Antique Vintage Red Bow Boat Light Mounted on Clamp Port Side Maritime Works
This is most likely considered an antique(50+ years old) The only stamp on it. Is on the"on switch" and it simply says, Made In USA" I bought it from an elderly man that was down-sizing. It was described as a"Red Bow" boat light. It's for the"port" side of the boat. It's battery operated and the stainless steel housing is in very good condition, having maybe 2 small"pit marks" The red plastic lens is also in great shape, having only 1 or 2"rub marks" The metal clamp is a flat colored metal and would clean up nicely, there is one small area of surface rust(1-2" on the inside, but the finish is smooth in that area so there is no structural damage, at all. The"turn screw" that tightens the clamp to the boat, is bent and could use a bit of straightening out. The light ... morestill works, I turned it on and took pictures of it, lit up. The light, itself, measures nearly 7" in length. The clamp's inside width is 2 5/8" It's a really great light. I've looked at a number of boat lights online and have yet to find a similar one. It would make a great addition to the collection of someone that collects maritime items!

Vintage bow light 1964-65
This bow light was on a 1964-65 Winner Seville fiberglass boat. It's weighty. The plastic green and red lenses are in good condition. I attached a 9 volt battery to the wires and it lit right up. Does not have mounting screws. Please notice the unfortunate gouge on the top of the light. It's about an inch long. Otherwise. This light is in good condition. There is no rusting or pitting on the light inside or out. It was stored outside in a dry climate, so not salty air got to the metal. If you have any questions please ask. Paypal only. It is made out of brass and has one side with green ribbed glass and the other side with red ribbed glass. There is also a divider made of brass that separates the two colors from view of passing ships on the high seas(sometimes seen missing or damaged on other lights) The brass has a nice patina from many decades of life. There is a decent size dent on the slightly-domed top(please see photos) The side of the light is marked with Perko's logo and company info. Being made in Brooklyn,NY. My guess as to age would be from around the 1930s or 40s. It could be even earlier-back into the 20s or so- but I'm not certain. The glass is in good condition. With no major breaks, cracks or scratches. ... morethere is normal wear consistent with age on both red and green glass(in the center particularly- please see photo) Also. The item in these photos is the item you will receive. Made in Brooklyn. New York by Perkins(Perko) Marine Lamp and Hardware. A red and blue bow light. Beautiful patina on this light. This could shine if you cleaned it up but I love leaving the maritime antiques with the patina on them. The picture with the light is a flashlight used to light up the glass. This is a vintage bow light that is a bolt on unit and can be removed when not needed. It came in a box of fishing and hunting items. It's made in USA. I can't see a manufacturers name though. It has patent no. 2301714 on both sides. The internals look good. This wasn't stored with a battery in each side. So it's not all corroded or anything. The bulbs look clean and the parts look good, the inner housing have some light rust. The external parts show it's age. It could be cleaned up. But, I don't like to clean and shine old items, I would rather sell them as they come, as they look, and let the buyer decide. So, what it looks like is what it is. Up for auction is a vintage boating warning light recently found at auction in the suburban Philadelphia. PA area. It is found in good used condition. I am unable to test this to see if it is operational or not, but certainly could be made to work. This light has a tear drop shape and would be mounted in the bow to determine port or starboard sides. It is consistent with 1950-60's era boats. This light would be great for reuse or as a nautical decorative accessory. There is pitting and paint on the chrome surface, as seen in the photos. The lens appears to be plastic. It has a nice deco appearance. I cannot find any markings or numbers. This light measures approximately 3 7/8" x 6 1/4" x 3 14" in size. A nice maritime piece. Very nice as found unrestored antique. From a fresh water location. Appears unmolested. I see no chips in the glass. The glass has a sealer of some type maybe caulking. The chrome has some pitting but would probably polish up pretty nicely. I have not tried to remove the bulb socket- it looks like it needs a good cleaning. You are buying AS IS. It is dented on back of lamp and missing one screw. it appears to be adjustable. I have not truly cleaned this item. The base is almost 4 1/2" in diameter and is stamped. S&J. This is STEELE& JOHNSON(boat,house) I'm not sure what year it was made(30's,40's? although it is from an old estate. the height is about 7" at that angle. I don't know if it could be wired? This is a very nice vintage bow light most likely from a Chris Craft. The glass has no cracks. There are a couple of very minor edge chips inside that can't be seen unless you are searching for them. Hardly worth mentioning) The glass I believe was clear but has a purple tint from age. The light fixture and bulb are inside but not wired or tested. The hole for the flag is 1 1/8" across. And is not slanted. The Chrome is presentable but would need replating if putting on a restored boat. There is a# inside which appears to be 5701. The light is chrome over brass. VINTAGE PERKO BOW BOAT NAVIGATION LIGHT
THIS IS A VERY NICE VINTAGE PERKO BOW BOAT NAVIGATION LIGHT. THE INSIDE IS EMPTY THERE IS NO LIGHT INCLUDED. YOU ARE GETTING JUST THE CASE. THE GLASS DOES HAVE A FEW MINOR SCRATCHES WHICH IS TO BE EXPECTED FOR ITS AGE. ONE OF THE"RIBS" APPEAR TO BE CHIPPED BUT IT IS A MANUFACTURERS DEFECT. THERE IS ALSO A SPOT ON THE RED SIDE. THEY ARE NOT SHARP LIKE YOU WOULD EXPECT A CHIP TO BE. YOU GET RED AND GREEN GLASS INCASED IN BRASS THAT DOES HAVE SOME PETINA BUT CAN BE EASILY POLISHED. IT MEASURES 3" TALL AND 2 3/4" ACROSS WITHOUT THE FLAP. THE THREADED OPENING ON THE BOTTOM MEASURE 1 5/8" PLEASE LOOK AT ALL PICTURES AND ASK ANY QUESTIONS BEFORE BIDDING.

There are 3 holes on 1 side 2 on the other no screws.4- Is a 9 1/2 inch tall I believe BRONZE Stern light. The light top is I believe plastic with a couple of crazing and paint spots. This is a vintage 1960s boat bow light marked Nautalloy CR627 with the flag holder on top. This was used on a variety of boats. There is pitting and scratches with one red and one blue lens. Vintage pre-owned polished bronze marine bow light with working 12v bulb and socket-I am unable to find any manufactures markings or logo( in the style of ABW. Perko etc. hard plastic lenses have some small scuffs etc. red and green( photos show the starboard to be blue)6" front to back, 3 1/4" at its widest point, and 3" in height. 1" deep 5/8" diameter flagpole holder in top-remnants of prior plating on outer surfaces-weighs 1 lb. 6 oz.fully functional usable condition-displays well-see all photos for more description- The items I offer( both vintage and new old stock and other oddities) are from my own collections or local( Illinois and Wisconsin) estate sales and other auctions etc. I am not an expert in any given field but I do try to be accurate.
