it came from a great lakes freighter. But I have no way of confirming. It measures 15" in dia. by 20" tall. The glass is intact and it has a large porcelain fixture on the inside. Original condition, no repairs. I couldn't find a name on it. The shroud will be removed for shipping. These lamps measure 9 1/2 x 6. They have never been used and still have the wall attatching hardware in bags. They are stamped Hong Kong on the bottoms. The lenses are hard plastic. One has a small dent at the bottom. The oil cans are complete and i cannot unscrew them(i left it alone so not to damage them.The surfaces of the lamps have their original patina that i only wiped off with a damp rag.
