Maritime Navigational Lanterns.The main housing is constructed of galvanized iron and ... morethe top cover is copper. However they have not been shined up. The original manufacturer was Wilcox& Crittenden& Co. There trademark was Capital W with a Capital C embossed on top of one another. The factory was in Middletown, CONN. USA. There is a photo of the Logo which appears to be embossed on brass, it is on the side, located on top of a metal sleeve, which is riveted on the lantern itself. This sleeve must have been used to slip over something to hold it secure to the ship. Both sleeves are intact and extremely secure. This embossing is very difficult to capture in a photo as the glare, and clarity of a photo so close. The lanterns stand just shy of 13" tall with the hanging loop standing up. They are made to fit in a corner. The sides measure 5" With the front curving around to meet the 2 sides. The glass itself is 5" tall and is almost 90 degrees. One lantern has fresnel green glass for the starboard, and the lantern with the fresnel red glass is for the port. The glass on both lanterns is in very good shape and have no cracks or chips. The metal round accesses to the oil chambers/wicks are both present and appear tight when screwed in. The wick chambers need cleaning, but seem to work, and even have wick left in them! We didn't attempt to light them, but knowing something about oil lanterns, don't see any reason they wouldn't work, however this isn't a guarantee. just presenting things honestly. The metal. Nowhere, on either lantern shows any sign of rust. However they are a brown color. Paint appears to be old, in some places chipping, or peeling off. There are the usual signs of true usage. Wear and tear. Overall appear to be in very good shape. I have not checked them for leakage, however on inspection, I don't see any reason they would leak. I have no idea how old they are. T his Rare Vintage Bedford Whaler Flying Cloud Clipper Sailing Ship Table Lamp Light is in good working condition! It shows signs of wear from normal use. It has a lot of character and is a little bit dusty! The canvas sails are firm. The hull is wooden, and some of the rigging frayed or missing. It looks like a ship with a great story! I am selling a unique working vintage brass nautical passage light with red glass. It measures 15" from the top of the brass hook to the bottom brass hook and 4 1/2" wide. It has a 15 ft cord and slightly shorter chain. The chain links are separated near the top- see photo and wrapped around the cord near the bottom- could be reattached with pliers. This lamp would make a great addition for any nautical decor room or restaurant. This lamp measures 21" tall up to the top of the light bulb socket. It measures 7 and 1/2" across at the bottom. The top light socket is in perfect working condition. It turns on and off perfectly. There is a smaller light bulb in the center of the glass. During the days of televisions inside decorative cabinets that also served as an elegant piece of furnature. Sat on top of gramp's beloved American made Magnavox tube television long before the days of wall-mounted LCD's. Measures 12 1/2" tall x 11" long x 2 3/4" wide at widest point(base) Weighs almost 2 lbs. Lamp is in good working condition. Newer electrical wiring/cord. Uses a Christmas light bulb. Which unscrews from the back for replacement. Currently features a blue bulb. I have no idea how old the bulb might be or how much longer it will work before replacement. The chrome on the ship shows age- pitting and rust spots- which is why I am starting the bid at $9.99. ... moreSome of this tarnish may clean-up with either chrome cleaner or by using aluminum foil with a little water. This is a very unique Maritime item. It's brass light with 4 sided glass. They had filaments of green and red. Port and Starboard are on the light. As you can see the colors had brittle. This light was converted to an indoor display light but it still has the original three sockets if someone wants to return it to its original use as a nautical light. Either way this nautical light will display well. New/Used: Used. Approximate Dimensions in Inches- Length: 10” Diameter: 5 ½” Condition: Very good. The previous owner converted it to an indoor display light. The only two things we did were clean/inspect the glass lens and replacing the light cord. Which was defective. There is some corrosion and oxidation on the original three light sockets. The lens is intact with the exception of a crack near the new light bulb that was added. Vintage PERKO Nautical Navigation Light w/ selector. Displays red. Green or white lamps. Operational. 7 1/4" dia. and 5 1/2" h. Glass dome is 2 7/8" dia. and 3" h.approx. Requires(2) D batteries. Not included. For use on a small boat. Made of tin(I believe) it appears similar to a film canister. The metal body has mostly minor surface rust with a small hole on the underside. The aged, dark patina is a little rough. There is an"on-off" toggle switch located on the side. The glass dome reads"PERKO" and is clear, clean and in good shape, except for two very small, almost un-noticeable chips close together on the edge where it screws onto the base. The wired controller has three buttons, labeled Red, Green and White for selecting the lights individually, or all of the three other lamps at once, for maximum ... morebrightness. One lamp is always lit. The four bulbs appear to be original and have lost some of their colored tinting. Only one of the four sockets does not seem to work. Also, I have improvised a small flat piece of metal where the battery holder has corroded to provide a completed circuit so that the lamps will light up.

This is the real deal and it was used. Someone at some point of time made it electrical light. The glass has a few chips in the extremely thick glass. There is a couple small dents. But you can't hardly tell with the colors of the lantern. This lantern is unmarked. It is very solid and well made. I don't know who they are, or what that stands for, I don't know much about this, it was purchased at a flea market by my mother 10-15yrs ago. Rare Vintage NY & NJ Port Authority Red Lamp Light Beacon Nautical Airports
For auction is a rare Light/Lamp/Beacon. From the New York and New Jersey Port Authority. It's used but in great shape and DOES WORK! I tested it with a 6 volt battery, but its probably designed for a 9 or 12. I'm not sure what this was for exactly, but some kind of signal, possibly for a port, an airport, or one of the bridges/tunnels. It's all steel, and has a glass globe on top with a red plastic insert. It measures 8 inches long, 4 3/4 inches wide, and about 12 inches tall including the globe. It's made tough, weighing 8 pounds. It has a toggle switch on the top. It doesn't blink but does turn on steady. It's supposed to blink but there may be a wiring error or an issue with the relay. There is also some rust on the bottom of the battery box but no holes. These are obsolete and acquired legally. May have had a thin brass coating at one time. 12" red glass lens is in great shape and is pebbled inside. Entire light measures 23" tall and is 15" front to back. There are three large clip hinges that hold the lens rim in place. At the top of the light you can see the two small stationary hinges(one is broken) so that the lens and trim ring can be lifted up but remain attached. Even though one of these is broken. The lens and trim ring are held securely by not only the remaining hinge but the three much larger ... moresnap hinges at the top and sides of the light. The light has an iron base with four big screws for mounting. There used to be a mercury glass reflector that fit the back of the light's interior. Only shards of it were left when I found this light. The gentlemen I purchased it from said his mother had aluminum foil inside for a reflector. She had it mounted on their boat dock and they used it to find their way home. The light has a long industrial electric cord on it and works great(see pics) Light has a great look! They don't make them like this anymore! I have not attempted to clean or polish the brass housing. But with a bit of elbow grease, it would probably shine up. Weighs 24 pounds unboxed. Vintage Light 1930-40s NAUTICAL Maritime Copper SHIP WHEEL Glass Ceiling Fixture
zipedit] Description• This is a fantastic vintage 1930-40's era Nautical Maritime ceiling light fixture. The thick pressed glass shade has a soft pink finish with clear glass sailboats and anchors. The clear glass rim has a rope design and the bottom has a fabulous starburst sunburst compass pattern. The ceiling canopy has been refinished and has a copper colored metal ships wheel cover attached to a clear pressed glass telescope. The fixture has also been refinished and uses 3 bead chains that hold and suspend the shade. It has been completely rewired with a new porcelain socket and wiring. The glass shade measure 10.25" wide and is in excellent vintage condition with no chips. Cracks or loss of finish. It hangs 9" from ceiling to bottom of the shade and can be adjusted slightly higher or lower with the chains. Commonly referred to a Bulkhead Lights in the shipyards. This is a vintage lights that we have recovered. Restored, and refitted with the wall mount arm. It is made of solid cast brass material. Each light weighs about 3 1/2 pounds. The wall mount is just over 4 inches wide and has four mount holes. From the top of the wall mount to the bottom of the cage area, each light measures about 9 inches tall. To access the bulb area, you spin off the brass cage and the undamaged glass globe drops out. We have installed a new bulb holder and wiring in each light that is UL-Listed and made by Westinghouse Electric. The bulb holder takes a normal screw in house bulb of 50 watts or less.
