Vintage National Marine Company combination bow lantern. We are very pleased to be able to offer for your consideration this wonderful piece of vintage maritime/nautical hardware. This early style kerosene burner combination navigation light with Fresnel lenses made by the National Marine Lamp Co. of New York. This lamp was made prior to 1912 since after that date National Maritime were marked with a patent date of 1912 or used the trade name“Triplex” This is an early example since the company was founded in 1906. This lamp is most suitable for someone seeking this shielded design of which only a few have survived. It has a great deal of character and a wonderfully warm patina. THE MAKER: National Marine Lamp Co. According to Anthony Hobson's Lanterns that Lit our World, Book 2 was started in 1906 operating from Pear St. in New York City. ... moreIt brought the burner shop Bristol Brass in Forestville, CT in 1911. National Marine bought from Bristol Brass, so similarities in the products are to be expected. Later National Marine absorbed a company called American Lamp and Brass, according to Hobson, but the"American" name died with the acquisition. Fredrick Perkins became president of National in 1913. Frederick and his son Louis left that company in 1916 and moved back to Brooklyn, New York where they started Perkins Marine Lamp Corporation so there is a lot of lamp history in this early lamp. This lantern measures approximately 11 inches wide. 10 inches tall, and 8 1/2 inches front to back. This lantern weighs approximately 4.75 pounds Condition- This awesome combination bow lantern is in very nice condition. It has developed a wonderful patina over the years, but could be polished to a high shine if desired. Pair Vintage Copper Brass NEPTUNE NR Ship Lantern Lamp Nautical Maritime Cage NR
This auction is for a pair of vintage NEPTUNE NR copper and brass ship oil lamp lanterns. These lamps are in EXCELLENT estate found condition with a stunning and even patina. They are beautifully crafted from copper and brass and secured with a chain and hook in the front. These lanterns both have a badge at the top with the Neptune hallmark and NR. All of the glass is in beautiful condition(with the exception of some dust from being displayed) The globe inside is also in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. The oil lamp inside is secured to a metal wire that stays in place by sliding down two opposing corners inside. And sits very securely inside with no wobble. I do not know the age of the lanterns, and have seen only a few similar, but most of then have all brass cages(die to the reddish tint I do believe this is mostly copper) ... moreor have been polished. None have been found also with this exact badge in the same place and this stunning copper patina with the reddish copper undertones that almost glow through. This has not been cleaned or polished, but I'm sure would polish up nicely if the buyer wishes to do so. Each lantern stands 15"high without handle, and 17 1/2" tall with handle, by approx 7"wide. Williams-Page maritime or ships lanterns lantern vintage
Up for auction are two great maritime or ships lanterns made by the Williams-Page manufacturing co. of Boston Mass.I believe this co. dates from around 1870's or 1880's to early 1900's and made ship and railroad lanterns.One says port the other starboard.Both are the way I found them with great patina to the copper and brass.The thick clear glass lens has a few chips which I tried to photograph and a crack about an inch or two long but not very noticeable and still very sturdy.Both red and green lenses are in very good condition.Long ago someone electrified them by making a round wood base and attaching an old porcelain fixture and light bulb.See pictures.Both of these antique maritime lanterns have a super look and are in real good condition considering there age.Measurements: about 20.5 high 26"high with brass handles up ... moreand they weigh approximately 23lbs. each.Being sold with no reserve and very reasonably priced for these two rare beauties.Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.

Boat or Dock Light* This is a vintage maritime nautical Fresnel Lens Lamp that was previously being used as a dock light in Austoria. Oregon on Oregon's North Coast. It appears to be brass or copper metal(do not know if solid or plate) It has a glass fresnel lens. It measures approximately 7 1/2" tall to top of hanger and 4 1/2" in diameter at the base. It is wired to take a standard electric light bulb. The metal top and bottom attach to fresnel lens with thumb set screws. It is as found and well weathered from years of use although it is still functional. We have not cleaned the metal or glass and there are deposits from the elements on both the metal and glass. It could probably be cleaned up but wanted to leave it with ... moreits original weahered look. Other than the the weathering from the elements it is in good vintage condition and the glass fresnel lens does not have any cracks or chips. I found this at an estate sale I am not sure if its vintage. It has been made into a light to hang or clip on something. I think it might have been copper at one time. It is rusty. The light does work it is a bulb that flickers like candle. The cord comes out the bottom and does not sit level. All it says on it is starboard.Please check out all the pictures. Vintage nautical Ship sconces lights Maritime Heavy Glass Brass Rare Beautiful
A very rare and beautiful pair of brass ship nautical Wall sconces. They could have been originally oil lights and converted to electric but I have no idea. They are made of heavy brass roughly 8lbs each with heavy steel bases. They are roughly 15 1/2" straightened up. The base or wall mount is 5 1/2" round as the same as the heavy glass bowl beneath the light. They are both are made to move which ever position you desire sideways. Up, down, etc. Just loosen the bolt and retighten. There is one bolt missing and there was another replaced. They are in exceptional condition with no breaks or repairs. As you can see in my picture the wall mount bases there is a slight discoloration which is very hard to see. The glass is very thick and it looks like one is a shade darker than the other and possibly one is greenish and the other is ... morereddish or darker green. They are both the same shape as also the lamps. They are identical. Don't know if because of the light over the years made one a bit darker than the other. Very hard to find these nautical sconces. They also have benefits" In each lantern, their are two compartments, and upper and a lower. One lantern which has two green lenses on the top and bottom is called the side light. Their are metal name tags on each one indicating their use. Serial number and etc. which verfies its authencity. They both have light sockets mounted ... morein the upper and lower chambers of the lanterns which make these beautiful lanterns usable. See the pictures for an example of this. The other lantern has an upper and lower chamber with clear lenses with light sockets installed in both chambers as well and this one according to its name plate is the Stern light. You can use these inside as lamps or outside as lamps since they are airtight. They are over just 18 inches tall and almost 10 inches wide. Everything on these two unique and extremely rare lanterns are operatable. Every screw and bolt does what it should. The white stuff you see in the pictures is, I'm guessing is someone at one time, tried to use brass cleaner and did a bad job. I would personally leave them the way they are, but if you want to clean them up, they should shine like the sun. In order to use them. All you will have to do is add light bulbs and a power cord to the fixtures. It's easy, I gave you a demonstration in the pictures. Large Vintage Copper& Brass Nautical Neptune Maritime Oil Lamp Lantern This large vintage Neptune nautical oil lamp is crafted of copper& brass. The outer housing is copper& the interior is lined in brass. With a brass lamp. The top is hinged& clasped with a chained hook. The lamp lifts out on two brass arms that extend to the top of the lamp. The interior lamp is complete& functioning. All glass is fine& the lamp displays very nicely. There is some slight age greening to the copper& one small dent on the back of the frame. Next to the window. It measures 14.5" tall excluding the handle& 18.5" tall including the handle by 9" wide, including the brass hanging brackets by 6" wide. VINTAGE MARINE MARITIME BOAT BRASS SPOT LIGHT
This is a brass spot light off of a Columbia River Gillnet boat that is very unique as it is a vintage 12 volt light that is very rare. The lens says'Per Lux 200T' it belonged to a friend of mine who could not tell me the vintage only that it was"OLD" He has used it for many years long ago on his commercial fishing vessel. I do not know if the bulb lights or not as I don not have a 12v system to plug into. Either way it would make a great piece to add to your nautical collection. The light sits on top of what appears to be an aluminum stand in the shape of a ships wheel. Shipping within the Continental US. Is a flat rate $10.00, any other location please contact for a quote. Vintage Electric Maritime Boat Ship Light Red Nautical Glass Lens Brass Works
This is a Vintage Nautical Ship Maritime Red Lens Electric Boat Lamp It does work. The red paint is chipping. The Brass housing for the lamp is not damaged. It is about 9 inches tall and is 5.25 inches across at the bottom. There is no damage to the cord. The bolt top(nut) to a post is missing. It looks like a post has been replaced. Gorgeous estate found vintage captains table or wall brass oil lamp.I am not an expert but this is a wonderful maritime collectible that I believe is hard to find. Especially in this nice condition. The solid brass base measures about 7.5" tall and 4" wide at the base.it features a handle that also can be mounted to a wall; an oval plaque on one side reading E.S. SORENSEN KOBENHAVN DANMARK.5842. It is incised on the bottom SCANTIME DENMARK. Additionally. It looks to have been in use and in good working order as far as the wick moving up and down.
