Here is a brass oil lamp marked made in England as it the burner it looks to be in very good condition. It may be off of a ship or train. It has a bracket to mount it to a bulkhead or a wall that is with it. Just mount the bracket to the bulkhead or wall and the lamp just slides into the bracket so it can removed to refuel the light. You can also just remove the burner and tank to refuel the lamp.The lamp is approximately 12" tall by 4 3/4" deep by 6 5/8"wide. Please look at the pictures as they are part of the description. You are bidding on a beautiful vintage copper and brass TUNG WOO L-751 nautical ships oil lantern. It has the clear outer glass with the red insert glass. The red signaled other ships that the Captain was not aboard-therefore a NOT UNDER COMMAND lantern. The clear chimney on the inner oil lamp is cracked but that glass can be replaced. The more important outer clear and inner red are nice. The line in the red glass is not a crack-it is lead that has run down the glass! There is no rust or damage to this beautiful and large lantern other than mentioned. This is one of the nicest I have seen! This lantern weighs over 7 pounds.Stands a bit over 13" tall and 16" with the handle up.It is about 7" wide at the base.

The main body measures 14 inches tall by 10 inches across. Has both an upper and lower arm to allow it to swing with the ships movement. It was electrified several with 16/3 wiring but it does not light up at this time. Pops a breaker so it it probably in the on/off switch built into the long electrical cord. Up for sale is a beautiful pair of old brass maritime oil lantern that is signed"Wedge. These are really fine old lanterns. And very well made. The rivets are copper. There is glass on all four sides behind the grates. One side is a door that opens via a little latch. This lantern measures about 15" tall by 6 3/4" by 6 3/4" with the handle up they measure 22 1/2" The brass has a beautiful, aged patina and the glass is free of any chips or cracks. The wick is still intact. They are in excellent condition with no dents or damage. A very nice and highly collectable pair of lanterns!

It exposes the inner lantern with chimney. This lantern can be removed by pulling up on the 2 brass handles in opposite corners. The wick is in good condition and can be used. In the main lantern housing. There are 4 panes of glass that fit into a track and are removable for cleaning. There are a few chips in the bottom of this glass but they do not show from the outside. In 1823. At the age of 12, he signed on as a midshipman on his uncle's ship, the Franklin. 11 years later he was commissioned as a lieutenant. From 1838 to 1840 he served as lighthouse inspector on the east coast. I was told that it is extremely rare to see a Bakboord piece designed as an electric table lamp. The condition is excellent for its age. With the only noticable wear being on the wooden base. Measures 10" tall with top loop standing up straight and approximately 4.5 inches at it's widest point. Classic design. Heavy thick brass. Bottom unscrews where oil and wick can be placed. It appears to be complete with burner and glass chimney. The hinges need to be soldered(they are barely hanging on) There are gray paint splatters on the lantern and plenty of patina. It has a place on the back for wall mount(I think) The handle is bent and dented but the lantern itself is in pretty good condition. Vintage Nautical Weighted Oil Lamp, Gimbal-Mount Brass Boat Lantern w/ Chimney
Antique Brass Ship's Oil Lantern. Looks like it was never used. Very nice condition; only one small dent in the wick assembly. And that can probably be pushed back from behind the guard very easily. There is no maker's mark or logo on the lamp. But there is an"RV" and an anchor on the wick turn knob. The glass chimney appears to be original to the lamp. Dimensions: 12 7/8" overall. 5 3/4" from back of mounting plate for the gimbal to the outside of the lamp. Chimney measures 6 7/8" in height and is 3 1/4" in diameter, the lamp body measures 7 1/2" tall and is 3 1/2" in diameter and 4 1/4" total width including the gimbal mounting pins that project 3/8" from either side of the lamp body. Vintage Copper PERKO Nautical Ship Lantern Electrical Marine Light Gulf Oil
This 16 1/4" tall electric lantern with an all original patina and toggle switch is from the estate of Howard Craven. He was a ship captain for the Gulf Oil Company until he retired in the early 1950's. When he then took up painting ships with oil on canvas. His father was also a ship captain, so I'm not sure which one used this lantern. It is all copper than I can see. It would be beautiful polished up, but I chose to leave it as is for those of you that would prefer it in it's original condition. It has what looks like original inner parts, wires, etc. see pictures) I have not tested to see if it works. I prefer not to challenge things like this since I know nothing of how they work. Vintage Marine Ship Navigation Light Nautical Maritime Lantern Clear Boat WW II
My husband is organizing his shop and parting with quite a few items. Here is one of those items and his description of it: Maybe a good Christmas gift for the nautical collector in your life? Vintage marine ship’s iron navigation light. 180 degree clear glass Fresnel lens Navy? WWII? I picked this up at an estate sale and planned to use it as yard lighting. Turned out it did not fit the landscape plan. This is a large ships navigation light. Either for the stern(showing white two points abaft of the beam, starboard and port) or masthead light(forward, showing two points abaft of beam, both starboard and port) This shows a bit of light surface rust in spots. The result of years at sea. There is no internal mounting or wiring for a bulb, but that could be easily designed and installed. The gasket around the hinged lid is missing, but could ... morebe replaced with some type of weather-stripping. There are two small chips in the Fresnel lens, as shown in the photo. These should not affect the durability of the lens. You can see the imperfections in the lens from the glass casting process, as sign of its age. This stands 11 ½ inches tall. 8 inches in diameter(across) 9 inches across the top latch and hinge. The Fresnel lens is full width and 7 inches high. The base is round with“bayonet” mounting slots and is 5 ¾ inches outside and 5 3/16 inch inside diameter. The lid is held closed by a hinge on one side and thumb bolt on the other. The lid swings open freely. This is how I found it, I only cleaned the lens to confirm no other damage. I put a light inside it to show what it looks like illuminated for the pictures. The light does not come with this piece of marine hardware. As many ships navigation lights are made of brass or bronze. I can’t help to wonder if this was from a WWII ship, a time when these metals were in short supply and needed for munitions manufacture for the war effort. Made in England by The Viking Co. Operates on oil. Hand crafted late 1900's or early 1900. Is in excellent and original condition. Not polished or fooled with. Has natural and great Patina. Is 6 inches square. Not counting protrusions on sides. Is 15 inches tall, not counting handle. Oval emblem on front reads Viking and has their trademark. All brass and glass. In great condition.
